Today's Encouragement (30 April 2022)

Greetings to my sisters!

Glad to pop in here and share a little encouragement for you. I've had a busy and fruitful day which is almost past but more work to go including sharing some edification with my sisters who love the Lord!

Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

James 3:13

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

Those remind us to live a holy life in the place where we are called, living obedient to the Lord and others will see this. We first do this to obey and glorify the Lord don't we sisters. And we also hope others may come unto the knowledge of the truth and be saved and not lost eternally.

Pretty day today. Glory to God!

Blessed to have a peaceful view out of my room window.

Sewed two skirts today and I hope to post a 'how to sew an aline skirt' (the one on the left) in the next day or two. The other skirt is one I made for my 2 year old niece.

I got to do more work on digging deep to get out more roots from the garden bed...

Let us sisters be diligent to root out all sin from our lives too.

Well I must go and finish up my day and the work in it. I hope you sisters are doing well in all your duties. I leave with this scripture to edify you in truth...

But the wisdom that is from above is first

pure,

then peaceable,

gentle,

and easy to be intreated,

full of mercy

and good fruits,

without partiality,

and without hypocrisy.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

James 3:17-18

Amen! May all those be seen in our lives!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Not Being Choked

Greetings godly sisters!

How are each of you going? I hope that you all are standing strong in Christ, deeply rooted in Him!

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 5:10-11

I love that scripture! It's so strong sounding!

I was thinking about this scripture...

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Luke 8:14

I know I shared some yesterday about how there are so many who love pleasures more than God which makes them dead.

God's word is so good. We know it is but it explains everything as we see happening doesn't it. Of course He is greater than all this world and knows all things! But I was pondering that scripture and we can also take that as a warning to ourselves. But we indeed do see those who hear the truth and claim the name of Christ being choked by the world; it's riches and lusts and pleasures....entertainments of all kinds like sports, music, games, shows, rides, amusement parks, movies, TV, books, and other hobbies. And even good things like for us women, keeping the home, we could become obsessed with decorations and keeping it spotless while neglecting what matters most. Kind of reminds me of Mary and Martha here.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Luke 10:40-42

But there is so much love of the pleasures of this life that we may not have fully realized the depths of it all when we first came to follow Christ but the longer we follow Him and see the depths of His holiness the more we see don't we.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

Proverbs 31:30

And a woman can definitely be choked by favour and beauty if she has pride in her appearance and wants to alter this to try to make herself 'more attractive'. That is not good fruit that comes from the seeds falling on good soil is it. Good fruit would be losing her self and life and what she wants to look like to conform to God's commands for holy women. We ought to be willing to lose this for Christ and it be a joyous thing! And then you don't care about such things anymore but rejoice in the simplicity and labour for that which is important. Christ truly sets us free!

I was trying to think of more ways that a woman may become choked by the cares of this life. I'm sure you can think of more.

Perhaps it could be also for a single woman in that she is so focused on wanting to be married, and not leaving that in the Lord's hands, that she may compromise and turn back because there are so few godly men. She should be focusing on the blessings she does have and thankful and content in the Lord's will, doing His work instead.

There could be other women who cannot unattach themselves from closeness with unbelieving or disobedient family and so they fall back into compromise.

A woman could be obsessed with all the 'health trends and ideas' or whatever you want to call them. And fearful of eating the wrong thing. Another woman may have a problem with over indulging in the great variety of foods and fulfilling the lusts of the flesh to have all kinds and cooking for those in her life. Again that would be a bit like Martha.

But I'm sure there's many more areas for women that they could be choked. But we want to be among those who keep the Word and bring forth much good fruit!

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 8:15

And we do have to strive in this don't we sisters as we know there are many trials to overcome and the enemy is seeking whom he may devour and other dangers to our souls.

Aren't we sisters glad to be set free from all these things like seeking after riches and pleasures and getting swept away in the cares of this life. Our focus is on things above and glorifying the Lord with much good fruit and letting our light shine!

One of the areas in Titus 2 that women are to teach one another is to be good and we know goodness is a fruit of the Spirit and we can only bear much good fruit by abiding in Christ the Vine, right sisters.

Thank you sister for sharing this scripture picture...

I love that. Yes our hope is in Him!

And thank you sister for sharing these great scriptures...

Amen aren't we living for things we cannot even see. But we trust in God by faith.

What a precious thing to have eyes and ears opened by the Lord. May we keep treasuring this sisters and be faithful in what we have been given.

I must go now sisters but I hope that was edifying in some way. Let's keep pressing on. Hope your many duties and hard work as godly women go well today...and you do it all with patient endurance with joy unto the Lord!

Much love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (28 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Here I am back again as the Lord allows me to. It's a blessing to have many different forms of communication and to share edifying content and encouragement to press on in the faith.

I was reading this and it stands out the great love apostle Paul had and we know we all are to have also as God teaches us to love one another.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

2 Corinthians 2:4

And we see elsewhere about the tears he had for warning others of danger. That's a different kind of love to what people today call love where it's mostly about getting along and all overlooking differences in beliefs and the truth and such.

The truth and the things of God are worth striving for and holding fast to aren't they sisters. We have the examples of those who went before who were all about the truth and sound doctrine and warning of error and falsehoods.

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Acts 20:31

I love this scripture...

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:19

Isn't that such a comfort, sisters, knowing the Lord knows His own? Of course we know this as He knows all things but it's a comforting thought nonetheless. And amen let everyone who claims the name of Christ depart from sin. It's tiring isn't it sisters when we hear anyone making light of sin...instead of wanting to flee it all. I wonder where they draw the line of how much sin we can keep doing wilfully and still go to heaven.

I was reading this and it's definitely what we see. People loving and living for all kinds of pleasures.

Reminds me of this too about the living dead widow...
But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

1 Timothy 5:6
Instead we are to be dead to the world and all it's fleshly lusts which war against the soul aren't we sisters. And ready to endure hardness for Christ.

The orchard fruit trees are losing their leaves...

Such is the cycle of life in God's creation. What a great creation that all works together in so many different ways. Glory to God!

The ants were busy today...

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Proverbs 6:6-8

And that's something we sisters are often talking about how we just go and do what we should and have been created for and don't rebel against the Creator.

Butterfly at the clothes line...

Little creation to look at while going about my Titus 2 works. And there's always something isn't there sisters! Interesting how the different sides of the wing are different colours.

Little lambs to feed...

Praise and thanks to God for sending His beloved Son as the Lamb to die for our sins instead of all the lambs and other animals we would need to sacrifice to Him for our sins. And reminds me again of how we still have to sacrifice in some way today...ourselves as living sacrifices unto God submitting our whole life to His service in obedience to Him.

Such a pretty time of year...

More glory to God for all things sisters!

Well I must go. Hope each of you have a great day in the Lord and rejoice in Him and all He has done and given us and to be set free from so much!

Hold fast sisters! Let us keep pressing on having nothing before our God and doing His will, keeping His Word, abiding in His love. He is worthy!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (27 April 2022)

Greetings sisters!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

1 Peter 1:3-4

Amen sisters He is worthy to receive all things as it also says here...

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 7:11-12
Glory to God! What great things He has done for us as well!

So I'm back and hopefully my sisters are standing strong in the Lord today.

I share a few simple pictures from my trip to help look after my little niece and nephew and do housework there.

Some pretty coloured autumn leaves around and peaceful to see them falling to the ground in the wind.

Pretty bird feather...

Glory to God for all His creations!

Let them praise the name of the Lord : for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

Psalm 148:13

Thank you sister for this scripture picture. I love it!

Our God is a great Redeemer and there's so much hope in Him!

Let us cling to Him and His truth in Christ.

May your day be blessed in Him sisters! Keep striving on with your affections set on things above!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (26 April 2022)

Hello to my sisters! My sisters are those who do the will of the Father!

Today I share some older scripture pictures to edify and encourage. Hope His Word and creation edifies you! Well I know it will because it always does but sometimes we have to slow down to appreciate it all and what it means for us.

My sisters are that! Far above rubies and precious!

And this too...

Thank you for your kindness and love sisters!

Amen...glory to God and our Saviour Jesus Christ!

Lord willing I will be back tomorrow with some encouragement for my sisters to keep pressing on and give you edifying content to be blessed with.

Hold fast to the truth sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (25 April 2022)

Greetings to my sisters!

Thank you sister for sharing that pretty flower with raindrops picture! More to give God glory for because of the beauty of it. What a mighty God we serve and will also be accountable to. We want to be found in His peace and love and not under His wrath do we. What a mighty Saviour we have in Christ as we follow after Him.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Romans 8:5-6

We aren't about the things of this life are we sisters. Our focus is on eternal things...God Himself and His kingdom to come and our treasures not on this earth. We don't get caught up in the things of this world and in wanting an easy life. We want the Lord's will for us and it will be done and we must simply seek Him first above all else.

Tried sewing myself a dress today...

I think it worked out ok...

I'll see how it goes and then maybe I can sew more. Or even add them to my shop to sell.

Pretty mushrooms...

The tomato blessings keep coming...

Very fruitful they are just like we are to be with good works.

The Lord provides our daily bread...

More great scriptures shared by a sister today and encouraging to remember to cling to the truth and not the additions and subtractions from His Word that we see all over the place today from man made religion.

Amen sisters, let's hold fast to that which is sound...the teachings and commands we find for us today in the New Testament.

Well I've got to go sisters but I do hope each and everyone of you are looking to the Lord and doing all your things to please Him.

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

Love in Christ,

Today's Encouragement (24 April 2022)

Hello sisters!

Here I am back again and the Lord gave us this day! It's a day to serve Him, to hold fast, to endure in, and to overcome any trials and doubts and battles and cling to His Word and be strengthened in it. We keep on obeying our Lord and Saviour in all things no matter what it makes us in the eyes of those around us. We don't want to deny Him in any kind of way by doing something/compromising just to smooth over the 'sharp edges' of what He has called us to do.

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Luke 12:8-9

Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 8:38

If we are His we stand for all He stands for don't we sisters. We don't want to be ashamed of His Words. Any of His words...including this and the implications of it...

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luke 9:23-24

He is so worthy to lose our life for! We deny ourselves but not Him!

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Galatians 6:14

Crucified to the world. The world...we learn the greater depths of what that is and means don't we sisters the more we see God's holiness and the difference between God's kingdom and that of the enemy. All those empty and sinful things we once were involved in. Now we live unto God and for eternal treasures above!

More skirt sewing today...

I appreciate sewing and am blessed to be able to do so.

Huge pumpkin ready to store....

That should make a lot of soup!

Praise God for all good things and food and raiment and the health and strength to do as much as we can do.

Just a peaceful evening farm scene...

And some sister scripture verse sharing...

Great scriptures to think on. His Word is truth and light and what a blessing and joy it is to have it in this dark world with falsehoods all around. And an extra blessing too to send it back and forth amongst the brethren encouraging and edifying in many good things.

Hope your day is a fruitful joyous one sisters! Hold fast and keep enduring hardness like a good soldier of Jesus Christ's!

Love to you in Him,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (23 April 2022)

Greetings in love to my sisters!

I so appreciate those who truly love the Lord and nothing is too hard for them to strive to overcome! Let us all keep pressing on not growing weary or faint!

I have some scriptures to encourage us all here...

Shew me thy ways, O Lord ; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:4-5

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Psalm 27:14

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalm 37:7

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
Psalm 62:5-6

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Aren't those great ones of trust in the Lord? It's a good subject to ponder. And we godly women know that we must have a deep trust in the Lord and what He is doing in our lives, in those around us, and in the world. His plans will be accomplished and He has told us the future of the hope to come (and destruction of those who do not obey Him). We must walk out this life knowing He is in control and trust our lives to Him don't we.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

1 Peter 4:19

Keep pressing on by faith sisters! Rest and trust in the Lord in all things and let us all walk in these lives we each have to live with much patience.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:1-3

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (22 April 2022)

Hello sisters!

I'm hope each one of you are strong in the Lord and His truth and not being distracted by all the cares of this life and such. It does take effort to keep our focus on the Lord as we go through the many things we need to do in this life and with the world around us. And we do it all by faith in the one true God and His Son in this faithless and dark generation we live in. I'm thankful for His written word that we have! May we glorify Him in our lives!

I wanted to share a few scriptures on glorifying the Lord as we know we are to be doing that in all we do. We are His and not our own after all and He created this all. And we don't want to bring reproach on His holy name or blaspheme Him by our actions contrary to His will.

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

We know that the name of the Lord is not glorified in those outside of obedience to Him. We don't want that to be us sisters do we. Instead we want to walk in the light of God and let our lights shine.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

1 Peter 4:14

Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

Psalm 86:11-12

And we as godly women...meek and quiet and shamefaced and holy and sober minded and good and keepers at home and submissive and everything else bring Him glory through our lives lived unto Him in all we do.

Pretty evening sunshine on the baby carrot plants...

And yummy fresh big carrots...

Some simple blessings from my life. And I'm sure you all have many in your own lives...good works to do and peaceful things to look at and marvel at in His creation. We give God glory.

Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:5-6

May we glorify Him in the unity and love we have amongst us as we walk in the truth of His Word. Keep pressing on sisters!

Love to you,

Sister Michaela
