Greetings sisters who love and obey the Lord!
I am blessed to have another day to come to you with some simple edification and sharing from God's Word. And you are blessed with another day too if you are reading this!
The Father knows us and all our days for sure.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows."
Matthew 10:29-31
I was pondering on the subject of diligence. As Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 women, we have many duties to do. And many times we do the same things every day yet we must do them diligently and well as unto the Lord with thankfulness and contentment.
"He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich."
Proverbs 10:4
It is good to be diligent in our duties as godly women...and Titus 2 teaches us to be good. But above all we ought to diligently seek the Lord first.
"But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Hebrews 11:6
And we must be very diligent in all our ways in obeying Him.
"Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee."
Deuteronomy 6:17
"Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless."
2 Peter 3:14
I love this one...
"Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work."
1 Timothy 5:10
Are we diligently following every good work sisters? Of course we each have different lives and none are exactly alike but are we being faithful in what each of us has been given?
We are blessed to have free access to God's Word so none of us are without excuse in how we ought to live. Let us who have been born by the Spirit diligently seek the Lord and all His ways. And we need to remind ourselves of so many different things in this life. We test and examine our lives to make sure we are not slipping in any area.
In regards to that, it is a blessing to have communication with other saints in the things of God and our roles we have and also blogs to remind us all of different aspects of being godly women.
"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."
Hebrews 2:1
Diligence also means that we won't ignore any area of scripture. We will study the areas in scripture that particularly instruct us as women (as well as the rest). We will strive to have a meek and quiet spirit as 1 Peter 3 and 1 Corinthians 14 teach. We will dress biblically in long and loose dress like garments in obedience to 1 Timothy 2. We will cover our heads as in 1 Corinthians 11.
We will diligently obey what Titus 2:3-5 has for us women.
- that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
- not false accusers,
- not given to much wine,
- teachers of good things;
- That they may teach the young women
- to be sober,
- to love their husbands,
- to love their children,
- To be discreet,
- chaste,
- keepers at home,
- good,
- obedient to their own husbands,
Let us be diligent in all these things as our reasonable service to the Lord and out of our love for Him which means we obey Him.
And of course there are many other areas of scripture for us to diligently follow as well as ones that teach us to be diligent in our work.
"Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality."
Romans 12:10-13
And I share a video of some amazing creatures of God that my sister in the Lord shared with me. She saw them all on her morning today and we are blessed to have the ability to share God's creation across the world.
Glory to God!
" And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."
Colossians 3:23-24
Well I hope this has edified and blessed you. I remind myself of these things also as I write my blog to you all.
Until next time...
Grace, mercy, and peace
In love, from a daughter of God.
