Greetings sister saints!
How are each of you daughters of God? Isn't that such a special thing that we get to be children of such a great God? But we have to follow His ways and leave behind sin and the world amen sisters? And come via Christ's gospel.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:17-18
We can't put trust or any of our hope in man can we sisters. It must be in Christ as man can and will fail but God doesn't. I've known people from my past who used to have some kind of more biblical life than most. If you look back at their lives today, in hopes of reaching them with the gospel and truth it's often sad what you find. They have been swallowed up into the world and compromise.
We know that just because a woman may dress biblical and headcover doesn't mean she has necessarily been born of God by His Spirit and is obediently following Christ. No. We have to look at all a person's fruit of their lives, their gospel and doctrines and such like.
And I see people getting swept away in buying all types of spiritual books...like some in my own family...and they don't even know who the writer really is or what they believe and compromise just because someone may have some truth and write a nice book. It's so dangerous when we are to avoid people with false teachings and doctrines. God commands we do these things for a good reason.
All we see going on around us just proves to us the truth of God's Word really doesn't it. Few will find the narrow way and perilous times of apostasy and deception will come.
It makes those who are truly loving the Lord stand out even brighter. They are precious. It is a blessing to be able to give and receive encouragement and edification in the Lord. We love the Lord and His Word and if you are reading this blog I hope you do too as you won't find entertainment or man pleasing ways here. It's all about my love for the Lord and following after the truth. The way is narrow but for the love of God which is our obedience to Him and our whole life given to Him, I strive on. We're not to compromise to 'reach' more people or gain fellowship are we as it wouldn't be the real truth if we sugar coat it to make it easier for people to swallow. Christ is the only way and we must come His ways mustn't we sisters.
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
2 Thessalonians 2:13-17
