Today's Edification (10 April 2024)

Greetings to my sister saints around the world!

🌍🌎🌏

And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 8:11

(I know Jesus said few will make it but He also said many. We live by every word of God don't we. God knows and we don't and of course over time it will be many won't it sisters!)

 All His saints all over the earth will come!

And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:29

There sure will be a great gathering one day sisters! Let us be ready.

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 3:12

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:30

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24:31

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Matthew 25:31-32

What a great day that will be! Terrifying for the world but a joyous day for His saints!

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:13

It is also written...

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Luke 13:23-24

I hope you are all stedfast and strong in the Lord today!

If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Proverbs 24:10

We don't want that do we sisters! Let us not grow weary in good works!

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
 2 Corinthians 4:16

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Hebrews 12:3

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
Luke 18:1

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9

Faint not sisters! Let's keep pressing on day by day in His strength like good soldiers of His!

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:3

I read some scriptures on grace here...

I was pondering growth too and how it's something we all want happening in our lives. Just the fact of 'growth' means we have not attained yet or are not perfect. Well we never will be will we. But we want to be diligent and keep growing to walk more worthy of Him and better discern good and evil.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Ephesians 4:15

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
1 Peter 2:2

We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
2 Thessalonians 1:3

I was again pondering Jesus' ministry while He was on earth. He was God and man and had authority over all things. And so we can study His ministry and see how He did things. He would have had His men in order and His women in order (serving Him)...those who were with Him and travelling around as He preached. We are blessed to have His written Word and also the eyewitness account in the four books of the gospels.

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

Luke 1:1-4

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1 Timothy 3:14-15

Thankful to know how we are to behave ourselves amen sisters. I'm sure you are too.

I was also pondering the prodigal son's older brother. He had resentment to his younger brother who returned from sin and his father was rejoicing in his return and repentance. He obviously had a heart problem. We don't want to be like that ever do we. No!

Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Luke 15:25-32

We know it is a super joyous thing when someone truly repents! They can be received with great joy just as there is joy in heaven.

So much to ponder on from the Word and life experiences in the faith isn't there.

Been busy sewing again today...

Was being thankful to be able to work quietly with my hands.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
1 Thessalonians 4:11

Thought this looked like a nice place for sisters to sit and talk or read and ponder the Word or something...in His peaceful creations...

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Malachi 3:16-17

To say that wheelbarrow was heavy would be an understatement...

And I know my sisters would help but thankfully I wasn't moving them very far. Just getting them closer to be loaded into the trailer to take them up the hill. Great blessings. Be quite some efforts going on in the kitchen too in chopping into and using them!

Found a cute little nest (empty) when I took the net off the apple tree...

Very thankful for my little home to rest in or retreat to at the end of a day of work...
And I get to write to you here from it too and I'm thankful for technology to edify and love my sisters with! We all have many blessings don't we!

Made me think of brother Paul...

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Acts 28:30-31

We too are blessed with whatever the Lord has for us to do and use! Everything is His right sisters?!

I would serve you a bowl too...

Good blessings the Lord provides and healthy things from the garden. Thankful.

Let's look up sisters, setting our affections on things above! Christ is our hope, our peace, our joy, our strength, our life, our truth, and our EVERYTHING! He will part the sky and come in great power and glory one day. His elect shall be gathered. Let's be watching and waiting...faithful servants occupying till He comes.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matthew 24:30-31

Well that's what I have to edify you today sisters. I'm thinking about you all and praying for you. There's so much we can't control isn't there. Let us trust in Him and know that He is our portion and His timing is best and there are times and seasons and let us wait on Him and keep pressing on stedfast! I rejoice that all things work for good for those who love Him and He can bring much good out of 'bad' for His glory! Strive on sisters! Let's keep going in our reasonable service and duty. We are doing nothing more than we should be...even when we're labouring our hardest for Him...and we don't want to be doing any less than we should be so let's keep fighting on sisters! He is worthy!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
2 Corinthians 13:14
