A Simple Life But a Great God

Good day sister saints!

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

Galatians 5:22-2

Amen and praise God we can know the truth and His holy ways!

I was just thinking how I often say about the simple life we may live or some of us at least. And to what is that a comparison to? We know the world is always out seeking more and more of stuff and amusement and money and fame and on and on. But we have been set free from all that. So we may call our quiet lives as godly women simple but it is the best life and one with the greatest riches and promises of a glorious future! We serve a great and almighty God Creator of the universe and so we are immensely blessed with great treasures! And it's good to be free from the unnecessary clutter and distractions that satan has in the world for people to feed their flesh on too. There's so much out there to tempt and allure a soul away from God. So let us sisters rejoice in this simple life we get to live so we can focus on what is most important, Christ and things above! As the Word also reminds us to be content with food and raiment.

So I share a few things I have for today.

I finished my skirt sewing for a customer...

And relaxed, after sewing and cleaning it all up, with a cup of tea...

(Thank you faithful sister saint for all those scripture pictures:-)

Amen, good news of God's Word and of saints striving on in holiness and truth is refreshing! And particularly true in these days when the remnant is scattered on the face of the earth wherever God has them.

"For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;"
3 John 1:3-5

A sister and I were instant messaging today and I was outside and so I sent her this video of a rainbow that appeared for us to share. I can't remember seeing so many rainbows before. So pretty and beautiful creations! And a privilege to share with a sister on the other side of this big earth.

A view out of my room window as the sun was setting with all the water laying around.

You realise how much of a blessing water is that we get more of in winter here when you look back at pictures from the summer and see this...

Water is seemingly so simple but it is so essential. Reminds me of the water of life in the spiritual sense because without physical water life cannot survive. And we would perish too without Christ who is the living water.

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
Revelation 22:17

And steaming bowls of pumpkin soup for a cold night listening to rain. Cozy!

Again, simple blessings to be thankful for!

OK sisters! That's all from me for today. I had a busy day but yet with simple things in it. Maybe some of you have that kind of a quiet simple life too. And let us be content and rejoice in what we are called to do. It may be a simple life but we have a great God and a blessed and glorious hope set before us if we endure!

"That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
Hebrews 6:18-20

Love in Christ sisters!
