Today's Encouragement (25 January 2022)

Greetings sisters!

How are you? I'm back again!

A sister and I were talking about how sometimes we can't just easily come up with something to share on our blogs...sometimes when it just isn't coming. But we encouraged each other not to stress about such things...and that there's nothing wrong with saying so and being real. But the love and intent is still there and we do our best. I'm sure you all have days where it seems you weren't making much progress on anything but we need to be content in that all too...if we were doing our best. So today I share a collection of older scripture pictures (decided to go with pink flowers:-) from my big stash of such pictures from over the months. Hope God's Word on His awesome creation encourages you! I know it will because His Word always does that!

Let's ponder these all sisters...

Amen sisters and what great encouragements they all are.

And after a day of technology challenges, I was blessed with a reminder of why we do all what we do. It's so refreshing to remember why we are labouring in obedience and our ministries whatever they are...especially when most think you're strange for doing so. How ungrateful if we just went and lived our own lives after He did so much for us! Well we wouldn't if we are truly believing on Him and have been changed by His holy Spirit! And we have our mission to do of being His witnesses to the lost also.

And we have that blessed hope to come if we endure, fighting on faithfully to the end!

(Thank you sister for sharing that one today:-)

OK sisters, time for me to go and leave this here for you. Hope it all encourages you...no matter what is shared...little or much. Let's keep following after our Saviour, not turning aside to the things He hates of sin and darkness, but stedfastly striving to obey Him in all our ways.

He is worthy...worthy of our life of labouring in His service.

Love in Christ our Lord,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (24 January 2022)

Hello sisters in Christ!

Here I am back again! One more day to edify and encourage you with all good pure and true things.

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 1:10-11

What great things to strive for...approving things that are excellent, being sincere and without offense, being filled with the fruits of righteousness...unto God's glory and praise! Yes let us do that sisters!

I read this verse this morning after reading many previous verses of terrible things if they chose sin.

Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Deuteronomy 28:47

And we sisters want to be serving Him joyfully and gladly!

And then I thought of a scripture a sister had added to my picture and how it describes the early saints and their 'gladness of heart' in their fellowship.

(Thank you sister for that gift:-)

I share some creation pictures of things I saw today. Glory to God for all the great variety in it all!

Find the grasshopper....

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
Isaiah 45:18

And for some Titus 2...

Zucchini soup...

And sausage rolls...

(I shared the recipe earlier here.) Thank the Lord for providing another day.

A sister shared this and it's a good reminder to trust in God in how He provided for Elijah...

In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Proverbs 14:26-27

I love that! Some of us sisters were talking about the fear of God today...how we want to have it. And how we frequently see many thousands killed in the OT by Him for their disobedience. He is worthy to be feared and praised and lived for with our whole life and being!

I must go now sisters but I hope your day is a good one in the Lord! Let us all be working on what this scripture says because of what Christ has offered and done for us...

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Today's Encouragement (23 January 2022)

Hello sisters who love and obey the Lord!

Hope yours went well...or is if it's still going. We were given one more day to serve the Lord as His daughters. How did we spend our time and redeem it for good?

I read this today...

Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

1 Samuel 2:30

And was pondering the fact that God changed based on what the people decided to do. Let us keep honoring and glorifying the Lord in our daily lives sisters.

We don't want this to ever be us...

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Isaiah 29:13

And we can share the true gospel that changes hearts with the lost and including with those who do honour God with their lips only. We know sadly most are that who claim Christ's name. But we keep holding fast to the truth and bringing forth fruit becoming of our new life in Christ!

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 4:11

God blessed us with much rain today! What a blessing! I took you on a walk in the rain.

Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

James 5:17-18

After I was watching that video above I noticed a dragonfly which I hadn't seen at the time...so I went back to check if he was still there and he was! So awesome to see because they usually fly off fast!

A sister sent this back with the scripture...

As we were marveling at the design. And man copies many things to make useful things like helicopters and airplanes. But God made the creatures in the beginning and He made man so even though man likes to get the glory it's all from God!

So I made this one too...

And here's a little tiny butterfly going about it's business...

Just like we godly women want to do by obeying our Creator!

I thought of this when I was watching the rain come down...

And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.

Exodus 16:14-15

Because rain can be such a rare thing here and I was almost wondering what it was too! It's such a blessing!

Think there will be some pear preserving coming up again soon Lord willing...

What an amazing thing; God growing food out of the ground!

And He gives us our daily bread...

Thank you sister for this picture today...

Amen...let us do that sisters! And not just with our lips or writings...but with our life of obedience and submission to Him from a changed heart also!

Well I must go sister saints...keep being good soldiers of the Lord!

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela

Make sure you are following the biblical gospel as many false ones abound in these days. See it explained here

Today's Encouragement (22 January 2022)

Greetings godly sister saints!

Another day is upon us! How's yours? Mine was good and fruitful in various works...and it's about over but I'm writing to you here now.

I was thinking about being ready and willing as we sisters often share about how we need to prepare for situations. God will use us if we are prepared to be used by Him. I like this verse about being ready unto every good work...

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

Titus 3:1

And here's a few more to ponder on similar things of being willing and ready.

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Hebrews 13:18

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Matthew 26:41

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

2 Corinthians 8:12

And there are many things we may want to do all of which are good but we may not have opportunity. And we need to also be content in our situations and in our abilities too. And if we're ready, maybe we will have a time to do them but in this life we know we need to trust in the Lord and wait patiently on His timing. His timing is always right and perfect! (Of course it's always His will and timing for us to be living obedient and holy lives though.) And we ought to be prepared at all times with the gospel...and even in that we may not do or say or handle the situation perfectly but if we still are willing we can grow. We don't want to ever give up if we don't think we are perfect at something that is a good thing for us to be doing.

A sister was sharing how God knows our intent and what we wanted to do even if our efforts didn't turn out as we had perhaps hoped. Perhaps we tried to cook a meal and something didn't quite turn out as we expected...God knows our heart. Or for those of us sisters who do blog posts and audios to go with it we may have spent a lot of thought or time on it and it wasn't coming out as you hoped. God knows and sees all and we are to do things unto Him anyway. And He surely knows our limitations and weaknesses. And the things that we may think are big or bad like a sentence we may think that doesn't have correct grammar or we misspell a word or something. Those are not big to Him...at all. We just do our best and do that which is pleasing in His sight which is to obey Him.

We had a bit of rain today. That's such a blessing in summer! Even if it doesn't make it to the plants' roots for the most part I'm sure it refreshes the leaves and puts some moisture back into things.

Praise God for the blessing of water! Maybe there will be more rain tomorrow. And it will be good for the growing garden.

Here's some cucumbers coming along...

And more zucchinis...those always seem to bear much fruit!

And cabbage...

And corn...

What blessings to have the space and water and sunshine and ability to have plants grow and produce good foods for us to eat!

These are passionfruit vines of about the same age. The one on the left is sitting there and not growing but rather looking worse and will probably fade away and die. The one on the right has really taken off and is growing well! Hope to get some good fruit in time!

But such things often remind me of this parable...

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Luke 13:6-9

Sure we can learn from that and see the deeper meaning our Saviour had. We know we are to be fruitful!

I made these....

...with dates, and coconut, and almond flour, and cacao powder all blended up. Simple, healthy, and yum.

And I share a bowl of soup...
The Lord provided another day!

I tried something new to use up zucchinis. A sister suggested that they can be used to make pies instead of apple...so I made this which is like an apple crumble (or whatever it's called in your part of the world.)

It was yum! God gave so many different foods and ways to put it all together.

(Thank you sister for the picture:-) And we want to seek the Lord and His ways above all else don't we!

I must go now sisters. Hope your day is fruitful, joyous and you're thankful and content in what the Lord has for you. Hold fast sister soldier saints!

Love to you in the Lord,

Sister Michaela

Sound Things

Greetings this day sisters!

How is yours going?

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

Titus 2:1

I know I've shared before about the actions that are fitting for sound doctrine that are mentioned in Titus 2 for us godly women. What a blessing it is to have and know what God wants from us! (I have more on that which you can find here.)

It's in keeping with sound doctrine for us women to be keepers at home, good, chaste, discreet, to love and obey husbands, to love children, be teachers of the young women, sober minded, holy, and not false accusers.

I find it refreshing to think on 'sound things' which is God's truth and the faith once delivered for sure.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:13

There's so very much that is not sound in this world!

I was washing dishes and pondering how simple a task it is and one we Titus 2 women who are walking in sound doctrine often are involved in. We are not out in the world running around seeking to fulfill the lusts of our flesh. We know there's all manner of that that the world is feeding on. They'll reap what they sow though. But we're walking after the Spirit in His ways killing the flesh and it's affections and lusts. We may 'just be washing dishes' (or any one of the other good works we may do) but by God's power and grace we are not someone else lost out in the world in it's ways that lead to death. God has shown us His truth and given us a better way through the gospel. (Examine yourself to see if you are following a false gospel or not as there are many.) The world may laugh at us but that doesn't matter because we don't live for the approval of man but God. Rejoice sisters!

And we sure see this do we not?

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

And isn't it comforting knowing God knows all and told us what to be aware of?

We sure see women not enduring the sound doctrine ways of Titus 2 for women. They are not being holy or good or chaste or keepers at home or the rest.

But we can keep obeying and remaining in what we have been taught by Christ and His apostles, not listening to those who add or change commands and doctrines (like uncovered heads, women being leaders in the body, Christmas/easter etc, false gospels, allowing sin and compromise and worldiness and all the rest).

We can cling to what we have been taught, the simple Word of God, without the additions of man. God gave us all we need.

I shared that scripture with sisters (and it's greater context) and one sister sent these back...

Glad God gave us all we need...and we don't need to keep looking elsewhere but go to His Word to find the truth.

--------------

Hot sunshine on the lemons I went to pick...

To make a slow cooker roast chicken...

Which browned off in the oven...

Delicious!

And here's a refreshing cold lemon drink...

All blessings that the Lord allows us to have. Do you stop and ponder all your many blessings often? It sure helps us to be thankful and content...especially in a world where there is so much greed and dissatisfaction.

Peaceful ducks...

...just living and doing what ducks do. We godly women want to do what our Creator made us for too.

And thank you sister for adding these scriptures...

What a great witness that man was that got healed...for the power and glory of God! And so is a transformed life through the gospel too! Let us keep being a witness for the Lord in our lives.

I love that scripture. It is refreshing to spend time with other saints who also love the Lord (even if it is long distance via technology). It's such a wicked world with so few who truly love God enough to obey everything He says. There are so very many with lip service saying they are His and having a form of godliness but denying the power.

But we sisters keep striving on...going about our simple life with a sound mind, walking in sound doctrine ways such as those Titus 2 things.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

Keep pressing on sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
