Today's Edification (31 December 2024)

Greetings sisters!

One more day of life and breath and a heartbeat and so many hundreds of other things that must work together all over His creations each day! His creation is amazing and so complex but that's nothing for our almighty God who spoke it all into existence anyway! He is infinitely bigger than it all. I know that's hard for us to fathom but we have faith and trust in it. And we know we are not our own and so we do not just do whatever we want! We submit to Him and I'm glad He told us what pleases Him! He is a good God and His commands are based on love. That is true love and not all the worldly interpretations of it.

I love this scripture which defines what godly love will look like...

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

It is very important that we have this right as we know our duty is summed up in loving God and others.

It is faith which works by love...

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6

And of course there's so many scriptures on it it's so important as all of His Word is.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:8-10

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
Galatians 5:13

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Ephesians 4:15

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Ephesians 5:2

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
2 Corinthians 2:4

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:22

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
Colossians 2:2

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
1 Thessalonians 3:12

So may we sisters!

Just catching up on whatever pictures I have from the last week or so since I posted the last one or it's probably been longer than that now!

Been able to get some more seeds into the ground. Beans and more pumpkins and zucchini as well as some potatoes.

It's amazing the whole concept of planting seeds and then tending the plants until the harvest and then the whole cycle repeats if you allow some to set seed for next season!

And quite a bit of watering to be done...

Water is so refreshing especially on a hot day!

But there was some rain which watered things for a day or two!

Such a blessing it is!

So nice to see green flourishing plants in places that are watered when it's dry and dead around here. Green is a refreshing colour to the eye I think. Just a picture of life!

I was pruning the apricot tree and it looked so nice looking up at the blue sky and green leaves and sunshine

A beautiful sight of sun-ripening peaches...
The air smells so good and peachy too!

There's a lot of hungry creatures around too to try to keep off...

More food blessings...

And there's always cooking to be done and thankful for daily bread the Lord provides and a variety of things to cook with.

We are to be content with food and raiment and surely we have so many more blessings than that!

Thankful to finally have a good amount of shirts in stock on my store!

And hope to keep on top of making them as they sell as they have been going out relatively well though of course biblical clothing is not popular in this lascivious prideful age.

I'm sure you sisters know what this little tool is...

I'm sure you've had to use it too! In trying to learn new things, there's always trial and error. As you can perhaps see, things didn't line up in my next project. I shared how I was doing button front skirts. Well I figured it would be best just to have buttons up the top so I'm learning how to do a button placket. No I haven't done them before. Well not partial ones anyway which are a different matter to ones that are the whole way down. And that's one good use of the internet to learn new things as I don't use any patterns for my skirts. But you just keep trying and it's why I make trial skirts in my size! I did end up with this previous button up skirt I made due to one very small detail which disqualified it for selling. There's so much that can go wrong...even right at the end as it did here. The button hole was too big for the waistband so there's not enough fabric left at the top for me to feel comfortable selling it as it could tear over time. Otherwise it was a perfect skirt. Just a little disappointing but it's all good and you learn to not do so large a button hole there next time!

And that's how it is in life in general right sisters. We all face situations we never have before and some are hard to know what to do in and how to react! And to be honest often it's best to say and do nothing I think if we are unsure but the Lord can help us if we stop and think and pray if we can. All depends on the situation but the Lord is good to help us learn and grow. Obviously we are human and don't always make the perfect decision every single time. No one does. But we just do our best and keep going and over time as we face more of the same and similar situations we faced before, we mature and know how to handle them better!

God is so merciful to us to help us grow and not just condemn us when we fail! Let us go towards Him! And also be merciful to our fellow humans, especially the saints as they also learn and grow as well. Love covers a multitude of sin. That's what God's Word says and I'm standing on it. We don't want to go repeating or laughing about others mistakes but be merciful and gracious knowing we all make mistakes even though we don't want to and we don't just say it's OK, no. It's never OK to sin. Sin leads to death but we have growth to do and purging out the old as we cultivate the new. And there's so many daily life situations that we must discern and make the best decisions based on the Word and putting it all together. The Lord help us.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 5:14

It's the last few hours of the year here. While we don't do the partying like the world does and all that foolishness it does cause reflection on time. (Even out in the country I can hear the heavy metal beat from someone's party down the road.) The closing of another year seems to me to have quite a bit of gravity to it as we consider all that was in the year past and what may be to come which we know not and it is like a blank slate to us at least. God knows. We must trust in Him each of the 365 days ahead and beyond of course. But we really don't even know if we will get another year, let alone another day. I hope and pray we all strive on faithfully ahead in whatever comes no matter how hard it is. We must be faithful unto the end, unto death, to be saved.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Psalm 90:8-17

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
1 Peter 1:17-21
So may we press on and Lord willing I can continue to daily edify you with the Word here and daily life as I strive to be a godly woman as the Lord grows me. I need all the reminders and exhorting myself that I share here too! Let us all redeem the time as the days are certainly evil. I cannot stress enough how much we need to cling to the Word in this changing darkening world. The Lord is our only hope and light. Let us abide in Him in truth and leave not His ways as even the righteous will scarcely be saved. We do not want to come short of the mark but press on diligently to be saved in the end. Hold fast my sisters! Love to you in His name. May He be magnified!

Today's Edification (30 December 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Another day of His new mercies this is! He is good!

Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Psalm 40:11

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Psalm 51:1

Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
Psalm 69:16

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.
Psalm 119:77

Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.
Psalm 119:156

Let us keep hoping in His mercy day by day as we fear and serve Him.

So glad for this woman who was healed but we also see the hearts of the people around...

And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

Luke 13:10-17

May we truly judge rightly and not make up commandments.

Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?
Luke 12:56-57

Indeed we want to be careful of what is going on around us to not be deceived. We can look to the Word to see some of the things that will be in these last days. It's not a picture of good in any way. The saints will be few. We have to be so ready to stand so strong to endure to the end.

Just sharing some from my readings today and sometimes things stand out more than other times.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:44

Thankful for the Lord's help in coming to Him. We need Him so much! And this is a precious promise to trust in...

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:37

There can be a lot of things to vex us in this world. The unbelieving world and all the foolishness and darkness of it and other religions too, and also perhaps more vexing are those who take our Saviour's name and live practically like the unbelievers and also those who are like the Pharisees of Jesus day, full of hypocrisy and seemingly acting as they did as well, including condemning the innocent and such like. We can only hope and pray all the true saints of God strive on with courage and bravery in these perilous times. We really must focus on our own walk. Not much time to sit and focus on the world and all the bad things, we must keep marching on ourselves sisters lest we also be swallowed up in some kind of sin, be it lukewarmness or bitterness or fleshly ways to make ourselves feel better. May we trust in our Rock, sisters and more and more follow hard after Him who is the only truth. Truth is absolutely done away with in this world for the most part as people believe a lie and don't feel any guilt for acting in falsehoods. May we look for His appearing and pray His kingdom come soon. May we focus on being ready ourselves lest we be left outside the gates with the unbelievers and those taking His name yet bearing rotten fruit.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Matthew 7:20-25

This life is indeed very serious. May we do the will of God. We will stand strong like a house built upon a rock if we do!

Another year is coming to a close and no doubt as we think about time it is an extra good time to ponder on eternity. Are we ready? Will we endure faithful to the Lord and hold fast and grow in this next year? I hope and pray so for all my sisters (and brothers) all over the world few though they may be. All souls are precious but we know only the holy ones will be saved. May we cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart and also know we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom. Marvel not my sisters if there are hard times in this faith walk. We have been told it will be so! Just hold on and keep standing and have your armour up! But it is also a most glorious life as we have such a good Saviour and God and much He has prepared for those who love Him! Rejoice in hope sisters and may we not let satan get an advantage of us and steal our peace and joy and bring condemnation.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 3:18-24

Hold fast sisters and keep striving for the kingdom! My love be with you, mercy and peace.

Today's Edification (29 December 2024)

Good day sisters!

I am back again! In the Lord, we live and move and have our being! Without Him we can do nothing. We are to do all things for His glory! We are nothing before Him and so let us serve Him in meekness and godly fear. And yet with great joy at the hope He has offered us in His Son! May we shelter in this love that He showed the whole world as we must abide in Christ to the end to be saved. We abide in Him by keeping His Word. May we be diligent about that sisters. And I am very thankful to know the way and how He wants us as women to please Him!

Let's refresh in some of those ways today shall we sisters?!

Yes I know we probably think we know them well but that actually could be a danger as we may not look deep into them and test ourselves. So I'm just encouraging us all to take a look at what applies in our lives and see how we're doing!

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:3-5

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Timothy 2:9-15

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

 1 Corinthians 11:3-10

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

1 Peter 3:1-6

Surely we are blessed to have all this specifically for us! And of course there's much more that applies to everyone but we know we were created different to man from the beginning and yes there may be some differences even because of the woman first being deceived as the scripture above suggests. But let us truly submit ourselves to our Creator and Lord and Master! His ways truly are good.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Indeed we needed new life in Him as we were dead in trespasses and sins! How great a love He showed in dying before we were saints...while we were still sinners. This surely is why it is not of our works we are saved, we desperately needed a Saviour, but indeed the good works follow our belief and we are to be zealous and fruitful in them!

I was pondering how the scriptures mention a few times about faith unfeigned as well as love unfeigned and how we are to have them of course! It implies that there is feigned faith and love and we certainly do not want those as they are vain and lead to destruction. But it's good to also be aware of it in the world around us as words can be deceiving.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1 Timothy 1:5
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 Peter 1:22

I was also pondering how we live in a rich culture many of us so naturally we may also have more compared to others especially in poorer countries. So I was thinking how we don't want to even subconsciously be trusting in the things around us as we are not to do that. Thankful for food and raiment and for any extras. Blessings from the Lord which He can take away too.

He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
Proverbs 11:28

Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
Psalm 62:10

And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
1 Timothy 6:17

May we be trusting in our great God who gives us every good and perfect gift and may we be faithful stewards of everything He has given us including our time.

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Colossians 4:5

Keep striving in the truth my sisters! Our redemption draws nearer!

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Today's Edification (28 December 2024)

Greetings sisters!

It is one more day to live for Him who gave us life! He is the creator and also the one who gives us life spiritually and the hope of eternal life to come! There's so much darkness in the world and also those who love death and evil things. But we sisters love light and life and all good things! The Lord is the source of all good! Let us cleave unto Him sisters.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

This is a good account to show us what the Lord thinks of those who persist to seek Him and His help...

Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Matthew 15:21-28

That is indeed great faith as she didn't get offended or give up easily!

Reminds me of this one too...

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Luke 18:1-8

May we pray and not faint in doing so!

Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

I heard that parable again the other day which compares the debt we have been forgiven by God to any 'debt' others may have to us which is things done wrong. It's just good to have them in the right perspective as I think we can let what people may do wrong to us get way out of proportion when really we ourselves have had our massive unpayable debt wiped away as we remain in Christ. This should be our focus right sisters! Yes what people do to us may hurt but really we need to let it go as soon as possible lest it turn into self pity and even a form of unforgiveness which is a serious thing as we won't be forgiven. All the people in the world are just fellow humans to each other on the same level and all have sinned and wronged God and others. We are to show mercy and have our speech be gracious and of course we are to love others even our enemies. Never does this excuse wrong but I think it just leaves people in the Lord's hands as we believe truly by faith that He sees all and will avenge justly if the offenders don't repent which is what we would long for. Plus we do not want to be hypocrites in any way do we sisters and if we know ourselves humbly and honestly, we are capable of failing. So let us obey the Lord's high and holy ways in all things! His Word is so rich with precious truths to walk in which are not man's ways or pleasing to the flesh but are His pure ways which are good once you crucify the flesh and they are so freeing!

This shows the seriousness of things...

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?

And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Matthew 18:32-35

And it must be from the heart and not just the lips.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
1 John 3:18-19

I find there is always so much depth to His Word and ways to ponder and learn and grow in, in so many areas! May we keep having willing hearts to listen to the truth and the courage and strength to walk in it!

I hope my sisters are doing well in the faith wherever you are on this huge earth! I'm still going about my days here of garden work and sewing and other Titus 2 works. That's what we do though...be content and thankful going about our duties, minding our own business, living quiet and peaceable lives, zealous of good works and such things! I know the Lord has His people where He has them and we can pray that we all strive on faithful to the end. We have so much to encourage us from His Word! Keep going in all good things my sisters. Love to you in the faith.

Today's Edification (27 December 2024)

Hello sisters!

Here I am again...in His name. I really hope you're strong in the faith today and pressing forwards in truth and righteousness. I'm thankful to be labouring for that which is eternal one more day even if it is physical work as well as spiritual like coming here to edify you! We know we worship Him today in spirit and in truth! We don't need physical things and places nor do we worship Him in false ways and traditions of men which are not the truth. But we strive to learn His ways of truth revealed to us by the Spirit through His written Word. It is the faith once delivered. It's not going to change with the world changing. We change to conform to it not the other way around! We do not and must not make it 'relevant' or more acceptable to our culture.

As Jesus said...

And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
Luke 20:17-18

We must be broken, and hate and lose our own life to find it in Him. He makes us new amen sisters!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

I came across this account and it's an interesting one to ponder...

Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.

If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.

They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?

And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?

Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

John 9:32-41

It can be interesting seeing how there's nothing new about the hearts of man being wicked. You just also need to think about how things were before the flood. Man has a wicked heart if it hasn't been changed by the gospel and still we all need to fight the flesh and endure to the end to be saved!

I heard this today when I was travelling and listening to scriptures....

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

Matthew 15:18-20

Truly, sin defiles those who commit it. Let us depart from all iniquity and keep that process going and watch our steps so we catch ourselves before we sin if it came to that. We want to be holy and not defiled don't we sisters.

I was pondering how there's two extremes we may see where people make the way narrower than Jesus did or they make it too easy and think all who just believe will be saved. And to be sure most make it too easy but there are those as there was in Jesus day who seem to also do so like this...

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Matthew 23:13

But we know they both lead to no good and we must not take away from the Word nor add to it.

This is interesting how these people had made up things like this...

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Matthew 23:16

And made innocent people 'guilty' by imposing their man made rule. Matthew 23 is a great chapter to read about the real problem of what was going on in those days when Jesus walked the earth. We know He said their worship was in vain for all this.

We do need to be careful to examine ourselves too as this scripture points out...

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

Romans 2:21-22

And it reminds me of Jesus telling the woman's accusers to cast the first stone if they were without sin...and they got convicted too.

But there surely is a place for saints to help each other in humility and mercy.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Galatians 6:1

And we can and should and must call sin sin but we certainly do not want to be hypocrites in any way. The Lord help us not to be.

Another common error of our day is turning the grace of God into lasciviousness...

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:4

And who think they can sin so grace may abound...

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2

Either of the cases are sad and will lead to no good. But there are thousands of different beliefs people have as they turn away their ears from sound doctrines unto lies, hearing what they want to hear. We hope all repent and come to the pure knowledge of the truth in Jesus and His gospel that saves. Let's keep searching the scriptures sisters and holding fast to that which is good and true!

This is a good scripture as Paul shows there are sins not to be once named among the saints.

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Ephesians 5:1-7

We just must read and obey the Word and not listen to what man says.

I hope you're doing your duties, sisters, with contentment and peace and joy! God sees us so let us live for Him wherever He has called us! Farewell until tomorrow Lord willing. Love and peace.
