His Witnesses

Greetings sisters!

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

2 John 1:3

I hope and pray all my sisters are striving on and overcoming and growing in the things of God. What a great hope we have in our Saviour! And what a blessing we get to be daughters of the Most High God!

I have had a very busy day labouring in the things of God and encouraging some of you sister saints. What a blessed life we get to live in Christ. It only makes me more and more to see the empty life of those around me. It all seems so dead and futile what they are living for and valuing. And it is. And then I can feel sad for them because they don't know what they are missing out on. But I guess for them that is what they find pleasure in but it won't be without consequences. It takes the gospel with a willing repentant heart and the Holy Spirit to open blind eyes. We all were once there in blindness. But now we can shine our lights and be His witnesses to a deceived, lost, and dying world. What a precious job that is really sisters. Let us not take it lightly.

Today I was reading some scriptures and then was thinking about how the early disciples and apostles had seen the Lord Jesus Himself. So I thought it would be encouraging to share some scriptures about witnesses. We know they were eye witnesses to our Saviour and so we believe what they have written.

I just want to say that we women need to make sure we aren't listening to those deceptions that have crept in ever since then. And we know it has got really bad don't we sisters. We do not want to be deceived...like Eve was. So let these scriptures I share encourage us to cling to God's Word rather than anything deceived or false teachers are saying today. With many thousands of denominations and opinions it is evident deception abounds. Test all things precious sisters and be on guard!

So let us women be bright shining lights for Christ. No we haven't seen Him in the flesh but by faith in Him we go on to live holy lives and He gives us of His Spirit. We do see the great boldness of the first Christians knowing what they believed. They had seen the risen Saviour face to face! And we, even though we have not seen, we know in whom we believe by faith and can have that boldness too! And so we go on to make His gospel known. And even as women we have a great part in that...we all do. As I wrote about a few days earlier, we really do have great treasures in Him!

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 1:8

I love seeing the great boldness here. And we can have that too sisters!

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

Acts 4:18-20

So we too ought not to let anyone silence us! Shine that light sisters and be prepared with the gospel and an answer for the hope we have in Christ!

And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Acts 4:33

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Acts 5:32

Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Acts 22:13-16

Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2 Peter 1:15-21

Let us sisters take heed to His Word in all areas of our lives.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:1-3

Praise God!

I hope all those were encouraging! They were to me. But I'm going to tie that right down to today sisters and let us cling to God's Word which He gave to these faithful witnesses and let us not listen to liers and deceivers of our dark and perilous days. We know they abound. God's Word is true! And He had faithful witnesses! And we can bear witness to the truh today!

So I shall go now sisters but I will leave you with this scripture. Stand fast in truth sisters! Don't let anyone sway you!

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17

Love to you sisters who love the Lord,

...from one of Christ's family,

Sister Michaela
