Today's Edification (31 May 2024)

Hello sisters!

I'm coming back here to lift up the Lord Jesus Christ our precious Saviour. I'm thankful that God sent His beloved Son into the world for us...while we were yet sinners.

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
Mark 9:7

Let us hear Him who God has sent...Himself! There are serious consequences if we don't (You can read Hebrews 10:26-31 and many others for that.).

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 John 4:9

He is God's only begotten and there is no other name whereby we must be saved. Praise God we can be adopted into His family though and become His sons and daughters!

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 1:5-6

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Romans 8:15-17

That is wonderful! God turns people from children of satan to children of God through the new birth! That truly is a miracle!

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Acts 26:18

I hope you're pressing on after Him in good works that please Him and are acceptable! We are truly blessed in Him.

Praise God we believe and trust in our Saviour! And our love and obedience follows hard on that! When we do focus on Him and all His goodness and all He did for us and knowing it is only through Him we can come to God then serving Him is what we want to do and living by His written Word! I do believe we can over focus on us and our actions and that may be in an overreaction to those who 'underfocus' on them but they are important as the scriptures are full of commands which if we don't need them why are they there? God doesn't waste His Words and time telling us what is pleasing to Him if it's not important and I am thankful for His Word to live by in this world that walks after it's own ways. His commands are not grievous. Loving God is indeed part of our response to the gospel!

Let us continue in the faith lest we fall short.

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:22

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

John 15:5-6

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
James 2:26

Our faith in Christ leads us to action. But there truly are some that do not focus on the Lord, and their actions become the focus. We do no want to be walking in any partial truths so let us test ourselves always and truly trust in the Lord for our salvation. We do not want to be in the other extreme error of just some vague belief in Jesus that people think will save them. No our faith must be real and truly believing in the true Christ and all He said which will be inseparable from much action...a total life change in fact. Let's truly ponder this scripture sisters...

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:11-14

I was thinking how our mindsets can change in areas we don't even think of overtime. It's been four years or so since I quit celebrating my birthday...or allowing others to rather. But I just found myself thinking how wrong it would seem now to make me the center of attention even for a day. My life is all about Christ (to live is Christ!) and I am nothing without Him. I want to be loving on my sisters every day and serving others rather than me being lifted up. Truly I am nothing. My life is dead and I am hid with Christ in God! While turning another year older is nothing to consider sin of course as we know God gives us life and the years which roll by and speaks of how old many were in the Word. But the whole practice of celebrating birthdays has many things that should be concerning to a saint including pagan ways and just general ways of the world like materialism/covetousness and a human focus. While I did turn another year older this month...it's just another day and another year to live for Him and rejoicing to walk in His newness of life! Our spiritual new life in Christ is more glorious to continue to rejoice in and work on than our physical one as our bodies will return to dust but our spirits are eternal. It is more glorious to think of that day when we die to go be with the Lord forever and I am laying aside every weight and sin (including worldly birthdays) that beset me from running my race and attaining that life.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Just sharing some thoughts that came to mind as they do sometimes and it's good to ponder something you haven't for awhile I guess.

This scripture came to mind after reading one about denying the Lord.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23

We don't deny our Lord but we do deny ourselves! That's something worth pondering on and the depths of what it really means to deny ourselves.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:33

And we know Peter and the disciples were tested and although they had every good intention not to, at the greatest hour of affliction they failed. Let us press on in obedience after our Lord no matter the cost and not seek to save our own life. We take our Lord and all He is and commands of us and definately not making up our own Jesus that doesn't say the hard things either.

We can deny Him by our works contrary to His commands of which we don't want to do.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 1:16

We want to be meek submitted obedient holy daughters of God don't we sisters. Let us press on in this.

I'm going to be having some busy days cleaning up the house here (it's just me here now so that can be my focus) then travelling back again, all if the Lord wills. We just keep going in our days don't we sisters...whatever they have in them whether they don't change much or have some changes or even drastic changes! We can keep stedfast on Christ our Rock of truth through it all. We're blessed to have that.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:10-11

Keep pressing on in Him my sisters! Grow not weary in well doing!

Love to you all in our Lord,

Hello sisters!

I'm back and I trust you also are continuing to seek the Lord!

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 9:10
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
Psalm 40:16

There's much about seeking the Lord in His Word. We are to seek His kingdom and righteousness first.

Getting some dry wood in yesterday before the rain...

The type of trees here are usually dropping huge limbs so that's a great source of firewood. So simple yet satisfying or something:-) Just basic necessities of life of heating a house (and if necessary you can cook with it and dry clothes).

And the rain came and it smelled so fresh! I was thankful to get most all the laundry done...so let it rain! 🌧️

I was sitting on the porch with the 6 month old and he was staring at the rain (he hasn't seen much) and was getting sleepier and sleepier and fell asleep to the soothing sounds:-) Precious little ones. Innocent and pure in this dark world.

I'd share savoury muffins...

Or choc chip oatmeal cookies...

Just doing my helper works here day by day. And I know all my sisters around the world from every people and kindred and tongue and nation past, present and future have done and are doing and will do them!
After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 7:9-10

This is something the children here were playing with...

Just a little container with beach creations in it:-) Good things of His creations to learn about.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

The children here are really fascinated by squirrels and like to see videos of them like the ones I took when I was in Canada as there aren't any here. Good, pure, and true things for little ones in this world where many of the world's children are playing video games which include violence, sitting in front of televisions and movies, reading fantasy books, getting shoved off to school and such like. Just keep remembering to be so thankful to raise children in the Lord if you have them sisters. It's a big job and responsibility. The Lord help you!

No matter what we do or say there's always going to be someone who takes it wrongly or thinks we did it for a wrong motive. The world doesn't understand us. And neither does the Christianity of our day. But again let's just do what we need to as unto the Lord and not worry about what humans think. They didn't receive Him when He came unto His own. We are no better than our Master.

In this world we live in, I would much rather have the Lord see and know all my thoughts and actions (as He certainly does!) than man who has a fallen heart who may twist or misunderstand or take wrongly or mock something you meant in all sincerity and good will. So some may think we hide in the dark when we're not! So if I decide not to share everything I do or say on my blog here or what others say to me...it is only hidden from man's eyes not the Lord's and I'm completely good with that. Man can be evil...God is not! David knew this also...

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
2 Samuel 24:14

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 10:16

Let us walk through these perilous times as wisely as possible. We have been told to beware of men.

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Matthew 10:17

We don't fear man but we should wisely consider how we walk through this life with the wicked all around.

And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him.
1 Samuel 18:14

We naturally will be wanting to withhold some things from people who are out to get others, for sadly there are people like that just as we sisters wouldn't walk through a dark alley in a city alone. That's not fear of man...but wisdom.

Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
Psalm 56:5
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Matthew 7:6

I understand no human is to be trusted like the Lord is but we are to follow after the Lord as His dear children. No doubt this would include the area of being faithful and trustworthy. Surely we don't mean the same speaking of trustworthy humans as God is! They're just faithful and wise and careful and loving and reliable etc the best they humanly can be with the Lord's help.

Which brings me to the fact of what trusting in the Lord means. There's many scriptures about that and we know He is good and worthy of all our confidence! We are so blessed in that! Trust in Him with all your heart sisters and I will strive to do the same here, and let's go forth confident in His goodness!

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalm 34:8

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Psalm 9:10
O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Psalm 7:1

We know we don't need human words. You don't need my blog. We all just need the Word of God.

We know the world and people in general love to hear 'some new thing'...but my blog is focused around the Word so nothing new here really. And certainly no gossip about others so nothing that is highly esteemed among men. We know man loves something 'new' as the media is full of it as well as other things including the denominations of the false churches which are growing in number as the deception increases.

His Word is sufficient for us and for edifying the body. But it's good for His saints to edify one another also which I am striving to do here while I can but it's just extra.

I hope all your good godly woman's works are going well sisters. Keep pressing on in them one more day!

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Psalm 84:11-12

Today's Edification (29 May 2024)

Greetings my sisters who love and obey the one true and living God in truth!

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1 Timothy 2:5

I hope you're strong in Him and the power of His might! You see the works of the Lord to help keep us in Him in such a world with so many things to stumble and distract us and satan walking about seeking whom he may devour and also him manifesting as an angel of light to deceive. Much walking circumspectly needed and holding fast to the Word of truth. We know we have to keep pressing on so it's not something that happens automatically for us. We know it is a fight! But then you realize you can't do anything without Him so it all comes back to Him! May He in all things be glorified...not us.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12

Today I am going to share some thoughts on something I've been pondering about. The Lord always refines and grows us in various ways and that is a good thing. One thing that we have to use great wisdom and discernment in, because it's a relatively new thing, is the internet and our use of it.

Obviously there are all the aspects of redeeming the time and not using it to set evil before our eyes or be deceived by false teachers etc. But today I'm sharing about how I blog here and how I need to test everything I do to see what best glorifies the Lord and is in obedience to His Word of truth including loving others and being considerate.

So one thing that came up recently is using a personal blog/website to share private communication without the permission of the other person involved. We know the internet is just a tool for good or bad and can bless others or be the opposite. It is not something they had to face in Bible times so we have to use discernment and wisdom in how we use it and apply God's commands.

So going forward I have been convicted not to post any emails or my replies to them without asking for the others permission. I am here to help people if they want it and putting private communication online for all to see is not being trustworthy. Many people have concerns about the internet and rightly so and it is a dangerous place. No we don't fear man but using wisdom is important. I feel that first I need to be faithful with those who are immediately in my life whether that's physically or in personal communication. I want to be a faithful sister to those I know and communicate with. My blog is my own and I don't believe I have a right to share that which is not completely mine on here. If someone wants to confide in you in trust and it goes further than that so all the world can see, I don't believe this is right for me to do. How does the other person know what we will share online of the communication and then may not share as openly with us as would be wanted and most helpful. (I may share with close and trusted saints though who also will not do this to others.)

There are things we should not take into our own hands. Some things are not our own. We don't 'own' other people's lives so we have no right to saying what we like with everyone about them. This reminds me of a thief actually. Although our Lord is great and has authority, we are nothing but His servants and don't have authority over that which isn't our own and we are no better than anyone are we.

This just came up recently with a woman sharing their concern about what I posted a month or two ago on my blog which was a reply to their email and they felt they could no longer trust me. If we are to be servants to others how can we be if we are doing this?

There are other ways to edify others here so I will stick with those in order to be as blameless as possible. No problems.

This has nothing to do with darkness either. Everything we say and do is seen by the Lord and I am more aware than ever how I am solely responsible to the Lord for what I do. We judge ourselves and will give an account to Him.

So I will not be sharing here any personal communication with women I have or of any sisters that are in my life except perhaps scriptures or 'generic' things which are not personal and specific in nature (or if I have their permission). I do this to protect them, be trustworthy and faithful, and I see the depths of love we are to have as well as other biblical reasons.

This really will have no real effect on my blog as I rarely shared such things and thought I was being careful enough but I need to do better. This will just be a blessing to others who are on the other end of feeling insecure of what they can share with me knowing it may not stay with me. If they want to start a website and share things...that's their choice. Yes I want to edify (build up) others by what I share here but I can't do that at the expense of tearing someone else down...even if that's just they got stumbled even if you didn't ever mean any harm in the slightest.

We are not our own and can't just do what we feel like. There is much depth to dying to self and preferring others before ourselves.

Of course this has nothing to do with compromise as it is just to do with how I use the internet and striving to walk as blameless and perfect as possible. If everything I share on here is so essential to be shared and I can't give it up in love for others then I think I have a problem.

I think of brother Paul being willing to give up certain foods for life if it made his weaker brother to offend. Stumbling others is a serious thing. We know Jesus said it would be better to have a millstone around your neck than to stumble a little one. Yes He said it not me. And as I said, this doesn't mean I am compromising nor throwing away other biblical commands as we live by all that is written and just do our best preferring others and decreasing ourselves and what we want to do.

People seeking truth may not feel comfortable coming to us for help if they think we are not trustworthy. We are to have a good reputation. We don't want to be sent away for not doing something to Christ if we didn't do it unto the least of His brethren. Let's be careful what we do on the internet sisters. I believe the internet is a good blessing when used rightly but also a dangerous deadly hurtful tool when used wrongly in various ways. I don't want to be a part of that.

Here's just a few scriptures that I see that could have some affect on my decision to not share private communication online (or from various other experiences I have had in this area). Some of them apply to saints and some to those without but many good scriptures here. Praise God for them!

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

1 Corinthians 10:32-33
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Philippians 4:5
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Titus 2:5
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Romans 15:2
To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
1 Corinthians 9:22
But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

James 3:2
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Matthew 5:7
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.
Proverbs 25:19
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
 2 Peter 1:6
And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
1 Timothy 5:13
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
Matthew 18:6-7
The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Proverbs 18:8

All great scriptures to direct our paths in the ways of righteousness, amen sisters?! There would be so many more but those are a blessing. Glad to have them to help us make good discernments with the help of the Spirit in this modern age of technology! Let us strive after all His ways and be pruned by Him to bring forth more fruit for His glory! I hope this can be encouraging to all us Titus 2 sisters to be 'good' and 'discreet' (self controlled) and everything else pleasing to the Lord our holy God.

I hope that all makes sense sisters (or any other woman reading) and feel free to contact me if you have any questions on it or anything else I do and I will test all things to the Word. God be glorified.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thessalonians 5:21

Sometimes I'm very wordy in my writings just to try to explain something quite simple and straightforward...so thank you for bearing with me:-) God commands us to be forbearing and I hope to be with you also! We are all human and sometimes we need to be with one another don't we. Thank you sisters:-)

Let's all keep striving on after the Lord in all good works! Rejoicing in hope! He is our hope!

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Romans 12:12

Today's Edification (28 May 2024)

Hello sisters!

God gave us another day to serve Him! It is a joy to know the way and the truth and be able to find life through Christ! I hope you're pressing on in great thankfulness to be able to have these precious gifts!

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:8-12

Just was reading that scripture and love it.

It's very clear in scripture that love is the fulfilling of the law and the greatest. So I don't think we can ever stop growing in learning the depths of it and growing and maturing in it. Obviously we love God first and yet part of that is actually loving others because He commands it doesn't He!

We know the command to not bear false witness for example is covered under loving our neighbour.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:8-10

Some may think they're doing pretty good if they don't physically abuse anyone...yet not seriously considering how words can hurt and destroy just as much. We just want to be careful don't we sisters. We don't want hypocrisy do we. Let us be humble and press on day by day thinking before we act or speak or write. Being 'slow to speak' can be a very good and wise thing to do.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
James 1:19

It's a blessing that we get to work on our lives to bring them into obedience to the Lord in every way. Don't take that desire to do that lightly, sisters...but treasure it as it's something to be so thankful for especially as we see how few there are. Keep pressing on sisters! The Lord be magnified for all His goodness and mercy and grace!

I'm just going about my Titus 2 works here. Trying to catch up on laundry especially as they say it's going to rain in a few days. We'll see what the Lord sends and be thankful for all good things! Beautiful warm days for drying now. Just being patient for the slow washing machine to wash fast enough:-) But we learn just to take whatever comes and not get overwhelmed but I find it satisfying and enjoyable to try to get things like that done before the rain comes:-) I'm sure you understand that sisters (well if you have a dryer it's a bit different)! It's a good challenge. We want to be diligent in our duties...as unto Him! And like the virtuous Proverbs 31 woman.

The grape vines are budding again as it's been so warm for almost the start of winter...

But God made His creations to adapt to a variety of conditions and changes in them just fine! Let us also be flexible and go with whatever the Lord allows in our lives. We know He is in the ultimate control even as we see in the account of Job He allowed satan to do things but told him what not to do. We submit and surrender to the Lord's will don't we. Our Saviour is our perfect example in this.
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Luke 22:42

Well guess that's all from me for now for your edification. Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow. Be strong and of good courage my sister saints!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

Greetings sister saints!

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Romans 15:13

The God of hope...isn't that thought so very encouraging sisters! Hope...such a precious gift in this dark world. We know all our hope is found in Christ our Saviour! Let us follow after Him and His ways of truth with all that we are!

I'm just dropping in briefly on my really busy day here. I hope you're all striving on wherever you are on God's huge earth! He owns this all doesn't He but has given mankind dominion.

I'm thankful for safe travels and I'll be occupied in various Titus 2 works here. And I'm sure you are too whatever life you have!

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
Luke 18:9

We sure don't want that do we sisters. Everything we have is from the Lord! How foolish to think we have made ourselves righteous or anything like that. Of course we have to act but everything is of the Lord and He made us, owns us, and it is HIS commands we are striving to obey. May God in all things receive the glory!

And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

1 Corinthians 4:6-7

Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
Luke 17:9-10

All we are commanded to do is just simply our reasonable service and duty. It's up to the Lord to receive us and commend us as faithful servants having well done all He commanded us. And we see glimpses of what it's like in heaven and it's all about worshipping and serving Him! We know we won't be in these weak and corruptible fleshly bodies then so I don't think it will be a hard thing (as it's spiritual warfare now) to serve Him then and reign with Him!

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44

Sharing one of my favorite scriptures again because it is so good:-)

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:17-18

Let that describe us and the wisdom we have and let us be perfected in it more and more by His Spirit.

Ok I better go now and you sisters probably do too as I'm sure you're busy in good works! But I'm pondering many things especially about what edifying means and how we should 'build up' and not tear down. (We sure should tear down sin in our own lives though and help others do that if they want help.) There's usually a lot of pondering to do and examining and testing and refining which is a good thing as it brings more glory to God and we know He prunes us so we bring forth more fruit! Be thankful to be under the hand of the One who tends to His vines!

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:1-2

He is a good Father to His children!

Hold fast...till He comes sisters!

Love, peace, and joy in Him,

Sister Chayil

Today's Edification (26 May 2024)

Salutations to my sisters on this day!

Praise the Lord for He is good!

Moon still up in the morning...

And this was my view of it shining in my window last night...

Just peaceful creations...good pure and true.

I'm coming back to provoke you unto love and good works sisters! It's all part of our endurance and running our faith race stedfastly unto the end. We don't want to grow weary or faint but press on like our brother Paul did to the very end.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8

I want to exhort and encourage you to do that sisters! Encourage you to get up and keep going if you stumble in the race or lose focus. Look to the one who is the forerunner! Jesus Christ! He has overcome the world and so can we too because of our faith!

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:4-5

Maintaining a strong faith in the Lord is so very important.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Ephesians 6:16

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1 Peter 5:8-9

It is a huge part in our spiritual warfare. But this is also written...

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Corinthians 13:13

We know it's a faith that works by love...

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6

When something is going wrong in our lives personally or in others and also in relationships with others it all can come down to lack of love for God and others. It's really that simple.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:37-39

Press on in faith and love and all good things of the Spirit sisters!

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:13
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 1:14
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1 Thessalonians 5:8

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Ephesians 5:9
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

What would be some of the opposite things which would be works of the flesh...hatred, not peaceable, impatience, unkind, evil, unfaithful, proud, not self controled, unrighteous, lies. We don't want any of those things do we sisters!

I was thinking about the tree of knowledge of good and evil that humans ate from when they weren't supposed to. It's interesting to realize that we have that knowledge of good and evil now when humans didn't used to.

One day we will have the right to the tree of life if we obey Him! Keep striving in that sisters!

I'm thankful we can make the choice to follow that which is good. God is good. Let us follow Him!

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
3 John 1:11

Came across this scripture...

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
Proverbs 28:26

And it reminded me of this one...

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 16:25

We know we follow the Word, Jesus Christ, and not our own heart. And oftentimes His ways are not what man's ways are.

Well I think that's all from me for today. Lord willing I'll be back after travels tomorrow.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Hebrews 13:5-6

Hold fast and keep watching sisters. He is coming back again sometime!

Love to you all in Him,

Sister Chayil
