Today's Edification (13 December 2024)

Greetings sisters!

Another day to serve our God! I trust you're all pressing on in that! We don't want to serve our flesh and sin do we. Then we are in bondage to it. The truth makes us free!

For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:20-23

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:7-9

It is clear that the flesh and sin leads to corruption and death. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus Christ! He delivers from sin!

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
Romans 6:14

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:11-14

Sharing some scriptures on pure on audio here...

A sister shared one of these verses today and it's always encouraging to read of the Lord's mercy and His forgiveness!

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Isaiah 55:6-7

There is always hope sisters! And that hope is in Christ when we leave our sins behind! So it is never hopeless...unless we refuse to leave the sins and false ways of course. So man cannot condemn and the adversary cannot either. Be of good cheer if you are striving on in the truth sisters! Hope in His mercy. Rejoice in hope!

Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Psalm 86:4-5

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Micah 7:18-19

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be His name...for ever and ever!

I will go now sisters. Keep fighting the good fight of faith wherever you are on this earth! Don't grow weary in any good thing! We shall reap so many good rewards if we faint not! Mercy and love to you in His name.
