"Sin No More"

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 8:11-12

We know that sin has no place in the life of a godly woman (or any follower of Christ). When we believe and obey the gospel we know we must forsake all sin. We want to! We know God is a holy and pure God.

If we truly are claiming to be Christians, we really need to check our own lives and not fool ourselves. If we are keeping sin, then we must address it. We should be studying the Word to see what sin is and not listening to man-made Sunday type religion that Christianity has become today. We will be deceived. Great deception is upon the world and we must be aware of this.

For myself as a godly woman striving on, I want to get rid of all things that are not pleasing to a holy God if I learn of them. And I have repented of everything I know is sinful and am holding fast and growing in the Lord as He faithfully leads me. Not to say it's always easy, no, but we must focus on the holy Lord and the fact that if we continue to sin wilfully we are in great danger of eternal punishment. Read Hebrews 10:26-31 for that truth. The Spirit gives us power to be victorious and leave sin. We have to act to leave it too of course...and the Lord will forgive if we repent.

For me, as I have shared some about before, I had to repent of and forsake these things...

*unbiblical clothing and not headcovering

*music related things from the past (which is worldly and covetous)

*Christmas & easter

*Sunday as the Lord's Day (as it isn't), and other false ways

*And for another example, I deleted my YouTube account where I used to follow this and that Bible teacher which I now know better as they had unbiblical ways and also we women shouldn't be wandering around on the internet looking for theology. There's great deception out there.

And I had to learn many other things too. But the Lord is faithful to lead and guide us if we are willing as a result of our faith in Him and because we are new creations in Him.

I can only speak for myself. We are, and were, all different and come from different lives and backgrounds but there will be in others many of the same sins to leave for Christ. And if you still are doing them, they must be left as you seek the Lord.

If you know there's something wrong with Christmas and Easter, they have pagan connections, you can't find a command to do them in the Bible, yet you don't forsake them...then it is wilful sin to continue. Look into that yourself.

If you know you aren't wearing a head covering (or are wearing an unbiblical adorned or too small one), and the Lord who you claim to love and obey says to wear one, don't you think that is sinful not to? Study 1 Corinthians 11.

If you know your clothes are adorned with patterns and flowers and the Lord says not to adorn then don't you think that is a sin that you must forsake? See 1 Peter 3 & 1 Timothy 2:9.

Are you practising ways not found in scripture? Are you not doing things that the Lord commands us to do? See Mark 7 about adding our own ways to God's ways.

Ask yourself these questions and get real with your self and heart. I had to do it and the holy saints of the past had to. The time is short. You don't want to perish in your sins.

"Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."
Romans 6:12-18

Please read the blog post linked above and examine your own life to see if you are living in disobedience, or unless you repent you will perish. We share these facts because, just like God, we don't want any of you women reading this to perish but all of you to come to repentance. The saints love God first and others next and so we reach out in love to those of you claiming to be believers and yet still sinning. (Remember loving God means keeping His commandments, John 14:15, 1 John 5:3.) Yes we may fail still on occasions but we know the Lord is faithful if we get back up and repent and don't live in sin wilfully.

Just as my sister in the Lord and I had to do (and all other saints), get rid of it all out of obedience to the Lord's commands. If we are born by the Spirit we want to forsake sin...or it will lead to eternal destruction. We don't want that for ourselves or for anyone else. We want to help people see the truth and repent before it's too late.

....from a servant of the Lord
