Today's Encouragement (1 April 2023)

Hello sisters!

Hope you're all soldiering on where the Lord has you! We know the life of a soldier would not be expected to be an easy one. We won't be living for ourselves but for the one who has called us!

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3-4

A scripture reading to edify...

(Well I read it yesterday in preparation as I've been too sick today.)

Thank you sister for the picture. That reminds me of this one too...

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

We saints may be physically harmless but with the Word of God we have a strong weapon. And if people want to fear us because of that then that's a good thing as we know the Word will do what it does.

Hold fast sisters and Lord willing I will be back tomorrow.

Love to you all,

Today's Encouragement (31 March 2023)

Greetings sister soldier saints!

How are you doing in the battle today? I hope you are strong in the Lord and the power of His might! And I hope none of us are like those fearful-hearted men who had to be sent home lest they affect the others with fear in the real battles in the OT. We can all have affects on each other. We know the strong are to support and lift up the weak. We also know about the roaring lion like enemy looking for someone to devour.

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Romans 15:1

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Isaiah 35:3-4

God's ways are awesome! And let us also strive to be strong by trusting in Him and having a great faith and our armour on and everything else that helps us do that.

And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.

Daniel 10:19

Another scripture to edify....

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Psalm 119:127-130

Cute lil things...

Peaceful and good creations God made.

Hold fast sisters and Lord willing I will be back tomorrow to share something to edify.

Today's Encouragement (30 March 2023)

Greetings in love to my sisters!

Hope you are enduring one more day for the Lord. I find it a blessing that we have so much hope today in Christ to choose to serve Him! I hope you're all choosing Him and His ways and mortifying the flesh and it's deeds and lusts of all sorts. And let's all have this heart...

"Thy will be done." (Luke 11:2)

"Nevertheless, not my will but thine, be done. (Luke 22:42)

"And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done." (Acts 21:14)

Another scripture reading to edify...

That shows great love, care, and concern of Paul and the Thessalonians doesn't it. We can try to have that best we can today so scattered and with the challenges that brings.

(Thank you sister for the picture.)

That's a good reminder that our life isn't down here really. Got a lot to do down here though as His servants but our true life is above.

I share some more scriptures to ponder on that...

For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Colossians 1:5

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

2 Corinthians 5:1-2

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:1-2

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:18

What blessed promises of our eternal life to come. But for now we walk by faith don't we sisters believing all our Lord has told us and being faithful ourselves.

Keep striving on in your Titus 2 good works sisters...if that be washing dishes or clothes, cleaning, organizing, gardening, raising children, being a helper to a husband, or other such things. Good works not being feminists sisters. The world may look down on our lives and what we do but we live to please God first don't we. Hold fast sisters and keep striving on!

Today's Encouragement (29 March 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Hope you're stedfast and strong today...in the Lord who is our strength and rock and fortress and deliverer and high tower and redeemer and saviour and so much more! What a great and good one true and living God we serve! What a blessing! Let's remember all this and more as we go about our lives.

And sometimes we may think that our lives will or should all be totally about spiritual things (meaning spreading the gospel, fellowshipping with saints etc) and yet we know we have much physical life work to do and things of this world to deal with but how we do them all too is surely affected by our faith of course. But we know doing our Titus 2 works and being hard working and diligent is pleasing to the Lord indeed so in a way is spiritual I know. We know our faith directly affects every area of our lives. It affects how, when, and where we do things doesn't it.

An example of how we do things would be...with cheerfulness and diligence etc.

Of when...at the time we are expected to which means not being lazy and careless in our time and also remembering what is our priority in life. We may be under direct authority of a husband or parent/boss/master etc so we do things when asked or expected to as best we can.

Of where...best example I can think of is Psalm 1 where it says...

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:1

We don't hang out and fellowship with sinners for the sake of it. But we will always have sin to deal with as long as we are in the world but we are not defiled by it only if it's in our heart and actions ourselves.

Just some little examples I guess how every area of our life is affected by the Lord's commands.

I share this scripture as it's a good one to ponder (well what one isn't though?)...

And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Luke 9:57-62

Just shows the contrast of how much more important obedience to the Lord is than pleasing people etc. And many other things of course but we don't want to look at people and be stumbled or pulled back from our sincere heart for the Lord. We don't want a divided heart do we. We cannot serve two masters either. Can't be trying to walk one way and also longing for another way...it won't work will it sisters! Let's keep pressing on after our Saviour no matter what!

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:2

Another scripture chapter to edify...

Came across this verse before and it stood out to me...

But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Mark 4:34

What a blessing thinking of Jesus explaining much to His disciples that He didn't reveal to the rest. Reminds me also how we sisters may not pour out a lot of precious truth to those who don't care about it which is like not casting pearls before swine also.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

Matthew 13:16

Let's keep treasuring His Word and truth and ways sisters.

Hope all your works as good obedient holy women of God go well for you today and always.

Hold fast sisters!

Today's Encouragement (28 March 2023)

Greetings sisters!

Hope all is well in your life as you're striving on after our Saviour!

We sisters encourage each other to just keep going in everything good, and doing what He has in front of us, and being godly women, and seeing what He has for us each day and then striving on in all this no matter what! We're so blessed in whatever we can have for online encouragement today too. One day all the faithful saints from all time and all places shall be gathered home at the marriage supper of the Lamb!

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 19:7-9

Praise God for even an opportunity of such a blessed hope as we don't deserve it. But today we have work to do to be preparing for that special time don't we. Let's keep focusing on that.

A glimpse into my day of Titus 2...

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

I'm sure you're all labouring in your many good godly woman works and thankful for all He gives! A sister shared another audio today on the Proverbs 31 woman and it had in there about working willingly with hands. We sisters do a lot of that and we want to do it willingly and not grudgingly right sisters?!

I finally thought just recently of adding bird netting over the cabbage seedlings to keep out butterflies that lay eggs on them which means you have a lot of holes and grubs and their mess in your crop to deal with before cooking.

There were still some grubs caught under there from before I put it on which chewed many holes but they're looking much better than they would have! And I hope to do that in future for all things like cauliflower, broccoli, and cabbages etc. Try to at least. I think it will be worth it!

Here's a Titus 2 cleaning tip also (which I saw online) and tested the other day. Was trying to get rid of burned on patches in a ring around the heating element on the glass cooktop...

Sprinkle bi-carb soda on the area after turning on the element to warm up (helps soften the grease I think. Just don't burn yourself:-). And drizzle some dish soup on top of the baking soda. Turn off the element and tip on some vinegar in a patch to start working. I used a non abrasive (yet heavy duty) sponge to then scrub at it (obviously, don't want to damage the glass).

If/when it dries out and cools down tip on a bit of hot or boiling water from a kettle to keep it softer...and keep scrubbing.

It didn't get it all off but was definitely much better...

Thankful for simple ways that work to keep things clean without nasty chemicals. I tried it on the oven glass door too when it was still hot from baking and it worked quite well also.

Maybe some of you have that to deal with in your Titus 2 works.

Scripture reading to edify...

Hope your day is a great one as you keep pressing on with much patience in the Lord sisters. Hold fast!
