Greetings sisters!

Amen sisters!

I have some simple edification for your day sisters! I've had another busy and fruitful day and more to go yet but I like sending out some encouragement to my sisters who love the Lord.

These almond blossoms covered in raindrops were so awesome to see today! (It may not show up on the video.) Glory to the great Creator!

I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:

To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.

Job 5:8-11

Well time is moving fast and we are heading on towards the end of the year...kind of!

Reminds me of this verse...

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
Colossians 4:5

I finished sewing the skirt today...

And God provided food for another day...

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Isaiah 2:17

Yes sisters! One day all the pride of man and wicked unjust ways against the righteous will be put right...by a just and holy God. And He alone will be exalted! I look forward to that! This life won't go on forever! That time is coming!

Thank you sister for the picture. Amen let us edify one another.

I shall leave it there sister saints! I hope and pray you are all seeking after Christ and His narrow road which leads to eternal life with an undivided heart! Praise God we have His Word and the example of the faithful saints that have gone on to their reward before us.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:12-16

The Godly Woman and Works

Greetings sisters!

How are you going as you strive along the narrow road?

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:12

A sister read me Genesis 22 (you can go see what that's about) this morning and so that got me pondering about how our works of obedience are a big test of our faith...the evidence of it.

Think how big that must have been for Abraham to be preparing to offer his special promised son to God! He obeyed...even if it was the hardest thing!

Today we have tests to our faith too whether we will obey God or choose our own way (which is sin).

So I thought I'd read James 2 for you sisters.

So that's all a great lesson for us isn't it! A great encouragement too knowing we have tests and trials ahead. God spoke and told Abraham what to do...and he obeyed. Now we have the written word of God and He speaks through His Son.

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Hebrews 1:1-2

In relation to us women, we obey what He commanded us to do today. Of course there are many areas as we live by all His Words but just a few for women would be how we are to be under male authority in submission, dressed in biblical clothing, headcovered, helper to a husband (if we have one), keeper at home, have a meek and quiet spirit, not adorn our outsides, and such like.

These are acts of obedience that prove our true faith in Christ, amen sisters?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

We must first come through faith in our Saviour's death for our sin. Repent of our ways and turn from them. Be born from above by the Spirit and given a new heart and mind to love and obey God, which will lead to a holy life. And we all must endure until the end. Then we shall get our reward and be with the Father forever, sisters! For now we have work to do and trials to go through. Let's glorify the Lord in living lives which produce fruit which is evidence of repentance.

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Matthew 3:8

And we can then reach out to the lost with this same glorious gospel of Christ which has transformed our lives!

So let us women press on in obeying God not listening to people who try to tell us we don't have to obey God any more, or that we are trying to work our way to heaven by our obedience. It doesn't matter what people think in the end. We will stand before God alone one day. Let's not be deceived by others.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-8

And I'm blessed to get to sew another skirt...

I'm grateful to be able to help meet the needs for women in providing biblical clothing.

I like seeing a piece of fabric cut and sewn, in the meanwhile producing a mess of threads and things, and then turning into a useful item.

It's a blessing to work with our hands in good and pure things.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 4:11

I'm thankful to God that He told us how to dress ourselves too. It really is a basic yet urgent necessity of life. They are sin coverings after all (and provide warmth). That's far from sounding like a fashion statement or anything else we see going on today.

And God provided good food for us another day...

And more yummy berry chia pudding...

This is interesting...some feta cheese my youngest sister made...

We are richly blessed with so much variety of food in our lives to sustain us.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thank you sister for gifting me with those scripture pictures:-)

OK sisters...if the Lord lets me live another day here I shall be back. And if He blessed me with health and technology to do this too. Let's not take this ability to do what we can today for granted. We never know when what we have will be taken away. Praise God we can press one another on today.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Hebrews 3:12-15

Scripture and Creation Edification

Greetings in Christ sisters!

I had a super busy day running errands and shopping today. How was your day?

It's good to just stop and be quiet and think on God after such busy times.

So my post will be relatively quick and simple but not lacking in any love to my beloved sisters.

While I was waiting for something, I got to stop off at a nearby piece of peaceful creation. I've shared some from there before but it's refreshing.

It reminds me again of the living water of Christ.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

John 4:10

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:1-2

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7

Spot the bird...

We can feel like Job sometimes can't we sisters?

Then Job answered the Lord, and said,

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Job 42:1-6

And more beautiful flower creations...

Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Psalm 40:5

Glory to God their Creator for such wonderful creations!

And a Titus 2 pic...

This verse is so profound and meaningful...

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:36

Absolutely nothing in this world is worth risking our souls on. There's so much though to distract us and tempt us away but let us press on in the great hope we have to come.

I have to go now but Lord willing I will be back tomorrow with more edification and encouragement for you sisters.

Strive on...in the narrow way.

Almost Springtime

Good day sisters!

How are you going in the Lord wherever you are on this earth?

I was noticing the beauty in God's creation this time of year where I live and we are past half way through winter and spring is around the corner. How amazing is this great earth our Father created and we can only marvel and give Him glory!

O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

Psalm 104:24

How pretty is this all!

And the fresh almond blossoms...

And it all reminded me of new life we sisters have. We know we can get that through the Spirit in our new birth when He gives us a new heart and mind to serve Him.

The fig tree with fresh new leaves...

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Ephesians 4:22-24

And the flowers on the apricot tree...

With a promise of delicious fruit to come later!

We see the cycles that God put into His creation.

The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.

The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.

All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

Ecclesiastes 1:5-7

And I read Psalm 104 for you sisters today.

And on my walk today I was appreciating seeing more of His awesome creations!

I hadn't seen a pink pine tree flower before.

And I saw these cute little baby pine cones (I think they are:-).

And there are these old farm buildings across the road...

Standing strong and enduring through the years as we sisters strive to do.

Thank you kind sister for the picture to share.

And she made this picture depicting zealous praises to our great God!

He is worthy to be praised and served amen sisters?!

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Luke 1:46-47

So sisters that is some encouragement and edifying for your day. Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow. I hope this blessed you and may the Lord be magnified through His creation but most of all through our lives transformed and lived for Him!

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:29-30

Proverbs 31 Woman

Greetings sisters!

I hope and pray you're doing well today! And are strong in the Lord and His truth which is of the most importance of course. We know there will be trials and sufferings on this earth until God makes all things new...so let us make sure all is well with our souls and between us and the Lord first.

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:34-36

But today I thought I'd do a post on the Proverbs 31 woman. I know most everyone has their opinions and thoughts on just what she was doing and what she was like but I'm not really going to go into that much but just share what comes and hopefully that will encourage you sisters who are striving to be godly women...virtuous women who fear the Lord!

I read the scripture passage for you.

Proverbs 31:10-31

Praise God that we can have that example written down for us. We know such examples are rare...especially in a world like today's.

We see similar things for women in the New Testament also.

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

1 Timothy 5:10

We see the Proverbs 31 woman being very hard working and most certainly focused on looking after those in her life, her family (and the poor and needy). She has a husband and children (and maids we see). So it's an encouragement for us to be hard working in what we are to be doing as keepers at home. Of course we all have different circumstances but we strive to do the best we can in them.

I'll also add this isn't talking about being a feminist or being busy on things that are not biblical either. We see many women caught up in doing things that are not biblical...and even using the Proverbs 31 woman as an excuse.

We see this in the New Testament...

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Titus 2:3-5

So once again I praise the Lord for giving us His instructions for us women today! And if we love Him and have been born again by the Spirit through the gospel, we obey those commands He gave us. What a blessing to have them. God is too good to us sisters!

Some women can get obssessed with decorating and furnishing the home to the point of excess. A godly woman with her mind set on things above will not want to be storing up her treasures here nor living for ease and comfort here. We already have so much of that in our lives already! No there's nothing wrong with things to help make our lives easier which really means we can have more time for something else...like a ministry/blog/encouraging other sisters and sharing the gospel with others or if we have children and a husband giving our undivided attention to them.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

We know, sisters, that we are to be content with food and raiment.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

1 Timothy 6:8

And also remember that life is more than those...

The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

Luke 12:23

So what I'm trying to say is that we have grown used to so many things in our cultures that we certainly could do well with much less. And so that allows us to focus on what matters most.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3-4

So what I'm saying and tying that in to the Proverb 31 woman is that as long as our basic needs are met we are to be thankful and not get caught up in all the things of this life. The Proverbs 31 woman was all about the home and looking after the needs there and those around her. And today we are thankful that we have so much more than food and raiment but we must remember to be content without them too.

She eats not the bead of idleness. Right sisters! And what might that be but useless and vain things that we used to be caught up in before we were walking in all of God's ways. And basically being selfish and doing her own things, being lazy. Let that not be us, sisters.

We see she's wise and kind too. Also there's so much else in God's Word about kindness for His saints isn't there...

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10

Yes a woman that fears the Lord is truly wise! Her looks and gaining favour with man is all vain and we know from the New Testament that a God-fearing woman is not to adorn her outsides and appearance but have a good heart (1 Peter 3, 1 Timothy 2)...which is highly valued in His sight.

Let's remember sisters to seek first God's kingdom and righteousness always...

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

So that's some of my thoughts and sharing on all that! I hope it was edifying to you in some way! Let us all strive to be godly obedient women; Titus 2, Proverbs 31, 1 Corinthians 11, 1 Timothy 2, 1 Peter 3, 1 Corinthians 14 women and obeying all the rest too of course!

Until tomorrow Lord willing...

26 July 2021

Good day sisters!

How are you?

I was working on another post but didn't quite get it done so I wanted to do a smaller one here. There's only so much we can do and we have to be OK with that and not worry about it. We have to make sure the most important things are in place in our lives first.

But so I wanted to share a few little things to edify and encourage you today sisters!

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 6:1-10

I just thought of this verse from that passage...

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

And so I shared the whole passage. Again we see some of the great hardship those gone before us went through as well.

But that verse reminds me of all the other scriptures about being blameless.

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:15

Let's strive to walk blameless sisters!

And for some Titus 2, I share a delicious berry chia pudding I made today...

What a blessing of good and healthy foods for us!

And tonight's meal with more blessings of veggies from the garden...

I was washing dishes and saw the beautiful evening sunshine so I dashed out to take a video for a sister and she sent me these scripture pictures she made off it.

Thank you sister!

And for this one too...

There was a pretty sunset too! (which the camera doesn't really show)

Ok sisters! Strive on one more day and Lord willing I'll be back tomorrow.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23

Love in Christ, holy sisters!
