I was just reading in Philippians 2 and I was reminded how Christ was a humble servant. And so it refreshed my own memory to see how I am doing at that myself.
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
How Christ suffered unjustly...for us. And we know that those of us who truly believe in Him shall also suffer with Him.
But back to that first scripture I shared. How can we as women be like Christ as it says this same mind should be in us? As disciples of Christ, how are we doing at this serving? Think of God Himself washing His own disciples' feet!
Is our serving others around us in whatever way we have been called to do, following after His perfect example? It's something I have to examine my own self in and see if I can do better. As women, particularly keepers at home, we can have a lot of opportunities to serve. What does our serving look like though? Is it joyful, hard working, and uncomplaining serving? Or is it reluctant, complaining, and self seeking? God sees and knows all, including our motives in what looks like good serving. It's something I think about in my situation. And I want to learn to do better day by day following the Saviour's example.
Since we have such a great Saviour, I pray every reader, no matter who you are, would consider it all for themselves and examine their own lives to see if they truly are in the faith or not.
Christ is the ONLY way by which we can find deliverance and eternal life.
But no one can come their own way to Him. It must be by the true gospel which leads to eternal life if we endure. Dear reader, do you know the good news to eternal life or have you been deceived by today's Christianity or other false religions or ways?
- You must believe and have faith in Christ as the Saviour who died and shed His blood as a sacrifice for sin. He was God Himself come to earth as a man.
- You must repent of your sins and turn your vain and sinful worldly ways to God's holy ways.
- You will be born again by God's Spirit and become a new creation in Him seeking after God's ways and truth.
- You must bring forth good fruit which is evidence of your faith by obeying God's word and striving to live a holy life for God's glory.
- You must endure to the end in your faith unless you have believed in vain.
For more on this good news see here.
Christ is worthy of our entire lives...for we all do not deserve to live but die for we have all sinned grievously against a holy God. But there is hope through Him and His ways only. We can't come to Him in our own made up ways.
Those who have believed and obeyed the gospel are new creations of God. May God be glorified in our lives as we strive to live as Christ showed us how.
Press on down the narrow road, fellow saints! I hope to see our Lord and Saviour and you all at the end. Let us give glory to the Lord our Redeemer!
"What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
