Today's Edification (20 March 2024)

Greetings sisters who love the Lord and each other!

Rejoice in God's mercy on this day! He is good sisters. He is our only hope we can cling to! We are blessed in Him.

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.

2 Samuel 24:14

Let us remember the potential costs of the faith life...

But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

Acts 4:17,21,29

And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

Acts 9:1

But let us remember Christ our perfect example!

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1 Peter 2:23

Let us rather take wrong and allow ourselves to be defrauded as our Saviour did...

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?

Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

1 Corinthians 6:6-8

We put down the flesh and walk in the Spirit of Christ to do better for His glory.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

Psalm 109:28-29

One day we can be set free from this life but let us rest in Him today.

There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest.

Job 3:17

Let us be bold and brave and stand firmly in Christ! Let us encourage and not discourage those who want to serve Him in spirit and truth! Let us build up (edify) and not tear down.

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2 Peter 2:9

Matthew 24 reading here...

We have been warned sisters. Let us be on guard to not be deceived. Satan can be so crafty and the heart of man so wicked.

There are so many actions that people do in Christ's name that are plain shameful. So sad but we know the real true Saviour stands no matter what people do all over the world falsely in His name. It is wickedness. But Christ is glorious and pure and holy!

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

2 Timothy 2:11-13

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Exodus 3:14

I love that! He always has been, is, and always will be! And He sees all, sisters. Nothing is done in secret from His eyes. He will judge.

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
James 5:9

My fabric for headcoverings came in so now I can be busy washing and drying and cutting and sewing and adding to my store in the days ahead. If the Lord wills! Well I made a good start today.

Thankful for good works to keep occupied in.

I got more gospel cards ordered so I'm thankful for that too! Look forward to getting them and the Word going out even more!

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Ephesians 6:15

Would share simple lunch...

Passionfruits...

So pretty creations He made to eat!

Very yummy and good! (I would share.)

The reality of life sometimes...

(Rats have been busy.). But it reminds me how corruptible this world and the things of it are. Let us labour for that which perisheth not!

Sisters, let us wait on God. He knows every single detail about us, what we did and said and our motives, and man does not. Man may think he knows everything and may talk about us and in doing so can say some very twisted incorrect statements about us which look so foolish to us but God knows ALL. Let us commit our lives into the Lord's hands. Sometimes we just need to let things go...situations that are too big for us to handle.

Just to clear up if someone is wondering...I was blessed to get to go be with saints in Canada last year. It was a great blessing of learning and growing in the Lord. I was amazed at how smooth the transition was to living with other people I had never met before! Praise God. When you know people serve the same God as you and have the same goal of seeking first God's kingdom and righteousness then you just get along and know where the others heart and motives are. The sister and I lived daily life peacefully together of Titus 2 works and I did a lot of sewing and such. I watched the children some days so the sister could take driving lessons to get her license. We went for walks with the children and the sister was zealous to hand out gospel cards and was a good example to me in that. I learned I sure could grow in my boldness in this and I strived to do better. That was one thing I got some training in. If the Lord had granted me more time there I would have grown even more in learning from a sister! I got to do a little street gospel ministry with them too of flying signs and handing out gospel cards. I loved that super much! You saw swarms of lost people in the eyes and you loved them but unless they want it you can't do anything for them. One time there was a drunk (or drugged) man who was pushing a bicycle and he threw it violently down in front of us (if my memory serves). I watched him stagger off almost walking out into the traffic several times trying to cross the road but it made me sad for such people. Christ can set them free.

And I was greatly blessed to have a sister to talk to in the same spiritual language about the things of God, which was a new opportunity for me! Obviously with so few saints around it was a lot of talking for me but I was still quiet at times and thankfully it was brought to me that I could improve in this to better edify and love a sister in the Lord. I love to grow and learn to do better to the best of my ability although I won't be the hugest talker on earth ever I don't think:-) Well you never do know though as God sure has ways of changing us to be who He wants us to be. I think persecution makes you bolder...just from what I know. I sincerely do love my sisters and want to show it in all the actions that it is as love is not saying the words 'love you' alone of course but sacrificing and giving much. We sisters never argued or anything like that at all (except a little once when I didn't take correction right) but as always when you do something new like living together there are little issues to work through to make it be even better and most God glorifying and this is completely normal.

And there was some other things that came to light we could have communicated much better on and I could have done differently but for me I never felt it was anything other than a great blessing to have had the opportunity to grow and perfect that which was lacking in my faith. The family also said they needed to work on some areas so praise God for those willing to learn and grow! We both grew and still are!

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

1 Thessalonians 3:10

Some things can only be 'perfected' face to face.

As I already shared before, I didn't like being corrected by sisters in these areas I mentioned above at first and made many lame excuses (putting blame on others) which I should never have done.  I did repent in great sorrow and apologize sincerely for this as I handled the situation so foolishly (and I still feel so bad about it to this day). As I learned, when brought correction I need to take it quietly, and meekly, and ponder it to see if it is something I needed to address in me. I rejoice that Christ has forgiven my error and when you learn the hard way it's likely you won't repeat the same thing again. I am thankful for those who forgive me for this error and do not hold it against me still. How we all need mercy.

As the Lord had it, I needed to return to Australia. We learned it is very hard for a citizen of another country to stay very long in that country. Of course we believe in being honest and legal. God teaches us to be unless the government goes against Him clearly. And then after we found that out that I likely couldn't stay longer than six months, the family was giving up their rental apartment to live in a van for the Lord...so I returned to my own country earlier, to serving and ministry here!

Here is a screenshot of this being stated to me (after I shared something that could have been taken the wrong way on my blog here which I immediately remedied)...

I am just clarifying all this as there is someone 'seemingly' lying online about me or at the very least speaking a whole lot about what they do not know as if it is fact when it is not. God knows the truth and I really don't care what man says. I have no fear of these people who seem to be lying or speaking of what they do not know. All will be revealed on judgement day and I have nothing to hide.

And I also praise God that the family I was staying with have sincerely apologized to me for not handling my correction biblically although they were following counsel from someone else (who we all considered wiser at the time, but they were not there and we believe differently now...we obey the Word not any man). I readily forgave them, and they and I are striving on in the Lord today and we are growing closer in the Lord than before even because of what we went through and learned together and what we are going through now of people lying about us both. That's the thing, we all know we are fallen humans and make mistakes which is why we need to be so merciful to each other and humble and help each other grow with willing hearts.

The sister sent this today...

We are blessed to be able to encourage each other to grow in the callings we have and bear each other's burdens and the trials of those who speak against us. We rest, no matter how painful it is, knowing the Lord knows all and will set everything straight one day. We do not return evil for evil.

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 14:22

The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psalm 118:6

Amen!

Be comforted sisters that our faithful high priest Jesus Christ Himself became one of us.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Luke 18:3-8

Remember godly Joseph, sisters? A wicked woman lied about him and said he committed a wicked deed. Her husband believed her and had him thrown into prison.

And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled.

And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.

But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

Genesis 39:19-21

But what happened? God turned it to good after a long time of waiting. That can happen to us too, sisters! Wait on God...He can turn 'bad' to good for us whether that's on this earth or on judgement day. Let us trust in Him. I wanted to read some scriptures on trust to encourage us in that!

And I love this too!

And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

Genesis 50:19-20

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Hold fast sisters and rejoice in the Lord who is very good and trustworthy! Let us strive to walk worthy of Him too!

Peace & joy to you in Christ,

Be It Unto Me According to Thy Word

Greetings sisters!

How are you going today? I hope you are being faithful strangers and pilgrims on this earth, running this race with patience, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith! We know this life is not a sit-back-and-do-nothing life. We have to act don't we! And for the love of the Lord and all He has done for us that is a joyous thing even if it can be hard.

So today I wanted to share some more on the trust we are to have in the Lord and His will. I was thinking about Mary and how she submitted to what the angel told her would happen to her. And we know that was a big thing...Christ coming into the world to die for us.

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Luke 1:38

And I thought of how that is a godly attitude for any other godly woman and it could also go along with 1 Peter 3 about the holy women of old trusting in God and being in subjection to their husbands.

For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

1 Peter 3:5-6

So we see submission to God first and also submission to male authority here. We know that is part of a godly woman's life being in obedience to the order God has established from creation. And that trust is putting down our own desires, our fear, our life even and going where God leads or obeying Him in and through all things. As we certainly know God has put men in positions of authority and the married woman submits to her husband even if she doesn't agree (except in sin of course).

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 11:3

And in both cases, trusting in God and submitting to authority women can all learn to do so willingly and joyously trusting that God is greater than all circumstances.

I read you a scripture to go along with what I shared about Mary; Luke 1:26-55. I guess it's some more of the context to what she said and it is interesting to see and be encouraged by the examples of other godly women.

What an unusual thing was told her...yet she trusted and submitted to God's will. Praise God for sending His beloved Son into this world!

And we see in this scripture the truth of a woman trusting in the Lord for her very daily needs.

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

1 Timothy 5:5-6

Being submitted to God and what He has for our lives is something we surely grow in and have to adjust our focus in sometimes. Obviously the more we experience, the deeper it can become and even if we don't experience major trials we can be preparing our minds and trusting Him daily in all things.

I also thought of Esther going in unto the king risking her very life for her people.

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Esther 4:16

God is greater than all things. And we certainly know not to hold onto our own lives but be ready to lose them for Christ daily. A lot of these things are interrelated as it also has to do with not fearing and our faith in God and resting in Christ for our salvation to come! This world no longer holds us and we are seeking the world to come and storing up treasures there.

I like the attitude here of just submitting to God's will...

Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

Acts 21:13-14

We can be submitted to God if we are persecuted for righteousness sake too. We have been told to expect this and we can trust our souls to Him!

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 4:19

Ultimately we know that all that goes on in our lives is for good...for us who love the Lord if we are walking in His ways.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

So sisters maybe some of that was encouraging to you. I hope it was edifying with the scriptures and I know there's so much to ponder in each of our lives that we can't get to everything! Let us sisters be holy women trusting in our God no matter what goes on around us.

I think I know some of you sisters like this scripture too...

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.

Psalm 112:7

Amen sisters...let that be us, stedfast. It shows deep trust and inner peace. Reminds me actually of what it says in 1 Peter 3 about not being afraid of any amazement. Reminds me also of how we are to be sober-minded. Which reminds me that we need to be vigilant on guard for the adversary too. So many things to think about! What a great God we serve! Glory to Him!

OK sisters I need to go. Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow with something else to share. I know God has His faithful saints out there shining light into a dark world. That is encouraging because it is very dark. True faith is rare and unbelief and compromise abounds. Hold fast to the faith once delivered sisters! We don't know what may lie in the days or weeks or years ahead if the Lord has those for us. But we do know God will still be God and we can trust in our Saviour for forgiveness and find salvation. But we have this moment to make sure we are watching and ready, prepared, trusting in the Lord going about our duties as godly women.

The will of the Lord be done!

Love in Christ

Supply All Our Need

Greetings sisters!

How are you today? I know that there are many different things we face in this life that we must get through, but we know in Christ we can overcome all things. We can't on our own but with Him all things are possible. Let us all strive on hard looking to Him.

Today I thought of God supplying us with all things that we truly need.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:19

He supplied a Saviour. How we needed one!

"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:"

2 Timothy 1:9-10

"Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"

Colossians 1:13-14

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"

Romans 8:32

We are supplied with food and raiment which we are to be content with.

"And having food and raiment let us be therewith content."

1 Timothy 6:8

But above and beyond that we have much much more. We are very blessed to have so many different things in our lives to use or to make life easier or make better use of our time. May we be so grateful for these, but not set our hearts on anything but know that these are extra blessings and we may not have them one day.

"The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment."

Luke 12:23

Our spiritual food has been supplied..

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

I am that bread of life.

Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.

This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

John 6:47-51

"And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."

Deuteronomy 8:3

Life is so short on this earth indeed and we know our souls shall live on forever. May we sisters, even though we need to be about looking after physical needs as helpers and servants, focus on the spiritual. It is easy to get caught up in things down here if we let ourselves be. But that would be like the 5 foolish virgins who were not prepared for the bridegroom to come. May we be like the wise who were prepared.

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh."

Matthew 25:13

I see it clearly the difference in what I once used to do and place more value on compared to now where I am focusing on eternal things, laying up treasure in heaven. And also to know we are in a spiritual battle, each of us, to overcome sin and the flesh and the enemy, a battle for souls. And so how foolish it was, I see what I once accepted and see how truly worldly it was. When the Lord leads you to His truth and reveals it to you then you see how blind you were even if you claimed to be a believer and follower of Christ.

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier."

2 Timothy 2:3-4

But back to what I was writing about how God supplies all our needs and more!

He is preparing a place for us for eternity...

"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

John 14:1-4

"Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:"

Matthew 25:34

There are so many blessings we can have if we are truly His and obediently following Him. I'm sure you can all think of very many.

"The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."

Psalm 29:11

Truly everything good is from Him!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

James 1:17

We most certainly have all things that we truly need...

"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

2 Peter 1:3-4

Let us praise Him for all we have, and for what great hope is available for all, for it is very, very great indeed!

Thank you sister for making and sharing these pictures with me...

I hope this post has blessed you to think of our needs being met both physical and spiritual. Truly we don't deserve all what we have. We deserve death and destruction for our sins against a holy God. Instead God sent His Son so we can come back to Him through His Son. May we humbly serve and obey Him for His grace and mercy on us. We are not worthy but may we strive to walk worthy of His Name and righteously and do what is well pleasing in His sight.

Lord willing I shall be back here tomorrow sisters. Let us see what the next day brings!

"For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

2 Corinthians 5:1

Love and blessings,

Resting in God and Christ

Good day and greetings sisters!

I have a simple post with some simple thoughts to ponder.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30

We can rest in Him in many ways. Most of all for our salvation. He will keep His covenant and will deliver us if we endure faithfully until the end. He is faithful! Let us trust Him!

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."

Hebrews 4:9-11

And we can trust the future to the Lord and strive not to worry about things that happen in our lives.

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."

Psalm 37:5-7

It's our faith in Him and believing that He is all that He said He was and has promised to those that love Him.

A sister and I were sharing messages and she mentioned that...oh wait, let me share her words here to edify us all as I'm sure she won't mind at all:-) "One thing I learn as I grow in Christ is that when the storms come, no matter how hard they are, don't always look past or long for the otherside because there is much to be learned within them." Amen. I thought that was a good thing for us all to remember. Yes our flesh does not want to be there in the trials but if we look for good things to learn from them then we will grow stronger.

And when the Lord corrects us...

"And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth."

Hebrews 12:5-6

"Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:"

Job 5:17

And I borrowed this picture from the sister and added a scripture. I'm sure she will smile to see it here:-)

And praise God for holiness!

"Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness."

Psalm 97:12

And praise Him that we can come to the Father through His Son!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 14:6

Yet we must each come His way and not with our own made up ways. You can see the good news of eternal life here and examine your life deeply to see if you are in His truth.

"He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mark 7:6-9

"God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

John 4:24

Amen. Let us sisters follow His Word and seek His truth and not be deceived by all the lies around.

Hold fast to the Word sisters, rest and trust in the Lord, and soon we shall all be with the Father if we endure through all this life.

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake."

Psalm 23:2-3

Love to you,

...from a daughter of the Lord

His Grace Is Sufficient

Good day sisters in Christ!

Wherever you are on the planet, I hope you are growing in the Lord and standing strong in His strength.

I love pondering 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. It is the Lord's answer to Paul regarding his physical infirmities.

Amen and may we sisters do the same!

To get the context that follows on from this...

"For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me."

2 Corinthians 12:6-8

But the Lord's grace is sufficient!

His strength is made perfect in our weakness. (What a lie there is around that says that God heals everyone of everything. It's so sad the destruction those deceivers cause.)

Some of us have more physical weaknesses than others and some have greater times of trials...but we all must trust in the Lord and His strength and not our own. Then His power can be shown in our lives sisters! And Paul said he had pleasure in his trials. May we think on these things and be strengthend by the Lord.

Of course we can have great hope of salvation to come if we endure...so I must share this for us to look forward to.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

Revelation 21:4

In the mean while, let us overcome sin and fight our flesh daily. You can read some great promises in Revelation 2 & 3 for those who overcome. Make sure you are on the right path first. It is a narrow path and few find it but what a bright future there is for those that love and obey God. We must be born by the Spirit and come by the true gospel. See that explained here and test your life as false ways abound in these last evil days.

And I'm on the younger end of life (though death could come any day for any of us of course), but I know I just have to live day by day and trust the future to Him as we all do and He will bring me through if I am faithful. If we walk after the Spirit we will live and we can overcome all things in Christ. Let us hold fast to the truth of the Word and not be swept away by the multitudes around us falling into sin, dwelling in sin and delighting in sin. And we live among this faithless and perverse generation, and we are in the world but not of it. We are to shine as lights in it and not join in the darkness.

As was Jesus' prayer...

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

John 17:15-16

And so we can endure and overcome all things in Him.

Let us trust in the Lord sisters and not fear man.

"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
Hebrews 13:5-6

This butterfly came to visit me in my tent today.

I'm blessed to have a place to relax and sleep for the night after a busy day of keeper at home work and looking after little ones. You are closer to God's creation in a tent for sure. I can see kangaroos from my tent window on some evenings and mornings. I can listen to birds better than in a house with thick walls. I get to listen to owls when I can't sleep. I hear possums and foxes too...and other things I don't always know what they are. And I'm listening to crickets as I type this as the sun has set. Hopefully I won't have mosquito's tonight. But it does also mean I can hear noises of man like traffic and other things which can be so loud...but never mind.

Thankfully the weather has been good for camping and not stormy or windy. Of course it gets really cold at night and hot in the sun but you think of a lot of the world's population that doesn't have a big house or air conditioning or even good heating and enough blankets. Many live in little huts and some in tents too, but they get along.

"And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses."

Exodus 33:7-9

We are to be content with food and raiment as well as not be laying up treasure on this earth. It's a whole mindset really. If you are following the Lord in spirit and truth then He will guide you to know what is most important and what is not.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Matthew 6:19-21

Let us sisters be full of good works and obeying our Lord and Saviour and prepared with the gospel for the lost and deceived. Let us seek first the things of God.

Well I hope you are all striving on in the strength of the Lord. We need His strength and His wisdom for this life we strive to live in Him.

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

Romans 8:35-37

Well sisters...until next time.

"Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen."

Ephesians 6:23-24

Hope Deferred & Everyday Life

"Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life."
(Proverbs 13:12)

The verse comes to mind particularly in this "corona" ordeal we are facing as we try to go about our daily lives as believers. While we might like to ignore what the world does, it is a reality that is staying around. For me, it's being "trapped" interstate away from my earthly home. And often there is hope that things will change...but then again things change and so it isn't to be. This is just minor for sure and I'm not saying it's a large issue for me but there could be many things in our lives where we can't look at the circumstances but trust in the Lord instead. And so that verse from Proverbs came to my mind.

This could obviously happen in many different areas of life where we might "hope" something to happen so I know we women must have a very deep trust of the Lord that HE will work it all out for His purposes.

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
(Romans 8:28)

And know that we are just to be going about our business faithfully even if we don't know what this world is doing. I'm sure that He has us in our spots for a reason.

But if we think Who we are living for and where our lives are to be lived for, takes a whole lot of concern about these earthly things away.

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:"
(Philippians 3:20)

We can rest and trust that if we are obedient to what we ought to do then God can work through situations even if it isn't what we want or hope for.

But we do know that God is faithful and He has given us the hope of eternal life for those who obey Him. That is something we can know that He will keep Himself...

...but we must ENDURE,

one

day

at

a

time!

"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"
(Titus 1:2)

This is our ultimate hope that we have in Christ (if we are born again by the gospel)!

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."
(Revelation 22:1-5)

But back to everyday life for now........

I had to run some shopping errands for the family today which took me to the gardening section of the hardware store. So I share some more of God's handiwork in flowers. Perhaps you will appreciate them sister/s! I seem to have run out of flowers to photograph where I stay...so next best will do:-)

And then I did some grocery shopping. Yeah, it's just everyday things, but being out about in the world you never know what could happen as we go about our keeper at home and serving jobs and we should be ready to give an answer and certainly being biblically dressed will set us apart for our God. Coming into the warmer months here, you can't help but know that you will stand out amongst the shameful undress of our day. But our God is holy!

And some more cheery flowers.

I was given this ice cream treat for dessert (from the family I stay with). It was really good for the end of a hot and busy day.

Know what this is?
It's a blessing that I came across and so I thought I'd give it a try on my sore feet and it helped quite a bit. No it doesn't help it all, but it's worth mentioning I thought:-) So if you're on your feet a lot of the day, you can rub some of this on in the evening and your feet will feel refreshed for a new day in the morning. It has taken away some of the more extreme painfulness that I had at times after the long days. I didn't go looking for this but my mother had some and I thought perhaps it might help. Praise God, it does!

And finally setting out for a warm yet peaceful evening walk; surrounded by the sounds of birds, frogs, and insects.

"O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!"
(Psalm 8:9)
