Today's Edification (7 August 2025)

Greetings again sister saints!

Just dropping in at the end of my busy day here. Hope you're keeping occupied in all good things wherever the Lord has you on this huge earth! But the Lord sees all His children and knows them all.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2 Timothy 2:19
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Psalm 33:18
For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:12

Let us walk by faith knowing these are true and doing that which pleases Him. We know He is ever present so let that help us keep following His ways as we want to. It can be comforting knowing He sees all. Definitely fearful for those sinning against Him. But a comfort to know He sees our good works done unto Him. He sees any of our failings or sins and also what other people do to us, the good and the bad. Nothing escapes His eye.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
Proverbs 15:3

Let us keep walking in a manner fitting of this holy calling we have. The Lord help us. Strive on in all good things sisters! Love to you in the Lord our God.

Salutations to my godly sisters!

I hope you are holding fast to the Lord wherever you are! I have another day to be able to edify in the Lord...so I am.

I was reading in Acts and I know I shared some of this the other day but there's always something else to look at in a passage.

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
Acts 16:14

I was just thinking about this woman named Lydia who was a seller of purple of the city of Thyatira. And that is one of the cities spoken to in the book of Revelation so it's just interesting to go and read that account too!

And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

And I will give him the morning star.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 2:18-29

It is interesting that Jesus speaks against some sins this woman Jezebel was committing which were ones the apostles had spoken to the Gentiles about which I also just read in Acts too.

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

Acts 15:23-31

The whole chapter is about that and a good one to go read too. Just makes me think about leading a quiet life in good works keeping ourselves from the world and such pollutions, simply pleasing our Lord. The faith doesn't have to be complex and hard to find His will. Yes we do live in perilous times but we just need to keep ourselves from all those many deceptions and humbly follow our Lord by faith in obedience as His dear children.

His Word is good and I am thankful we have it to read and ponder and obey!

So strive on in the Lord my sisters. May He give you what you need as you seek it from Him. Love to you in the faith of Christ. Keep pressing on in all the duties set before you!

Today's Edification (5 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 Peter 1:2-5

That's a wonderful scripture with precious promises.

I was just thinking lately too how if we may be feeling down or overwhelmed or exhausted or whatever as there are many things in life that can make us feel that way sometimes, we really need to refocus on the Lord and that truly should set us straight. Easier said than done sometimes (especially if we are physically not feeling well), because the trials of this life can be great and it is also good to be sober minded and also there is a time to be grieved and sad but in general in everyday life it really helps to quickly change our thinking to His wonderful goodness and rejoice and be thankful! Because in the Lord we can rejoice though in this world we will have tribulation as our Lord told us. If we're feeling tired and draggy on a busy day may we ponder the strength of the Lord and His admonition to not grow weary in any good thing. We can ponder the precious promises ahead for those who overcome. There's just so many good things...in the Lord, that we can continue to be of good courage and press on in our days. Jesus came into this groaning world to serve us and loved us so much that He died a horrible death that we may be delivered. There's just so much to be grateful for! Let us look to Him and not on the 'storms' of this life! Let us be like the one healed leper, who serves Him with a thankful heart for all He did for us.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

So keep pressing on day by day sisters! We have so much consolation in Christ! Hold fast and be of good cheer if you are striving on faithfully. Love, peace and mercy to you.

Today's Edification (4 August 2025)

Hello again sisters in the Lord!

That's a beautiful sunrise here this morning! It was windy too so the clouds were blowing over as well. It did bring to mind what Jesus said...

He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
Matthew 16:2-3

Let us be watching and on guard knowing that the times are perilous, and being ready to meet our Maker. I hope you're pressing on in the faith wherever you are!

This is a wonderful scripture to remember...

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:11-14

God's word is just so truthful and good and has a lot packed into it for us to ponder on and live out. The world's books are just so empty and vain compared to His Word and of course oftentimes sinful as well but His pure Word is perfect! Let us live by every word of God! I am very thankful we have His written Word in our language today. Let us treasure it and not take it lightly but keep being doers of it as well as hearers and readers of it.

I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
1 Thessalonians 5:27
And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.
Colossians 4:16

This is interesting too...

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3

Our lives should indeed be the Word lived out in practice in the different lives we each have as not all scriptures apply to all of us of course.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:14-17

His Word says everything best so I will leave it at that for today!

Keep living out the Word sisters, and I will keep striving to here as well. May the Lord help us, for without Him we can do nothing. Let us abide in the Vine and bear much fruit for His glory!

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:4-10

Mercy, peace, and love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (3 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are doing well today and running your race with patience one more day He granted us!

I'm just sharing some scriptures of Christ as our High Priest. Good to ponder and know how things are today in the better covenant. Praise God for His truth revealed to us!

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Hebrews 2:17-18

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
Hebrews 3:1-2

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

Hebrews 5:1-5

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Hebrews 6:20

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Hebrews 7:24-28

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
Hebrews 8:1-2

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Hebrews 9:11

And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:21-22

He is the only way to the Father and eternal life! Let us seek Him and obey His voice.

Hold fast sisters and keep pressing on in all your duties God gave you! May we continue to be to the praise of the glory of His grace! My love to you in the faith.

Today's Edification (2 August 2025)

Hello sisters!

I am back to share some edifying with you! I hope you are doing well in the Lord our wonderful God and Father! We are so blessed in that we always have Him with us so long as we stay close to Him. He is our rock and our helper. In Him we live and move and have our being.

This scripture stood out to me lately...

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

And how we are to be striving to be quiet. Yes that word study is one of those archaic kjv ones I believe which you can look up yourself but it's just good to ponder what is being commanded for us here. As His Word always means something and is never in vain.

We know the tongue can get us into a lot of trouble. We know we are to live peaceable with all as much as lies with us. We know we are to mind our own business and not be busy bodies and meddle in others affairs. We know we are to work to support ourselves where applicable.

And it also stood out the example Paul set of working really hard physically in a job to support himself even though he had a right to be supported.

For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

2 Thessalonians 3:7-12

There is that word 'quiet'ness again.

So for women too where it is possible we too can labour at a good and pure job to support ourselves. No I don't believe married women with children should if it takes them from their important responsibilities unless it's something they can do within that and it's necessary but it's just good to know what is good and honest and right for us to be doing to be blameless. Let us be eager to be quiet and lead a peaceable honest life in the lands we live in.

And of course much we do is not for pay and that is very good too as we are to serve and be helpful and useful. But there's a time and a season for many different things. Of course there's a time to speak and a time not to as well. Just good to ponder on the Lord's will.

And we women also have the specific command that meek and quiet spirits are of great price to God! This is His truth and we must surrender to it along with everything else.

So strive on in all good works my sisters! Love, peace, and mercy to you as our Lord first extended those to us! If He wills I will share again tomorrow. I had a busy day in the garden and in housework so am ready for rest soon. I'm sure my sisters are keeping busy in good things! Press on sisters! The Lord sees!

Today's Edification (1 August 2025)

Greetings sisters!

God is good and merciful today and always. We have another day to serve Him in hope. And we also fear Him as this is the beginning of wisdom and we do want to be truly wise. No not wise with worldly wisdom but with God's wisdom.

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:13-18

That's a good scripture for us to study on what true godly wisdom looks like. We want to know to walk in it and also to be aware when it isn't there in people as we know we do not fellowship with those outside of the truth.

A few more scriptures for us women on wisdom...

Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
Proverbs 14:1
She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.
Proverbs 31:26

Indeed our God is the source of all wisdom. Let us keep learning of His ways through His Word and may He help us!

Keep pressing on my sisters! Love to you in our Lord who first loved us. May He be glorified in us!
