Greetings sister saints!
I hope your life in Christ is strong and you are pressing on one more day!
I have a few bits and pieces of things to share. The Lord is keeping me very busy which is great and you really learn how to manage your time better etc. I'm sure you all know about that. And we can only do what we can and be content with that. Rejoice to work for Him and serve Him daily!
I was blessed to start my day with listening to a sister read scriptures. What a blessing to all share in whatever way we can, centred around our love for the Lord!
I read 1 Peter 1 to edify you sisters. Praise God for His Word!
I saw this potato in the garden. Out of perhaps hundreds of potatoes that died in the frost there was this one standing next to others that had died. Of course you know what lessons we could take and be encouraged by that in our spiritual lives.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.Ephesians 6:10-11
We all see this one happening don't we sisters.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 10:34-39
Yes it would be easier in our flesh to just get along with everyone but no Christ wants His people to be His and live holy lives. Obviously this causes a seperation of heart and in person in many cases (except in the case of people you need to live with spouse/family). Of course we are to live peaceably with others if possible but not to the point of sin and compromise ourselves. Let us remember we are Christ's first!
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Matthew 6:33
That's a tiny flower picture I sent to the sister and she sent it back with the verse. What a mighty great God we serve sisters!
