Today's Edification (17 June 2025)

Hello sister saints!

Another day of God's goodness and mercies for me to drop in here. I hope you're striving on steadfastly. I had a busy day cleaning so am just dropping in here.

There is a lot in the psalms to encourage us!

For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Psalm 33:4-5

In fact I wanted to read psalm 33 and 34 right through! I know I have the scripture readings elsewhere but it's just good to read His Word again no matter how many times!

Hope those encouraged you! Sometimes different things stand out at different times in our lives don't they. There's a lot for when we're rejoicing and a lot for comfort when we are sad and sorrowing.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
James 5:13

God is good indeed. Let us serve Him with our whole heart!

Keep pressing forwards sisters! There's always hope in Christ if we are truly seeking Him in humility and truth. Love to you in His name and if He wills I will be back here again tomorrow!

Today's Edification (16 June 2025)

Hello again sister saints!

I hope all is well with you wherever you are on the earth. God granted another day to edify you here! It's a good subject to ponder...edifying.

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:19

It means to build up doesn't it. We aren't to tear down or destroy others of course! That is of the flesh as there's scriptures that speak of strife and envy, and even discouraging someone would not be edifying them. Good to ponder and make sure we aren't doing it. Doesn't mean we don't speak against false ways but encouraging others in the faith is what we should be doing. Each of God's children has to live and walk by faith themselves and give account of their actions but we can edify and encourage them in all good things!

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Romans 15:14

For we have been called to be perfect, spotless, and unreproveable in Christ. We know He does a work in us but we have striving to do no doubt!

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Colossians 1:21-23

Praise God for the hope of the gospel! We don't go into the keeping of the old law as the Galatians were either but serve our Lord in holiness and righteousness.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6

Indeed we love God first and others as ourselves. And within that is a lot! We're so blessed to have His written word; Jesus' words what He spake Himself and also what He gave us through His holy apostles. And the old testament provides a foundation and a lot of context and history for us. It also helps highlight the supremacy of Christ and His new and living way! The law was indeed a schoolmaster to bring people to Christ!

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Romans 7:4

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
And having an high priest over the house of God;
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
Hebrews 10:19-27

So let us continue in the faith in Christ and labour to be accepted of Him. Keep going in all your godly women's works and duties the Lord has given you too, sisters! Lord willing I will drop in again tomorrow to share some edifying. The times are indeed evil as they often have been anyway since early in the times of man but we know our Saviour's return draws nearer and let us rejoice in the hope to come! Let us have His peace and keep our eyes on Him and not on all the trials. Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (15 June 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I am back and so are you if you're reading this. I hope you are faithful in the Lord and all His truth and obedience and therefore my sister in the Lord who is our Father. As Jesus said...

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Matthew 12:50

Let us seek His will, to not only hear it but to do it, and be His children and siblings in His family.

Life is a precious gift and it is not something we want to take lightly. We must be wise and preparing for our eternity. It profits nothing if we gain here on this earth even the whole world and lose our own souls. If our treasures are on this earth, our heart will be here and not with the Lord. We don't want that. All this here is perishing but our God and His Word, indeed all things above, are eternal!

There are a lot of good scriptures to encourage us to be ready.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
1 Peter 4:7

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
2 Peter 3:11-14

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18

There's so many more scriptures on it of course. But let us not be living for right here and now alone but for the future while we do take each day and live it faithfully the best we can.

Just sharing this scripture because it's good and our God is good!

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified...
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
Isaiah 61:1-3,10-11

Our God is good! May He be our comforter and our deliverer!

A sister shared some scriptures on the importance of Jesus' words and God's word in general so I read them here to edify us all. We need to heed and listen to His words.

His Word is indeed part of our spiritual armour we should be using!

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Ephesians 6:17

May we live by every word of God.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Matthew 4:4,7,10

Keep walking by faith sisters! It's such a faithless age but our God reigns and abides faithful and will reward the faithful!

Today's Edification (14 June 2025)

Hello sisters!

I hope you're standing fast in the faith today and walking in the truth! Our life is short. Big things are made up of small things. We want to be faithful each day, so each hour and minute in fact matters! And our life is made up of these small time fragments. We want to be redeeming the time in good things that are necessary and useful. We have been set free from that which is useless and vain!

Here's some reminders and encouragement for us women again! Good to refresh in!

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
1 Timothy 2:9-15

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
1 Timothy 5:9-10

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
1 Peter 3:1-6

We are blessed to have commands and examples to obey and follow. Let's keep seeking to do that sisters! There's so much in those scriptures to ponder on, depending on what life the Lord has for us, married or unmarried. Yet there's things that apply to all of us of course. Good to ponder on being shamefaced and having meek and quiet spirits, the hidden man of the heart which is of great price to God! He sees us going about our duties and we know there is order in His creations of man and of woman and also in the body of Christ.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3

Let us humbly serve our God in the places and roles and duties He has called us in!

Strive on faithfully sisters! Love you in the Lord our God who first loved us. May our Lord be magnified!

Today's Edification (13 June 2025)

Hello again sisters in the Lord!

I'm back to share some edifying from the Word! I hope you're striving on in the faith that was once delivered. It is the truth that the Lord told us that man cannot change that we seek after. We don't change it to better accommodate the changing culture or make it 'more relevant' but we change to conform to it. All who come to the truth must change. All must repent...that is to turn and leave all ways that are contrary to the truth.

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 6:16

Yes let us seek the Lord's truth and walk in it and be not stiffnecked or rebellious. May we be humbly submitted to the Lord and His ways. His ways are truly good!

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8

Right through the scriptures the message has always been the same, to leave sin and turn to God and His holy ways.

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Ezekiel 18:30

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 3:19

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 20:21

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Acts 26:20

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

We too hope that all would repent. Sad that so few do but God wants those who diligently seek Him. Them He rewards!

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

So let's strive on, turning from any sins and false ways we find ourselves in. The Lord help us and may we keep lowly and humble before Him as He is to be feared, yet we can find comfort in His love when we are walking in the truth to the best of our ability and knowledge.

Keep pressing on in your godly women's duties too! The Lord sees, sisters! What is better than the mighty God's approval?

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32

Much love to my true sisters in Christ, and God knows who those all are around the world. May we pray that we will endure faithful to the end through such a deceived and dark age. The Lord is light!

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105

In His light we shall not stumble! Hold fast sister saints!

Today's Edification (12 June 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're doing well wherever you are on God's earth! I am striving on here and keeping busy.

We know and serve a mighty God don't we! It is good and essential to keep our eyes on Him through all this life.

The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Psalm 50:1

Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Psalm 150:1-2

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Zephaniah 3:17

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
Luke 1:49

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

He can do all things!

Today's Edification (11 June 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I am dropping in with some edifying from the word of truth! I hope you're pressing on in it today!

For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
2 John 1:2-4

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:4

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1 John 1:6

I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
1 John 2:21

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
James 1:18

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17:17

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:22

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Yes our Lord and His way is about truth! There is only one way to eternal life and one truth of how to get there! Let us diligently seek only the pure truth of the Word of God and reject man's ways which are contrary to truth of which there are so very many.

Hold fast in the truth my sisters including those ones which are for women! In that too we do not believe the lies that doing everyday duties like cooking and cleaning and washing clothes and looking after children aren't important! Those are part of God's will for women indeed. That is the truth!

Strive on sisters! Rejoice in hope that is in the truth! Lord willing I will be back here tomorrow. Love to you in the faith.

Today's Edification (10 June 2025)

Hello sisters!

Another day of many blessings we have been given by the Lord! May we give thanks in all things for this is His will for us!

Let us keep choosing good and abhoring evil. There's so many scriptures on these which make it so clear what we are to be doing in this life.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Romans 12:9

Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
Proverbs 3:27-28

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Colossians 1:10

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:10

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10

Yes that's what we are! So let us keep following after our God who is good! And we surely want to be trees bearing good fruit for His glory!

It's time for a picture catchup post I reckon. Time moves on fast doesn't it. We want to be redeeming the time in all good and useful things which please Him.

Winter is truly here now! God in His mercy has blessed the land with rain and it is greening up! Amazing how fast the season can change as it's been an unusually dry one before this.

Been some beautiful rainbows too!

Which remind us of His sure promises and faithfulness!

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
Acts 14:17

There was the craziest storm that came through here and it blew down three trees all around the same time!

This one had bright red roots!

But these were growing on rock so maybe they weren't rooted deeply enough. Spiritul lesson that we want to be deeply rooted in Christ and His word and truth so we won't get swept away when the storms of life come.

Pretty clouds illuminated by the moonlight. It was the whole sky like this and not just what the camera can pick up.

The heavens declare the glory of God!

Peaceful.

I'm continuing to travel back and forth to the children's. Last time I had to go on a longer one to pick up some chicks for them. It was interesting terrain though and getting rather remote. Red soil and hills.

What was interesting too is the woman that came out at the farm was fully headcovered with long plain clothing just as we would. But she was Jewish and not Christian. Really rare to see anyone dressed like that though! We were both curious of each other! If she's interested in the Saviour she can look into the truth from the gospel card I gave her.

The children enjoy the chicks...

One time we thought some kind of bird had taken one as we put them outside in a box to get some sunshine and scratch in the dirt but in the evening it was found so that was a relief! But it must have gotten pretty cold out there! It did remind me of the scriptures on lost and found too. There's often something in daily life to remind you of spiritual concepts isn't there! Jesus used a lot of parables in fact too. It just makes things sink in deeper sometimes when you can picture things better or something.

Extra meals for the freezer for people who were having babies...

Good cold nights for warming slow cooked stews too...

I have a little house plant in my little home now...

Just adds a nice touch! I was given it and I am thankful for it! Hope it thrives!

Still working on sewing when I can! Modifying the girl dress pattern I had, to be better.

I was able to put them into practice in this tiny dress for my newborn niece too!

New life is a miracle and blessing from the Lord! So precious!

I'm getting quite a fabric stash after all the fabric sales that I try to stock up in! Good blessings too! A lot of sewing coming up Lord willing then! But one day at a time and you can only do so much!

Garments in the making can look a mess but it's nice bringing order to them!

Can be confusing too and mistakes can be made but I am learning a lot lately and I am thankful.

I thought this was interesting when I was driving down our road seeing the sun setting in the mirror and the moon ahead. Picture doesn't show it as beautiful as it was but I had to park and take a picture:) Just simple every day things in His creations to enjoy. God is good.

So I think that is all for now until the next time I post more pictures. Only God knows what will be in that time! Let us trust in Him for the future and rest knowing He is in control and we haven't been promised an easy life. We have relatively easy lives now for the most part but we must also strive to overcome the dangers in those in themselves.

May we keep doing our duties as women well and improving in them too. It's a blessing to learn how to be more in line with the Lord's ways isn't it. I think I shared about order and how we are to be living orderly lives to God's ways and that also affects how we live in physical things too.

Hold fast, sisters, to the Lord and His truth in this deceived dark age. Love and peace to you in His name. We love Him because He first loved us and He teaches us to love one another. So all things are for His glory and there is none to us. May He be magnified!

Today's Edification (9 June 2025)

Greetings again sisters!

Because of the Lord's mercies I am back again to edify and share in the Lord!

Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Psalm 30:4-5

Our God is a good God! He is the only one true and living God and the so called other ones are less than vanity and nothing. He was manifest in the flesh in Christ and He is our Saviour! What a perfect example we have in Him!

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Timothy 3:16

We are thankful to know the certainty of what is written...

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
Luke 1:1-4

To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Acts 1:3

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

So let us press on with confidence and firm faith in the truth of Christ our Saviour! May we continue in the faith to the end!

Our Saviour and the reward to come is worth it! Be strong and of good courage my sisters! Love to you in the truth and faith.

Today's Edification (8 June 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Here's a new day of His mercies that I get to write to you! I hope most of all that you are striving on in the faith and truth in Christ! What else matters really?

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
3 John 1:2-5

It is a rare joy to hear of someone walking in all truth today! Truth matters so much! God is a God of truth and we do know where all falsehoods come from. Let us keep loving the truth and living it!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

We want to do the will of God don't we! So let us give thanks in all things! He is good and there's much to focus on that is pure and true!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6

What are our requests? I'm sure we have them and that's good admonition of what we are to do with them and not be anxious for things ourselves!

And let us learn to be content as well...

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Philippians 4:11

Keep striving in the faith and truth my sisters! Our redemption draws nearer! Love to you in our Lord who first loved us! The glory be to Him!
