Greetings sisters!
I am surely back again because the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to be! I want to share whatever I can to help encourage you on in the faith. I've had another busy day serving in Titus 2 works but I'm thankful to be back to edify you. I hope you're also well occupied in good works but also with some time to spend on refreshing in the Lord and perhaps coming here to be further edified...with His Word and whatever thoughts I can share:-) This world is just so packed full of that which is evil. All good things from the saints are refreshing! And His Word is the best and it endures forever!
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.Isaiah 40:8
The Word often speaks about what we are to 'put off', 'lay aside' etc but also tells us what to put in their place. I'm thankful for this!
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,Hebrews 12:1
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.Ephesians 4:24
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,1 Peter 2:1
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;Colossians 3:12
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.Romans 13:14
And here we see that we are to add things with diligence to our faith...
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.2 Peter 1:5-7
We replace the bad of the flesh and satan with the good from God! It's a work we do because of all He has done and we work with Him and in Him! Without Him we can do nothing and all is in vain. In Him we can do much and be pleasing to Him and found worthy on that greatest judgement day!
Over time each experience or trial the Lord allows us to have or go through helps us to grow stronger as we patiently endure! Remember patience sisters. It's important.
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.James 5:8
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.Hebrews 6:12
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.Hebrews 10:36
Let's keep bearing good fruit with patience sisters!
Lord willing I can come back here tomorrow. Each day is one we will never get again. Each second in fact. Let's be redeeming them in good and godly works and not empty idle and foolish sinful ones that we once were. He has set us free and set our feet on the right path. Let us strive to stay on it with His help!
Keep striving on steadily my sisters! Christ is our Rock and as He said if we obey Him then it's like we are building on a rock and we will not be destroyed in a storm! Hold fast to the truth, my beloved sisters! Keep walking in the light!
