Today's Edification (31 July 2024)

Greetings my sister saints!

A new day is here! Always a fresh one of His mercies! Our God is great!

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
Psalm 145:3

And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.
2 Chronicles 2:5

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
Psalm 147:5

What a blessing we get to serve Him! It's an honour to live for the One who died for us!

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15

Let us live unto our Saviour!

And let us walk in His ways!

Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Deuteronomy 8:6

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.
Psalm 119:2-3

But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
Jeremiah 7:23

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
Hosea 14:9

And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
Deuteronomy 10:12-13

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
Psalm 86:11

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Isaiah 2:5

Truly He is good and His ways are the best. His yoke is easy and His burden light and His ways are not grievous. Oh yes we shall have much tribulation...but take courage He has overcome the world so we can rejoice in all things!

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:4

Amen!

Do we sisters want to be able to say this...

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Timothy 4:7

Yes...we do! And surely today matters. And we don't have any guarantee that we will make it to old age either. We should be ready for eternity every day shouldn't we. Keep labouring my sisters! Cleave to the Lord our God and keep being perfected!

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21

Today's Edification (30 July 2024)

Salutations to my godly sisters!

I hope you're pressing on along the narrow road! Jesus said the gate is strait and the way narrow...and few find it. We know He is the way, the truth, and the life. We must follow after Him His way and not make up our own. Let us keep being diligent sisters as these things are really so very important!

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Hebrews 2:14

Good scripture to ponder the depths of. Our Saviour became flesh and blood as one of us. And He through death can destroy satan! We can be really thankful for that. I know, it was our shameful sin that had Him come, but He is good and rescues us from that which we cannot!

I was thinking how in this life there is always the cycle of life and death, sickness and health, hard times and easy times. Just all sorts of things and times and seasons for them all. It's good to just go with whatever the Lord allows in our lives isn't it sisters. Through it all He is there for His children and let us go forth trusting in Him!

I know this is not exactly the same context for us but I like the concept though and we know He will not fail or forsake His own!

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

Isaiah 43:1-3

Our God is great! Glory to Him!

No new thing under the sun is there really...

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mark 7:6-9

It's a good chapter to read and see what others in the past have done and how the Lord brought it to our attention and not repeat the same. May we have a heart close to God and not far from Him. May our lips match our heart also.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:14

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Romans 14:19-20

Good scripture to encourage us to build others up in the Lord. And destroy not God's work in them. And no, Christian liberty is by no means an occasion to the flesh but we simply can't start making our own things up that destroy!

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:13-16

We have God's clear commands to obey and many principles to guide us so let us go forth doing our best in the Spirit, crucifying the flesh and walking in the fruits of the Spirit.

In this life there are many things that can only really best be learned through experience which takes time. There's so many hundreds of things we may face and different choices. Over time we can get better at making decisions through what we learned in the ones gone by! But there always will be new things we face so let us use His Word and seek His help and do our best and keep learning!

I was thinking...how can people see the seriousness of sin if we either approve of it or go along with it. First of all we want to obey and please God, but also it could help people see the truth about sin especially in this age where there's so many deadly lies around. We may be able to tell people about the truth but if they don't hear we keep following Him no matter what. We saints live our lives and they live theirs and there can be peace but it doesn't mean we agree or it's right. Reminds me of winning without the Word too. I know it's talking about godly wives to husbands but the point being we keep fearing God and living out the Word in action. We are to be salt and light.

The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalm 11:4-7

Yeah there's either the righteous or the wicked...no in between is there. May we be on the Lord's side...righteous through Christ and also following righteousness!

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
1 Timothy 6:11
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 Timothy 2:22

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
Proverbs 18:13

There are many and varying degrees in which that could be done and we all can be guilty of it or just make a human mistake in it. But definitely something we sisters want to be careful in.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
James 1:19
Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
Ecclesiastes 5:2
Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
Proverbs 29:20

Let us keep ourselves under His control and if we fail seek to learn from it and do better next time for His glory!

Ponder on His precious grace often sisters! We have no hope without it.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Helps to remember that in trials. And as He also told us to count it all joy when we fall into various trials. Might be hard to go through but ponder on His goodness and rejoice to know Him! We are rich and complete in Him!

I've had a busy day in the Lord's work...online ministry as well as some usual Titus 2 duties too. We just keep going about our Father's business. All we want is to be pleasing to Him. That's the most sought after thing in the world for us, isn't it! We do not want His wrath do we. So let's keep pressing on sisters! Let us follow our Master who pleased His Father.

And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 8:29
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 4:1-2

Hold fast my sisters and keep loving and living the truth and walking in it!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

Today's Edification (29 July 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope all is well with you and that you are still soldiering on in the faith! The Lord knows who His children are and where they are!

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
2 Timothy 2:19

Amen we do name the name of Christ...so let us depart from sin. Let us focus on Him and all He has done for us. He has been so merciful, gracious, loving, longsuffering, kind, and good and more! Our God is the best...of course as there's only one that really exists and the adversary is the enemy that will be destroyed one day and deceives mankind with thousands of different gods and religions and things.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

1 Corinthians 8:4-6

Yes amen the idols are nothing!

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.
1 Kings 18:39

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

Psalm 115:3-8

But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Jeremiah 10:10-12

We serve a mighty God sisters! I'm really so thankful to know the one and only true God indeed our very Creator! Not to be taken lightly is it. It's a huge deal and does have a large affect on our lives as indeed we lose our life to follow Him. We also lose our reputation and bear His stake, bear His reproach, and shame, and may or will be hated in ways or even killed, but thankfully at this stage we have peace (but not everywhere in the world does).

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

Hebrews 13:12-14

But I am sure as we each chose to follow Jesus we have lost in varying degrees our reputation and standing with those who were or are in our lives who are not following Him. But His reproach is greater riches!

Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Hebrews 11:26

In eternity, what people think of us is not going to matter one bit. They too will be standing before the judgement seat and all will give account for their works.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

1 Peter 4:17-18

No one will escape, no sin will go unnoticed by our all knowing God, and there will be no excuses. Let us cling close to Christ for our hope and make sure we are not continuing in wilful sin otherwise we should be fearing exceedingly.

Sharing some scriptures from sisters today too...

And I share a few extras too! His Word is so good to share!

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

Psalm 119:75-77

That is a blessing to have His written Word and be able to know it and have it in our heart when faced with choices. We want to choose the good and avoid the evil. And so it's good to keep refreshing in His Word as yes we can be forgetful! But the Spirit helps us too of course!

Strive on my sisters who do the Lord's will. There is a harvest coming if we don't faint! Let us sow to the Spirit to reap life everlasting! Hold fast and keep walking in truth and light!

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:7-10

Today's Edification (28 July 2024)

Greetings sisters in Christ!

Here's another day! Always a good one to serve the Lord! He has done so much for us and His grace is sufficient for us!

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:3-9

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians 1:3-4

Awesome and uplifting scriptures to think on our Lord and the blessings and riches we have in Him!

I was looking at scriptures on the will of God and then there were so many good ones that I thought an audio on them would be best! Hope they are encouraging to you too to ponder on the will of God in the earth and also in our lives in our obedience and day to day of what happens. His will be done!

A few extras here too!

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
Mark 3:35
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Colossians 4:12

Let us keep striving to do the Lord's will and trust in His will to be done.

I was thinking about our Lord learning obedience through suffering...

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Hebrews 5:8-9

We know He never sinned of course but He was still human and we know He understands what we go through. Let us keep being perfected and sometimes the best way is through trials. He has gone before us in obedience and opened the way for our salvation if we obey Him! Truly without Him we can do nothing!

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Acts 3:6

I love that scripture! He surely had something much better for him! And we too who know the truth of the gospel also have precious truth from the Word for those who want it and are seeking it. We freely give to those who are hungry yet for those who aren't we don't cast such precious pearls of truth to be trampled. Indeed we know the kingdom is as a pearl of great price we sell all for! And others must do the same and lose their lives for Christ and get a new one!

I mentioned the other day on my blog here about birthdays. I'm just sharing a bit more here to clear anything up. I emailed with a brother about it and so just wanted to make sure I am correct on it. I don't want to cause confusion or any kind of 'false guilt' in people. As we know we all must be preparing to stand before the Lord on our own and testing all things to His Word, sorting through all the false things in this world, cleaving to that which is good yet also not going beyond scripture.

I thought of this scripture...

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

John 16:21-22

It is a wonderful thing when a human is born into this world. Even though it is a troubled wicked world with many trials to go through, it's still a miracle and special part of creation and what the Lord does! And yes we are preparing for our death and Solomon said about one's death being better than birth but each human born into the world is precious. And He gives us all the days that make up a year! And all the years that make up a lifetime! It's all to His glory. And we are here for His purposes not our own.

So I wanted to say while there are suspected pagan origins to some of today's 'birthday celebration', I am not believing that if a saint happened to be extra thankful to God the Giver of life for another year on the date of their birth I do not mean that would be sinful or if they did a few extra things than normal that weren't sinful. While the world does what it does with all the sinful things in many areas including birthdays (like partying, drunkeness, materialism, foolishness, joking and unsobermindedness, idle games, and other fleshly things) and we avoid all such ways of the flesh, as believers every area comes under testing and this would include what we spend our money on, what we spend time on, what we value, how we live life in general. So each thing we do and don't do goes through much testing...to the scriptures.

Now I choose to avoid all aspects of birthdays completely due to their general bad reputation, association with the flesh, and some in my opinion pagan origins but I am not saying if a saint did something or anything different on someone's birth date, they're wrong. I would encourage a sister to test everything she does and why and if it's not sinful like eating food, thanking God, or showing someone love etc just good pure and true simple things in the Lord then that's between her and God. If I told a sister I was thankful God gave her another year of life or gave her a meaningful or needed gift or cooked her something she especially liked on her birth date, I cannot say that's sinful! And while I could do all those things any day and it's good to do what we can to love others and care for them and appreciate them in the Lord, we can't just say 'oh I can't do anything today because it's your birth date and I might look like I'm being pagan'...it can get ridiculous and going beyond scripture and foolish. If a saint innocently and in good faith does any kind of recognition for the passing of time and the marking of another year or being reminded to be thankful for someone having been born into the world, I personally don't want to call that celebrating a birthday due to that meaning something the world does but anyway some things go into the area of being like 'straining at gnats' I guess or foolish. Anyway just trying to clarify what I believe on that. Let us do all we do with a good conscience, pure motives and hearts, and in faith and joy in the Holy Spirit. Let us strive on in the simplicity of Christ and be led of the Spirit, and giving thanks in all things, loving others, and glorifying Him! Let us keep preparing for eternity while we have life and breath!

I like these scripture too and leave you with them. Strive on my beloved sisters!

Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Acts 9:31

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14

Today's Edification (27 July 2024)

Greetings my beloved sisters!

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
Philippians 4:1
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Romans 12:19
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
James 1:19
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
3 John 1:11

I like studying how saints addressed one another or introduced themselves and we know we are to imitate our brother Paul and of course Jesus and others He chose. So I like following their examples. I'm thankful for His Word to guide us.

I also see how while we know God's children are brothers and sisters to each other Paul for example never called himself 'Brother Paul' as a title to others that I know of. It's just interesting and definitely not something we have to do as a command or tradition either is it, although we can do it cuz it's true.

I like seeing how Paul greeted the faithful saints by name too...

Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.

Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.

Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord.

Romans 16:5-7,12

A lot of women in there too...Mary, Junia, Tryphena, Tryphosa, Persis...our sisters who have gone before us in the faith.

Time for a catching up post! Not always a whole lot to share as I'm doing the same simple things like washing dishes, doing laundry, helping look after little ones, and also serving in someone else's place so I can't always share as much as I could if it was my own. So I just post when I have collected some pictures to share from my days:-) Maybe they're just encouraging somehow and glorifying to our God whom we serve!

A rain storm rolls through...

The water cycle is indeed so amazing!

The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
Ecclesiastes 1:5-7

Thankful for my mobile sewing shop...

No I don't bring my sewing machines along but just all my ready-made items:-) Thankful to do what I can.

Quite a bit of snack making went on...

And I shared quite a few recipes on my blog...if you can use them or they will definitely help me remember what was good:-)

I think it's amazing how much water is actually in bananas just when you blend them up...

These must have been the longest beans I've seen, like around or over a foot long!

I would share chocolate chia pudding...
I usually just make them lately to use up a can of coconut cream which I just dilute with some water too and add some cocao powder and honey or maple syrup...and of course chia seeds.

Common Titus 2 chore of hanging out laundry, and with the little one watching me and the chickens...

Pretty creations...

I just saw this and it reminded me of being choked out by the cares of this life and how we do not want that to happen at all.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
Luke 8:14

Here's the baby and I in the reflection while I was taking him on a little wander outside before nap time, wrapped in his blanket. Precious little ones:-) They're refreshing in a dark world.

I had travels back today...and the Lord granted safe ones! Not to be taken forgranted.

There was a pretty rainbow to be seen after some hail went through.

God is faithful and keeps His promises! And one promise is that He's coming back soon! Let us be ready...watching and waiting and yet occupying in good works. We want to be found faithful.

Amazing all the variety in His creations!

It's that time of year here when the crops are sprouting and look beautiful.

A pretty sunset to watch on my travels...

Another day is over. Maybe another one for you and for me tomorrow...but that's in the Lord's hands. Let us be thankful and rejoicing in each one...in Him! Outside of Him...is no hope. Let us cling to Him and rejoice in the hope we have through Christ! We serve a good God!

Let's keep running the faith race with patience sisters! Looking to Jesus! He is our helper and faithful High Priest! Lord willing I will be back sharing tomorrow to help build you up in the faith!

Much love and a sister hug to you!

Hello Titus 2 sisters!

Here's another pumpkin recipe! Hopefully it's useful or at least I can not forget what I tried next season!

1 ½ cups oats
1 ½ tsp pumpkin spice mix
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup pumpkin puree
½ cup brown sugar (or maple syrup, honey, or stevia etc)
¼ cup oil (any kind)
¼ cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
1 tsp vanilla extract

Blend oats to make flour in a food processor or blender (or use pre-made oat flour about 1 1/4 cups of it). In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients and then add the wet. Bake in muffin trays for about 25 minutes in a preheated moderate oven (180C/350F)

Enjoy!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
