Today's Encouragement (20 November 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Another day to choose to serve the Lord! I hope all my sisters are striving on and overcoming! 

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:7

Another awesome scripture we are blessed to be able to read. God is good to show us all He did. Let us be faithful with it all. 

I was doing some online ministry today (finding emails to send the gospel to) and a thought came to mind about how foolish and vain and non sober minded many are who claim His name. We sisters, although we are joyful, don't want to cross the lines into being not sober minded. We are to be in control of our behaviour and not saying empty and foolish things of the world and such like. 

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Ephesians 5:1-4

Thank you sisters for this picture... 

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. 

Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.

Deuteronomy 8:2-4

May we sisters, as the trials of life come, and they prove who we are, stand strong in the Lord no matter what. We know the cost of following the Lord is great and could be even greater than we currently know. But He is worthy and we want nothing to move us from following hard after Him! 

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

Psalm 62:6

 

 We don't want to be like these... 

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 

Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. 

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:28-30,33

Let us be preparing to finish this faith race knowing the cost is great but He is worthy and the reward to come is great! 

No matter what goes on in the world or in our lives, let us remember the words of our Lord... 

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

Today's Encouragement (18 November 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

One more day to serve Him! I hope you are doing just that...pressing on no matter what! Outside of Christ, life is hopeless and vain. In Him there is a reason to live and glorify Him in our lives. 

Next scripture reading to encourage... 

Awesome things in there sisters. God is too good to us, His people. Let us strive to overcome! We must be faithful to Him. He is faithful, we can be sure of that. 

I was thinking that sometimes we hear people say that if Jesus didn't teach about something or the Bible doesn't mention something it means it isn't sinful. We know that obviously isn't the case! We need...discernment. Every single sin is not listed but we can use the Spirit and the Word to discern all things as we must. 

When you know something like a power failure is likely to happen at some point, it is wise to be prepared with a backup power source for what you can, like a phone...

But more importantly it is wise to be prepared for what is 100% going to happen...our death or the Lord's return. Either way we know there is existence after this earthly life whether with the Father or sent away into outer darkness. That latter one is horrible to think of so the wisest thing we can do is to be prepared today. 

We want to be like the five wise virgins who were prepared.

What a blessing physical sight is! Something we can take for granted but it's good to remember and be thankful for it! But also most of all, important to be thankful for spiritual sight. How blessed we are to see that the Saviour came to set us free from our sins. To see that the way is narrow and wilful sin leads to death. To see that the Jesus is the only way and truth. To see that we are to be holy and peculiar people zealous of good works. To see our role as godly women and how we are to dress and act to not bring reproach upon His name. How blessed we are to see so many things. May we not take this lightly. Let us keep searching the scriptures to see more things the Lord will show us in them. 

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Matthew 13:16

Keep striving sisters and look forward to that beautiful city I read about in Revelation above and where God makes all things new! Hold fast!

Today's Encouragement (17 November 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

A new day God gave us. We want to be redeeming the time in fruitful works don't we. What a blessing to labour for the One who is worthy! Let us treasure this and not take it lightly. The fact that we are His witnesses is a big responsibility and we don't want to bring reproach on His name by our actions. 

One thing that is important to keep in mind is that everything we have is not our own but the Lord's. We see that in the book of Job and in other scriptures. 

The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

Psalm 24:1

And we ourselves are also the Lord's of course and not our own to do as we please. 

I know this is a well known scripture about how we should be faithful in little...and we should be. 

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Luke 16:10

But we don't want to forget the other part about a little of being unjust means we are unjust in much. We don't want to be that do we sisters. 

Reminds me of this one... 

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Galatians 5:9

Let us strive hard to overcome the flesh, and the Lord will help us!

Some very sobering things in there but also of joy for those who are faithful too! 

I love thinking about working with quietness and eating their own bread. Shows a picture of someone working hard and minding their own business. 

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

2 Thessalonians 3:12

Laziness has no part in a saint's life. 

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

2 Thessalonians 3:10

 

Thank you for the scriptures and pictures sisters... 

Amen let us obey all His commandments without delay. And He will help us with all the discernment for situations we need that come along. 

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:14

Thankful to have His written Word...and sisters who love and obey Him!

Today's Encouragement (16 November 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Hope this finds you thriving in the Lord! We want to keep pressing on and we know we can through Christ which strengthens us! What a God of hope we serve! In Him we can overcome all things unto the end!

May we be worthy for that day, in Christ and by our obedience...

I'm back to working in the garden... 

..which is a blessing to do. It's always nice to work in growing food from the ground! Amazing how that all works. But nothing is too hard for God! 

And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:9

 

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:19

 

Go to the ant thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise... 

I have been very blessed to have this little home provided for me... 

I am thankful for food and raiment and also for shelter and a place to sleep and do ministry and many other blessings! God is good to give us all we have!

Strive on sister soldiers! 

But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

Today's Encouragement (15 November 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Every day is a good day in the Lord amen sisters?! As long as we are holding fast and striving on, not growing weary or going backwards then that is good no matter what else is going on around us!

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

Here's the next scripture reading for you... 

A lot in there to ponder. We serve a mighty God who is going to judge wickedness. We know sudden destruction is coming. 

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 

1 Thessalonians 5:3

Even though we are in this world we are not the world or a partaker of it but a peculiar people separated unto God. 

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 

Revelation 18:4

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:27

Unspotted from the world...even though we have to deal with this world and the people of it we want to remain pure for the Lord. 

For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:2

Thank you sisters for this... 

May the Lord be our everything! Our light, peace, hope, salvation, comfort, help, joy, and so much more. He is a good God. But we must wisely remember His severity also. 

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

Romans 13:12

Keep striving sisters! Let's all remember that's exactly what it is...a spiritual battle and we must overcome in order to be saved! I'm here to encourage you on and I am thankful for my sisters who do the same for me! 

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

Today's Encouragement (24 October 2023)

Greetings godly sisters! 

One more day to follow after our holy Saviour! I hope that's what my sisters are striving at today! 

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:1

Our window view today... 

 

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Genesis 8:22

It's an amazing creation really. 

Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

Job 38:22

Beautiful, but challenging for everyday life of course. But one day we won't have to deal with such things of this earth! 

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

Revelation 7:16

Let us be diligent to be found worthy of such awesome promises! And let us walk in thankfulness for all we have in Him! 

I was thinking about how often people do not keep their word. But most of all, thinking about how we as sister saints need to be careful we say what we mean and mean what we say. And if we know we are forgetful we need to do our best to remember something we said we would do...like write it down in our notes asap. This is one way we can be trustworthy and faithful as we ought to be...for His glory! 

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Matthew 5:37

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 

Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Ecclesiastes 5:4-5

For one example and which got me thinking on this was of the people who say "Yes I want godly fellowship and will contact you!", but then they don't. Of course we are human and other things can come in the way of our 'plans' but I'm just saying we want to make sure we say what we fully mean. And we sisters also say and know and mean - 'His will be done' as we know things can change! But despite it all we want to be careful with what words we do speak.

Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Proverbs 29:20

Today's Encouragement (12 October 2023)

Hello sister saints! 

I hope you are holding fast to Christ who is our life and hope! 

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Colossians 3:4

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Colossians 1:27

 

Good long walk blessing to the post office... 

And gospel cards went out!

Daily bread and Titus 2 works... 

I'm thankful, as I know I have so many blessings and we all do! 

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Today's Encouragement (6 October 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are holding fast to the Lord no matter the situation around you...hard or easy! Many blessings can come to us through adversity and we know the ultimate one is the reward stored up for us in heaven if we endure hardness like good soldiers unto the end! 

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:3

 

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9

But we can exercise the fruits of the Spirit through trials...like long suffering and joy and peace and more. 

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Philippians 4:4

 

One of God's little creatures outside the window... 

Beautiful day again to God's glory! 

Titus 2 works and blessings from the Lord... 

Physical food is good to keep us going for our short lives but spiritual food...the Word and our Saviour are necessary for eternal life! 

Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

John 6:27

I got some quiet time today to read the next chapter in scripture. It's been awhile but there's always other good things to share! 

Weighty things to ponder in there. Awesome things too! 

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 14:12-13

Let us sisters remember what is an abomination to the Lord and flee from them... 

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 

A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 

An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 

A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Proverbs 6:16-19

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Proverbs 28:9

That is an interesting one to ponder. This is a day of such deception it's horrendous...but God's truth still stands and we can know it! 

Let us set our course to endure no matter what life brings us, amen sisters! The Lord will be glorified! Hold fast!

Today's Encouragement (23 September 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are holding fast to the truth on this day! We know we have to endure until the end (Christ's return) or our end (death) to be saved. We know each day counts and we never want to be caught off guard as we sure don't know when we will be standing before our Judge. 

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 21:34-36

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Acts 10:42

Next Revelation chapter to edify... 

God is good to show us the beginning and what is to come. And everything we need to know in between and how He sent His Son to make a way to Him after man sinned. Let us treasure His Word. 

(Thank you sisters for the picture:-) We are blessed to have His Word to know the power of our great God! He alone can calm the storms. So strengthening to know we can look to Him through any storm and be strong in faith not looking at what is going on around us. 

And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 

And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

Matthew 14:29-32

More sewing going on... 

I'm sure my sisters are keeping busy in Titus 2, Proverbs 31, ministry works and any other good works that are our duties in serving Him! 

Hold fast to Him sisters! 

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Today's Encouragement (21 September 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Amen He is worthy of praise always and forever! 

A sister sent that picture above of her sunrise. And I sent one back of my morning light (one time zone away). It's such a huge earth with the sun rising somewhere around the earth and setting somewhere at all times!

I hope my sisters are striving on! I know the ones I communicate with daily are! That is always such a joy to know!

Titus 2 works... 

God is good to bless us with many good foods. We do not deserve them or anything but we are thankful. 

(avocados for the freezer) 

My sister and I usually go on two walks a day with the children. And being in a city there are usually people around and so that means opportunities for the gospel to go out! 

There's always training up for ministry going on. 

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 

Ephesians 4:12

Next chapter in Revelation reading to edify... 

Came across this scripture so I'm sharing it along with some thoughts.. 

Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Isaiah 30:1-2

We have all left our 'Egypt' haven't we sisters...our old life of bondage. We sure don't want to be thinking of anything 'better' we may have had in the flesh back then at all! 

And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:

Numbers 11:4-5

This grieves the Lord. We have these examples so we know how to live to please our Lord and crucify the flesh. 

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

1 Corinthians 10:6

I myself am so glad to be set free from my 'Egypt'. Praise God and of course we know to expect trials in this life in Christ! He told us to rejoice in them all! We sisters don't live for an easy life down here with many treasures. If we overcome down here then we have eternal treasures in heaven with the Lord! 

Keep pressing on sisters and may the Lord be our strength and joy!
