Greetings sisters!
It is a blessing to serve our Lord who is good, one more day! Let us focus on Him and how then can we be overwhelmed or discouraged by the things of this life? He is all our hope and joy and peace. So much to be thankful for in Him. It's such a dark and hopeless place outside of Christ. His precious forgiveness, grace and mercy is available to all but let us treasure and not take in vain all these gifts He has shown towards us His saints who follow and obey and are born of His Spirit. Truly we are rich in Him.
The knowledge of the truth is so important to seek and grow in! Just some scriptures stood out to me lately about it so I share a few on it.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 10:2-4
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Colossians 1:9-10
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.1 Timothy 2:4
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.2 Corinthians 4:6
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;2 Corinthians 10:5
For we do not want to be this...
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.2 Timothy 3:7
Or to do this...
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.Hebrews 10:26-27
May we be wise and seek after the knowledge of the truth in Christ! And then obey it where it takes us.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.Proverbs 1:7
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Proverbs 2:3-11
That's a good one! There is a lot in the Proverbs about it too! Let us go to the Source of wisdom, God and His Word, for it!
Keep holding fast in the faith and sound doctrine sisters! Love, mercy, and peace to you. He first loved us and showed mercy and peace to us. All the glory to His name!
