Today's Encouragement (23 June 2023)

 

Hello godly sisters! 

Here's a new day the Lord gave us all. His mercies are new and His faithfulness is very great! 

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

He is such a God of hope and we can keep pressing on as it is not hopeless with Him! 

I had a really busy day out being a helper. 

Pretty morning it was. 

And the sunset too... 

Next scripture reading to edify my sisters... 

I love that Paul goes through in detail to mention faithful saints and he shows there were many labouring faithfully in the Lord and in the gospel and caring for one another. Many sisters are also mentioned and we know they were good helpers among the believers and in the gospel. 

We sure can feel like stangers in this world. We remember that faith and the gospel is foolishness to the world. And man's wisdom is foolishness to God. And so much that man does is so empty and useless. We know to fear God is true wisdom. But we keep pressing on even if the world thinks we're foolish. 

We know this is a battle of two sides...good versus evil, light vs darkness, God vs satan, flesh vs spirit. And while it may seem that evil and darkness is prevailing for a time...it is short and our great Saviour will come in power and great glory! He will gather His own and lest they repent all who do not know God and obey the gospel will be punished in everlasting destruction. We know how this world is going to end. We don't have to live in fear of the unknown. Let's just trust in Him and fear Him making sure to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

I appreciate the edifying and love from my sister saints who love the Lord as I do. It's a treasure. We serve a great God! 

I need to be brief today but hope to share more tomorrow if the Lord wills. But hold fast sisters and I hope most of all that you are striving on!

Today's Encouragement (22 June 2023)

Hello sisters!

I'm back again and I hope you are too because it means you're still seeking to walk in all the Lord's ways. And if you're reading this and are not obedient I sincerely encourage and urge you to repent now while you have time. We only have one chance and there is no changing once it's too late. I think of the great gulf fixed that Jesus spoke about in His teaching. 

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:26

Jesus knows the truth. He is the truth! And He is the only way to the Father and eternal life we do know. And we have to be careful that we don't make up our own ways or our own 'Jesus'. So let's strive to remain in Him and follow Him. 

Aren't those flowers above beautiful that a sister sent. 

And these ones too... 

And some deer creations from a sister's back yard... 

And rain blessings from my day... 

So much in the creation that we can see either ourselves or from what others share, and learn more about our great God who created it all! 

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Isaiah 45:18

Here's the next scripture reading... 

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. 

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:4-6

I'm glad for what is written and all the hope we have in Him!

I was thinking about how people want to see things with all these signs and wonders they're seeking instead of walking by faith. And I was thinking also how they love movies which to them can be a form of 'seeing' I think even if it is fake. And they use music to whip up their emotions to 'love' Him and they think they do because of it but it's not true love as that would be to obey Him by faith. Faith is so very important. And we know it also is misunderstood today but it's a real faith that leads to a lot of different actions in us. We know it is not faith alone ever though! And Jesus asked if there will be any faith left when He returns. And we know sin will be abounding which makes love grow cold and all this because of a lack of faith and fear of God etc. But let us be strong in faith in a faithless world sisters! 

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Ephesians 6:16

Thank you sister for sharing these scriptures today... 

Renewing is an awesome thing! 

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:2

We know we shall reap if we faint not! 

Amen we want to be established in the faith and not be moved by any number of things that can destroy our faith.

Today's Encouragement (21 June 2023)

Greetings sister soldiers! 

I hope you're marching on for the Lord and fighting the battle on His side! 

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

Next scripture reading to edify my sisters.... 

Was pondering what it says about us all standing before the judgement seat of Christ.

So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Romans 14:12

It sure puts fear in us to make sure we truly are of Him. 

Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel.

Amos 4:12

Yes...prepare to meet God. That is the wisest thing to do. 

And goes along with this scripture a sister shared... 

We're responsible for ourselves aren't we sisters. That's all we can change...if we have a willing heart and with God's help and power. We sure can try to help others too as we should but we can't force anyone or change anyone really. 

I was thinking about this scripture and concept that Jesus gave too... 

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mark 9:43-44

And how we need to take radical action against anything that causes us to stumble. People take sin very lightly. And that may be because of the lie that Jesus covers all believers sins even if they don't repent of them which just is not true. And also the lie that God loves everyone no matter what. We know Christ is the love and we must be abiding in Him to be spared God's wrath. In this age of deception we do have to fight hard against being deceived and sort through a lot of lies to find the truth. Let's keep doing that sisters and not be prideful that we have gotten somewhere and can't be wrong. 

Well, it's been a cold, windy, and rainy day here...best for working inside. What a blessing shelter is and warm clothes and heating. Extra blessings the Lord gives us. 

So I must go now but I hope you stand sisters wherever the Lord has you growing...and I will here. He is worthy! Hold fast sisters!

Today's Encouragement (20 June 2023)

 

Hello sisters!

I hope you are looking forward today and not backwards at any number of things back there that can distract. Our hope is ahead and if we have repented of anything we need to and are walking in the light we are cleansed and a precious promise awaits us. 

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

Pretty clouds today... 

Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: 

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

Psalm 147:7-8

Lots to see in His creation especially if we are looking and not rushing past ignoring eveything, too busy with cares of this life. And we like to look because we know He made it and we can give Him glory. 

I loved seeing this clean white cauliflower growing out in the garden with all sorts of dirt around... 

We too can be spotless in a filthy world of sin. 

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:14

 

That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

1 Timothy 6:14

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

2 Corinthians 6:17

I was putting some garlic-infused water on these mite-infested snow pea plants that were suffering greatly...

And of course it reminded me of what we should not be in our faith life. We know of Jesus' parable that spoke of birds eating the seeds that fell by the wayside and thorns choking some and growing on rocky ground. So all sorts of things can hinder our production of good fruit. But we want to be thriving by walking in God's ways and truth don't we sisters! 

I'd serve you a warming stew on a cold winter's night... 

Thankful for food and raiment one more day. 

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:8

 

I was thinking how many distractions there are in this world for people. Absolutely everything for everyone. We know satan (and the flesh) is behind it all because it is not of God because people are distracted away from living for Him with all that they are. The list would be huge and seemingly endless if we started to list all the distractions but we sisters want to be very disciplined even with good things to not let them get out of control or become too big in our lives to the point of obsession. Just one of the daily disciplines we need to have as we always have correcting and flesh killing to do in order to do what's right and best. God and our love/obedience to Him must consume our lives.

Thankful for His Word. We love it and want to live by it. 

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Psalm 119:140

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Well let's keep striving on sisters, working out our salvation with fear and trembling. Hold fast to truth and let us not grow weary or lose our first love or grow lukewarm. Hold fast till He comes!

Today's Encouragement (19 June 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

This day...we will never get again. The time we have is the Lord's and all we have is really. He created us and this world. Let us be ready to give it all up for Him. 

We have a good example in Job don't we after he lost so much... 

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 

And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. 

In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Job 1:20-22

Kangaroo creations.. 

God made so many unique things. 

Like these perfect pretty flowers a sister shared... 

And we too are His creations made in His likeness and bought with a price. We are not our own! Let us not do our own ways either! 

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 6:20

Today's Encouragement (17 June 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

I hope you are well and holding fast in the faith and to sound doctrine! 

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Hebrews 10:24

That's what we sisters all like to do for one another...we encourage and build up and help and yeah rebuke when we need to and all that is true love. I appreciate my sisters willing hearts to grow and not stay on milk but strong meat of the Word and daily life striving in Christ ready to endure the trials of the faith which will be many. 

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:12-14

Next scripture reading to edify my sisters here... 

I had another busy and fruitful day. 

I like that you can buy slightly odd fruits and veggies that there's nothing wrong with but they aren't perfect enough to sell as usual apparently. 

Good for those of us wanting to be frugal and who aren't fussy. Good foods God made! 

Never seen a fruit like this... 

Says they're called 'durian'. Interesting creation. There's so many different fruits God made! 

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. 

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. 

If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

John 12:24-26

I love that.

Today's Encouragement (16 June 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you're holding fast to the Lord today! 

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. 

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

Psalm 63:7-8

Let's all do that too sisters! 

I'm back again striving to encourage my godly sisters on in the faith! And we all have willing hearts to conform our lives to His ways. As I often say probably, we are so blessed to have His Word to know how we women are to live and all the other general commandments for everyone. We know from the very beginning what God created woman for and how things went after that. And today we still are affected by the effects of the first sin of the first woman and the huge changes that came upon the world because of it. 

One example being this... 

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1 Timothy 2:12-14 

And we need to submit to that role and be on guard for being deceived. 

We know it's a command for us not to be deceived... 

We know who is the father of lies/deception. And we know who is the truth...Jesus our Saviour! 

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

3 John 1:4

 

Here's the next scripture reading to edify you... 

My days have been busy in Titus 2 houseworks and other good things. Even if each day has much the same in, like cooking and washing dishes, we know it's good works and also good to endure in patiently and do it all as unto the Lord! He is worthy! 

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 1:28

I love that and am thankful for faithful godly saints who were diligent to speak and teach the truth and we still have that written word today! 

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Acts 20:27

We too want to live by all His Word that applies to us today. I'm thankful for it.

Today's Encouragement (15 June 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

How are you today?! I hope you are enduring no matter what is going on in your life or around you. Keep holding fast sisters as good soldiers! And I strive to here as well. 

I'm back again sharing what I have for edification. 

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

1 Corinthians 14:12

We can all work to be givers in the ways that we can to build up and encourage each other.

Praise God for every part of it He gave us! 

Thank you sisters for sharing these... 

His Word is so good...because He is good! 

That's one of our jobs isn't it...discerning good from evil. 

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:14

We don't want to have it reversed to think good is evil or evil is good as sadly many do in these dark days. Let us go by what God says is good and what He says is evil. 

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Romans 12:9

And let's not be ashamed to call things as they are and cleave to good and abhor and turn away from evil. 

Hold fast to the good way, sisters, following after the Lord our Saviour who made the way for us!

Today's Encouragement (14 June 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Hopefully you're striving on wherever you are on this big earth! We have our race set before us which we have to endure in...to the very end. So many distractions and snares and temptations along the way that can beset us. Let's set our mind on Him and press right through although we do need to deal with this world and the trials of it but that is our reasonable service to press through it all anyway. 

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Yes patience we need for sure. We can overcome as our Saviour did and saints gone before us! Let us be watchful and soberminded and diligent in it all, striving to walk worthy of Him! 

We can be pleasing to God! So many lie and say all our righteousness are as filthy rags to Him...but they are not. 

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 3:22

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

 

Let's keep striving to do that which is pleasing in His sight. We are blessed to have His Word to obey because we love Him and believe in Him! 

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:8

Let us walk after the Spirit in all good things and crucify the flesh and it's deeds! 

Just some glimpses of my busy Titus 2 day... 

Simple yet delicious daily food the Lord provided again. I'm thankful. 

And ingredients to cook with... 

Healthy foods to serve others with and keep me going in serving. 

And a lot of work to keep my hands busy... 

I'm sure you know what that picture is sisters! Lol something that we may have a lot of!

Pretty creations to see... 

All good things and not bad or vain time wasting things we once did. Praise God we can now be doing that which is pleasing to Him and not vain or foolish things.

God is good to us in so many ways. How can we not want to humbly serve Him with a very thankful heart. Amen we sisters do want to! Hold fast sisters!

Today's Encouragement (13 June 2023)

 

Hello sister soldiers!

I hope we're all strong in the faith today! True faith believes in God and His promises and all He has said even though we don't see Him face to face. We obey as if He were right there telling us what to do though. We obey because we love Him and want to be His faithful servants. We're so blessed to have His written word! He is good to give it to us. 

Next scripture to edify you... 

Sometimes our lives may be very simple but yet that's what we should be doing but just not a lot to share here always I mean! But always something edifying comes to mind and of course His eternal word we can share! 

And our days may be a lot of little things that all add up to a lot. But aren't we meant to be faithful in little? We are! And we can only do what we can do and God knows our hearts and what we may like to do that is good but cannot. He also wants us to be thankful and content with what He gave us. And how much more do we have above food and clothing...a lot! We can be thankful for it all but yet not having our treasures here but above! 

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:21

 

Hold fast sisters and let's all keep testing all things and pressing on to the mark of the high calling in Christ. 

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Colossians 1:10-11

Today's Encouragement (12 June 2023)

Greetings sisters! 

Here's one more day and a new post to try my best to encourage my sisters to press on in the faith!

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 3:14

That big word...IF! Let's strive to endure stedfast in Christ until the end sisters! 

Next scripture reading to edify... 

Thankful for the truth in this world, specially in this age of so many lies and so much other sin. We are to be obedient servants to God and of righteousness! And we are to walk in newness of life and be dead to sin! 

I love cooking with spices God made... 

Colourful and tasty. 

And I'd serve my sisters a bowl... 

And we'd be thankful for daily bread!

And that's just physical bread but we live by every Word of God and Jesus is the bread of life. We can live by Him and through Him and praise God He intercedes for us with the Father! God has been so merciful to us and whenever we see tragedies in the world of death and suffering...it really just reminds us that God is being merciful to us and everyone else who is alive and having a relatively easy life. We don't deserve what we have but we humbly appreciate it and are thankful to God the giver of every good thing. 

Well I hope you're seeking to love the Lord our God with all that you are and me here too. Hold fast in it all sisters! We can overcome and do all things we need to through Him! Greater is He in us than he in the world. It will be worth it all and He surely is worthy to be glorified by our lives bearing much good fruit!

Today's Encouragement (11 June 2023)

 

Greetings sisters! 

God gave us another day to live for Him. Hope your day is going well in that! It's a great blessing to be a godly woman amen sisters?! 

God's word is so packed with His awesome ways by which we are to live isn't it sisters... 

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; 

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Romans 12:9-12

We could spend much time pondering those and making sure we have that all in our lives. 

Just some Titus 2 from my day...

I know you sisters are working hard to look after whoever the Lord has in your life...husband, children, family, or others you serve (or just yourself if you are alone.). And even if it is simple quiet work minding our own business it is pleasing to the Lord and He made us to be helpers and we know serving is the greatest in His kingdom.
