Today's Encouragement (17 February 2022)

Greetings sister saints!

I'm back and I hope you are too as we all want to keep walking on in a holy life the Lord has indeed called us to. And it's a blessing to have this little online spot to shine light on the internet.

And this is not about 'us' this life is it. We're nothing without Christ and what we do have and can do is all because of Him. I certainly wouldn't have this blog or be able to write or try to encourage you in the Lord without Him.

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

Ecclesiastes 3:14

I love seeing the water droplets on things. And I share some pictures of them and a section of a psalm amongst them.

Psalm 116:5-9

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Hebrews 6:7-8

Let that not be us in a spiritual sense.

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

Hebrews 6:9

May all our actions, words and thoughts be ones that are fitting for our new life from the dead in Christ.

I posted a recipe for bread which you can find here

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Ephesians 5:20

Had a blessing of an icy cold ginger drink...

How refreshing!

More tomato soup in the making...

Hope to post a recipe soon.

Look how perfect this leaf is...

So beautiful.

Yet the tree also has vicious looking thorns...

Kind of like this life there can be many 'easier' times and peace and joy but also trials. We know this world is deeply affected by sin. Just looking at that picture reminds me of the crown of thorns that the people mocked Jesus with by putting on His head. He bore so much pain and suffering and deep sorrow for us. Very much that we cannot even know.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5

That brings great thankfulness and humility to my heart to think of all Christ went through to make a way for me...for us sisters who follow after Him. How can we not be grateful?

Hold fast sisters...through all things even the valleys of the shadow of death. And fear no evil, sisters...for God is with us. Let us cling to Him and hold on in the most violent storms. He sees us even if we are overwhelmed by the trials around us.

And I leave with more truth from God's Word...

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Jude 1:17-21

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
