Today's Edification (28 February 2025)

Hello sister saints!

I have had a busy day but am dropping in with some truth that we live by! I'm sure you're keeping occupied in a variety of good things that the Lord has for you. There's a lot of diversity within the roles God has for us as women. We all have different lives but we must seek first our Lord and His will and obedience to His commands for us.

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Ephesians 4:28

The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.

He coveteth greedily all the day long: but the righteous giveth and spareth not.

Proverbs 21:25-26

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:23

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.
Acts 9:36

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:4-5

Just sharing a few scripture to encourage us all to keep being diligent and faithful and hardworking in whatever the Lord has for us at this time of life! Hold fast to Christ sisters! Love and mercy to you all in the faith.

Today's Edification (27 February 2025)

Hello sisters!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:3-7

Blessed be His glorious name for ever and ever! He has done all things well and may His will continue to be done. I hope you're all striving on in Him. I'm thankful to be back edifying my sisters who love the truth and obey it.

There's always something to share from His Word and so I share a few things that come to mind.

I heard this the other day and it stood out to me how we are to be pitiful and compassionate to our siblings in the Lord.

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
1 Peter 3:8

Our Savior was moved with compassion so a good example He is also...

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Matthew 9:36

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
Matthew 14:14

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.
Mark 1:41

And of course He died for us which is the greatest love one shows for others.

I was listening to Revelation yesterday and in the middle of some severe judgements under God's wrath was this scripture...

And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

Revelation 16:5-7

And it just sets you straight if you're feeling how severe the judgements are. Some people don't like thinking about or talking about how severe God's wrath is. I don't think that is wise or truthful as we must believe the truth and know the truth. But then you remember how wicked the heart of man is without Christ and for one example that it can be common place in our cultures to murder the innocent in the unborn. That's just one example and God's wrath is so great that is being stored up for all these sins. Not to mention religious sins like those who trample our Saviour's blood and go on living in sin and despising Him in many ways while taking His name. Surely it is also taking His name in vain if it doesn't lead us to a holy life. So let us not forget how serious sin against such a holy God as ours is. But praise God there is mercy and a refuge available in Christ!

And we remember it is God's job to take revenge and we do not do any kind of harm or evil to people who do evil to us. We are to do the opposite in fact!

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 12:17-21

We know God is longsuffering but we know that doesn't mean He approves of sin at all. His wrath coming is exceeding great. Let us wisely fear Him today so we may be found of Him in peace on that great Lord's day.

I was thinking how today we still must choose whom we will serve.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

As it says in Acts that the saints were encouraged to cleave to the Lord with purpose of heart. It takes choice and our will. But so many want Christ and the world and it cannot work that way. They want an idle life of pleasure and the Lord and it won't work well for them.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Let us keep cleaving to the Lord and choosing His ways sisters! Keep walking in the truth and light and growing in the knowledge of God! Mercy and peace to you.

Today's Edification (26 February 2025)

Greetings sisters!

Hope you are all doing well in the Lord and seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness!

I've had a busy day and then travels so am leaving you some simple edifying from the Word! There's always so many things to bring to remembrance as His Word is a great treasure to us!

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
Psalm 119:162
O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119:97

We are so blessed to have access to His written word in our language! Let us value it as what it is and we will be held responsible for how we acted towards it no doubt. I think of all the shelves of the world filled with multitudes of words to distract people from the real Word. There's just so many things that are distractions from the truth. We lay aside all things that are not edifying and good and that are dangers to our souls and not pleasing to Him.

Let us drink from the sincere Word!

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
1 Peter 2:2-3

On this we will grow but we will not if we drink at the empty and evil 'milk' of the world.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Luke 4:4

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

1 Peter 1:17-23

There's so much packed into that short passage! And so much we need to know in order to find eternal life! It speaks about Christ's work in His death and resurrection, and our faith, and also our works and actions as we pass the time of our sojourning here in fear preparing to be judged. It speaks of being born again by the word of God and obedience and love of the brethren and so much more! You could spend a lot of time meditating on it that's for sure. I'm thankful for His truth and how we can find eternal life through His Son! Let us hear Him!

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 2:12

So may we keep walking after the truth, watching and with a sober mind. We have great joy and hope in Him! My love be with you. Hold fast!

Today's Edification (25 February 2025)

Hello sisters in Christ!

I'm hoping you're all doing well in the faith today! I am keeping busy here in Titus 2 helping works and things. I'm sure each of you are also doing what the Lord has given you and being faithful in it!

I was pondering how Jesus obeyed His Father and pleased Him in all things. While we know He was God He was also man and so what a perfect example for us to follow!

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

Matthew 12:17-21

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
John 15:10

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

John 8:54-55

I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

John 17:23-24

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
Matthew 17:5

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 5:30

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:29

Indeed let us hear whom our Father has sent to us. How blessed we are in our Savior! Let us honour Him and bear much fruit by abiding in Him.

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Acts 11:23

Let us do so as well! Keep enduring in the faith sisters! Love, peace and, mercy in His name.

Today's Edification (24 February 2025)

Greetings sisters in the Lord!

Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
Philippians 4:21

I hope you're continuing in the faith and walking in the truth and light of His Word! I am here again to share a little edifying for the day!

Here's some scriptures on edifying itself!

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Romans 14:19

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearer.
Ephesians 4:29

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
1 Corinthians 14:12

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:16

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1 Timothy 1:4

God's word is our source of edifying isn't it! So sharing His Word and talking about it is the best edifying! There's so much in this world that isn't edifying. It's foolish, vain, and sinful. But we are blessed with His precious Word to feed on! We do not live by bread alone but by every word of God! And yes not only are Jesus' words important but we know Paul and Peter, and James and John were giving us the Lord's words and truth also! We know things changed when Jesus shed His blood for us as He told us of the new covenant in His blood.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28

And this is our only hope! It indeed is a living hope as we cannot save ourselves from our sins which were leading to our death when we lived in them.

I had travel to the children's again and so that means more hours to listen to scripture. Sometimes it's like even though you've just recently read or heard the same scriptures you may be thinking about a different subject so different things stand out to you. So it never grows old His Word!

Indeed the good shepherd gave His life for His sheep. We know there is no greater love than someone to lay down their life for others.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:10-11,15

We know Jesus is the love God showed for the world. His death, when He laid down His life in His own power, is the great love. What a great gift!

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16

How thankful we ought to be for this! It was a horrible excruciating ordeal He went through and could really easily have gotten out of but He laid aside His will to do His Father's. So may we follow and obey our wonderful good Shepherd!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:31-32

May we walk worth of our calling...

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:1-3

So strive on stedfastly sisters! Keep running the race with patience looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who has gone before us! Love to you in His name.

Hello sisters!

Yes I am back again as God gave me the ability to be! Hopefully if you're here also it means you are striving on and seeking the truth still! Let us hold on to the precious truth the Lord has shown us sisters and may we keep growing and testing all things to the scriptures.

I hope all your duties as godly women are going well also! All our lives are different but we know the will of God that He gave to us His daughters. So keep doing well in those every day duties that need to happen for life to go smoothly! Nature may even teach us some things in this as every day His creatures and creations are doing what He told them to! No rebellion there!

I just read this scripture and it's an important statement by John...

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John 1:29-30

It is important to realize how much we need a lamb...a perfect one. And we sure are blessed to now have that in Christ as the ones sacrificed in the old were limited and for a time. How precious that God gave Himself for us...to take away our sins!

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:11-16

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 5:7

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Revelation 5:12

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 7:14

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 7:17

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Revelation 19:7

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Revelation 21:9

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Revelation 21:23

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 21:27

Those are precious truths and promises and indeed if we are faithful we will be with the Lamb one day! Let us strive to be found worthy to enter the gates of the city.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:14-17

Keep patiently enduring in the faith my sisters! We shall reap great rewards if we faint not! Let us continue in the good works the Lord has given each of us and do them unto Him in peace and joy. My love be with you all in Christ. Hold fast.

Greetings sister saints!

Here is another day to serve the Lord and be thankful for all our blessings in Him! He is good and has been so merciful to us! It is pleasing to Him when we are thankful, content, and satisfied in Him! He is our portion and all we need! His grace is sufficient for us!

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
Psalm 79:13

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
Psalm 97:12

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psalm 100:4

So I hope you're all being thankful in the Lord! We are truly rich in Him. And let us keep going in all our duties the Lord has for us as women and doing them with joy and peace in our hearts. Don't grow weary sisters!

I'm sharing some more precious truths of Christ...

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

1 Peter 1:18-23

I'm thankful for the good news that we Gentiles can come into reconciliation with God and into one body through Christ's death!

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Ephesians 2:12-18

Surely this is the beginning of the gospel message to the world! It is good news of hope indeed! And then our actions of holiness and obedience follow our faith in our mighty Saviour!

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:14-16

There's so many things that you can read in the Word that you can kind of skim over inadvertently and not think of the depths of things. That's interesting to ponder that account in the old testament of the brass serpent that people could look at and be healed!

And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

Numbers 21:8-9

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.
John 12:32-33

Indeed we too can only have life through our Saviour lifted up in death.

This account is amazing too...

And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

Luke 9:28-31

Interesting that they were talking about Christ's death. We know He fulfilled so much in that.

And the fact that Jesus walked on water is another account to make us marvel too. Not that anything is impossible with God of course but we know Peter by faith also did so! I just heard that account the other day and it made me rejoice.

And there's so many wonderful accounts where peoples lives were changed physically and spiritually too. And you can ponder a lot on them. As John said he supposed the world couldn't contain the books that could be written about Jesus and all He did! Glory to God for such a wonderful Saviour!

So let us follow and obey Him, abiding in His love and keeping His Word!

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:8-10

So strive on sisters! Our redemption draws nearer! Be of good courage as He has overcome the world! We shall overcome in Him too!

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelation 12:11

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:3-5

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:37

Hold fast in the truth sisters. Love to you in His name. Mercy and peace.

Today's Edification (21 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping back again with some edifying for your day. Just a little bit today as my day was busy and long but I'm sure you know how things can be and it's all good duties to occupy in but I'm thankful to drop in here a bit too! I hope you are striving on and standing for all truth wherever you are.

I had travels back from the children's as well and I got to listen to scripture.

This stood out to me how saints were helping one another.

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
2 Corinthians 8:14-15

It reminds me how life changes and sometimes someone may have more and sometimes less and vice versa and how they were to help those in need. And the reason saints labour is not only for their own needs but also to have to give to those in need. And we know food and raiment are the most important physical items we all need! And yet most of us have more but as you go through the world you can't help but get tired of what they're rushing after and the efforts and burdens of having a huge amount of possessions. Just seeing it all makes me feel tired as you have to look after it all and then you fear something might happen to it etc.

The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.

As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.

And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

Ecclesiastes 5:12-16

So let us seek first God's kingdom and righteousness and all we need will be added unto us and indeed it has been for now and we trust the Lord for the future. May our treasures be above, incorruptible ones!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:3-4

So hold fast sisters and keep pressing forwards on the narrow road! We have a lively hope in our Saviour! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (20 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I hope you're pressing on the narrow way after our Lord, today!

I'm sharing some scriptures on understanding today. I shared yesterday how Jesus made sure His disciples understood what He was teaching and so it is important we understand the truth also the best we can with His help.

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
Matthew 13:23

And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
Mark 7:14-15

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
Luke 24:45

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
Psalm 111:10

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Psalm 119:104

I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
Psalm 119:125

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:3-6

There's so many more scriptures on it but we know the Lord is the source of true wisdom and knowledge!

I came across this scripture today too and we know it is talking about our Saviour. Indeed He was a man of sorrows.

Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Psalm 69:20-21

And yet many today have made Him into a partying 'friend of sinners' which is such a lie. Let us follow the true holy Saviour.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 7:25-26

This life is serious. And while we have much to rejoice in in the Lord we also must be sober minded and there is so much at stake it is nothing to take lightly. May we have His peace and joy in our hearts as we go through this life and take whatever comes! Keep pressing on in the truth and your good works where you are sisters! Love to you in His name.

Today's Edification (19 February 2025)

Greetings sister saints!

I am dropping back in again with a little edifying. I have had a busy day helping at the children's so may need to be brief but there's always something to share from His Word and it's important too! I hope you're all ok and striving to walk in all truth.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

I got to listen to a lot of scripture on my travels yesterday and one thing that stood out was Jesus making sure His disciples understood what He was teaching.

Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
Matthew 13:51

While it would be wonderful if we could ask Him directly of all the questions we have, let us just do our best and also beware of coming to our own conclusions or adding or taking away from His Word even inadvertently. The Lord have mercy on us if we're truly willing and open to all truth.

We can't do what Mary was doing...

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
Luke 10:39

But let us search the scriptures daily and try to do so not through any mindset that we have which the Lord can help us get rid of.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Acts 17:11

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

We are so blessed to have His written Word! And yes we have to deal with a translation but let us seek and He will reveal all we need to know! And the rest let us just trust He knows all!

So hold fast to Christ and to sound doctrine sisters! Lord willing I will drop in here again to edify you tomorrow! Fervent love to my sisters who love and obey the Lord our great God.

We love him, because he first loved us...And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
1 John 4:19,21

Today's Edification (18 February 2025)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are pressing on for the kingdom today! We want to walk worthy of such a great God as ours. We are children of light not of darkness.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Ephesians 5:7-11

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6

Those are great encouraging scriptures of how things are and how we are to be!

It is always fascinating seeing all the things that particularly Jesus fulfilled in His life. Truly He is the mystery kept secret from the foundation of the world but now fully revealed!

And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.

But God raised him from the dead:

Acts 13:28-30

We know Jesus' death was no mere plan of man but the perfect plan of God. He laid down His own life in His own power! He died for our sins. For this we can be eternally grateful to Him.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Matthew 26:52-54

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.
Mark 14:49

And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
Mark 15:28

For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.
John 19:36

It's amazing realizing that our Lord fulfilled so much of the Old! It's such a good subject to look into and it really helps you read the Old Testament in a different way as well as you see the Saviour foretold right through and many things pointing towards Him!

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:17-18

Let us follow after our Saviour! He is the way the truth and the life!

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Hebrews 10:19-20
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
Hebrews 7:19

But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Hebrews 8:6-7

But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:37-39

Let us hear Him.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Luke 9:35

For it is serious if we do not heed Him.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 10:26-31

Keep walking in the fear of God sisters. Let us watch and be ready.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
1 Peter 4:7

Love to you in His name. Keep pressing on in all your duties as godly women and do them all with joy as unto the Lord and heartily! May we keep our eyes on Christ our Saviour!
