Find Eternal Life!

Good News to Eternal Life! Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world!

That is my greatest desire for you...that you may find eternal life! God, Creator of the universe, is worthy of all glory and allegiance from us His creations who have gone astray and rebelled against Him grievously. The good news is that God sent His Son to die so that we may find a way to escape His wrath to come on those who do not obey the gospel. Repent and obey Him today! Then we can find peace with God and have the hope of being with Him for all eternity in heaven!

(That is the gospel card I made to have to give to others where I can!)

How we may find eternal life (heaven) because of the good news of Jesus Christ may be summed up in these points below. Read God's Word (New Testament) for the whole truth of the gospel explained. There is only one true narrow way! Let us seek and find it!

*Faith in Jesus Christ who was fully God and fully man, the Lamb of God who was slain to take away the sins of the world through His blood. (John 3:16)

*Repent and be converted - acknowledging and changing our mind about our sins and turning away from them and striving hard with the Lord's help to stop them. (Acts 3:19, Matthew 18:3)

*We become born from above (born again) which means God gives us His Spirit and we become His children! This is His miraculous work in us to make us new creations! Glory to God! (John 3)

*Obey Jesus in holiness and righteousness, because we love Him, to the end (endurance). This is essential to ever enter the gates of heaven. (Hebrews 12:14, Hebrews 5:9, Matthew 10:22)

Below I include some more detail and scriptures for you from a brother in the Lord. I hope that can help you as you seek the truth. I encourage you to always go read and study the Word for yourself and stay away from all the deceptions of today's so called 'Christianity' that's in the churches or online. Read the New Testament in the Bible to find out everything you need to know about the Lord and how one can find eternal life and glorify the Creator!

"What is the Gospel? Gospel means "good news", it is the message of God the almighty creator to men, the message of salvation, the message of eternal life and promise to those who heed it, and the message of eternal death and destruction, judgement and damnation to those who choose to reject it. Man has a sin-debt, and God is a Holy, Just, and Righteous judge.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death.

Romans 2:5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according as he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

There is coming a day of judgment before a Holy God, as is written

Revelation 20: 11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

BUT PRAISE GOD! He has not left us to eternal damnation and death in hell, which is what we have deserved with our sins and disobedience, but he made the way of salvation for us, he sent his only begotten Son to bear our sins, to hang on a tree and become a curse for us that we might be made free from the curse through him. He was betrayed, mocked, beaten, scourged, and crucified for our sins, that through him we might have forgiveness of sins and be reconciled to God.

Isaiah 53:4-6 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God,and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God, this is how we come to him, and find eternal life, and escape the wrath to come.

1. Faith, as it is written

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. We must believe in the name of Jesus Christ, as is written

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Faith in HIS shed blood and resurrection, as is written,

Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Romans 5:6,8 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly....But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

We must have true faith, moral conviction, and place our faith and trust in the finished work of Christ, in his perfect sacrifice for our sins, and seek to follow/obey him as Lord and Saviour. Saving faith is not an empty head knowledge, but moral conviction and firm persuasion in Jesus Christ, and shows as an allegiance to follow and serve him.

2. Repentance. Repentance means to turn away from your sins. It means to forsake and turn away from your sins and wicked ways and turn to God.

James 4:8-10 Draw nigh to God and he will draw night to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

This is the call throughout scripture.

Matt 3:2,8 Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand...Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.

Mark 1:15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he raised him from the dead.

When we come in faith to Christ, and see that he died for our sins, and that it is for our sin that he hung on the stake (cross), and shed his blood, it grieves us, and we turn away from our sin, and leave it, this is repentance.

3. Be born again. When God sees a willing vessel, when you believe in Jesus Christ, in his shed blood and resurrection, and repent and turn away from your sin and ways and seek God, he will send his Holy Spirit and cleanse you and you will be born again. You must be born again or you are not of God.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and i will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

4. Obedience/ Holiness. As a born again believer, you will obey the Word of God, and keep his ways and commandments. Jesus said

John 14:15,21,23 If ye love me, keep my commandments...He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him...If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

1 John 2:3-4 And hereby do we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Acts 5:32 And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.

5.Endurance. Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure to the end shall be saved.

We must endure in this faith and fruit bearing unto the end, as Jesus taught in John 15:1-6 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall. Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

God be praised."

Here is my personal testimony how the gospel changed my life:

Growing up in a family where I heard about God and Christ all my life, did not make me a Christian and follower of Christ myself. No. My life in Christ began with (and continues in today) a personal belief in Him and faith in the perfect sacrifice, that was His death on the stake (cross). I believed (and continue to believe to this day) that He was God Himself and He had come to die to shed His blood to atone for my sins. I repented of being the sinner I was and called on the Lord for His forgiveness (and we need on going repentance and forgiveness when we fall into sin). It is by the new birth, by being born again by the Spirit that I now have the hope of eternal life. So it is the Lord that called me as the lost sheep I was and I responded to Him by faith and repentance. He gave me new desires and a new heart through which I then want to serve Him fully. The more I was faithful to read His Word and obey Him, then the more I saw He required of me in holiness and the more He showed me. The evidence that God has given me this new heart is that I obey Him in everything I know and keep searching the scriptures daily to obey Him more, walking in the fear of the Lord. Without this evidence I cannot be saved...as faith without works is dead. No works of mine could ever save me...no...but if I have no works on top of my faith, I am not going to enter the kingdom (as it is a dead faith then). I know Jesus said to strive to enter and we know it is a good fight of faith. There may be many sins to beset us which we must fight against with God's armor that He gives His children to put on (Ephesians 6).

Knowing the greatest commandment is to love God, I learned from scripture that keeping all He has commanded is how my love for Him will be shown and proved. I have to remain faithful to God and His Christ every day of my life lest I have believed in vain and be cast away in the end. I know the true life-saving gospel is a daily active process lived in; a covenant between Christ and me. I must abide in Christ's gospel every moment of my life (if I fail and sin I must repent or I will be in danger of destruction). In order to be faithful to my part of the covenant, daily I must have faith in Christ, daily I must repent of sins (of thought or action if needed), daily I must bear fruit of obedience which produces holiness in God's eyes, and therefore I endure faithful until the day I die lest I fall away and be lost. (You can also hear my testimony on audio here if you like.)

This is where I am today (September 2024). Striving daily to follow Christ in spirit and truth. It's not worth losing eternal life (and being under God's wrath to be cast into hellfire) in order to cling to anything in this short life...so I forsook it all to follow Christ lest I perish. I have experienced the reality that the Lord will bless me if I forsake all the foolish, carnal, and fleshly things of this life as I have now done for His sake. He will continue to grow me...as I am willing! It is a joy to follow His good and perfect ways!

I love you and want the best for you too; eternal life with Christ in heaven. But following Him completely surrendered is not always easy. There is a great cost...you must be willing to lose everything in this life. I am willing, are you? There is no such thing as an easy road to heaven. The churches today say there is...but there is not.

Seek to find the path to eternal life while you still have time! This is the best news I can ever tell you. Let me know if I can help you:)

Repent and obey the gospel.

Christ's servant,

Chayil
