Housekeeping and Patience

Good morning or evening!

"The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

(Psalm 103:6-18)

Praise the Lord for His mercy and forgiveness for those who fear and obey Him.

As I have returned home after being away for 4 months, it has taken awhile to get used to everything. I felt like I wasn't in my own home for awhile so I didn't know where things were...not quite but in parts.  So I cleaned out the pantry and the fridge today which were a mess. Now I know what ingredients I have to cook with.

I am not into writing notes and schedules and all that but I like to plan in my head what is most important and what needs doing next.

It's very satisfying to get something done and see clutter and dirt cleared up. Reminds me of our gratefulness that we have for our Lord for leading us out of the sins and deception of our past lives. There is a lot in scripture about cleaning in a spiritual sense.

"Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
(Isaiah 1:16-18)

And I praise the Father for Christ's cleansing blood.

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,"
(Revelation 1:5)

May we bring glory to His Name for what He has done. And may we live in a manner worthy of His Name.

Tonight's pork roast in the slow cooker. While it's day and the sun's shining it's good to be able to use the solar power instead of cooking at night. The slow cooker is good for that:-)

Last night's dinner featuring homegrown leeks, cabbage and egg.

It is a blessing to have whatever we can grow here

How much time can you waste on technology that isn't working? Anyone else spent possibly hours sitting at a computer that was grinding away not doing what you want and getting no where. I'm sure most of you have. Yes technology is a blessing in many ways (also in teaching us patience:-) and we use it for God's glory but also a challenge and a time waster when it isn't working.

While I was typing this on my phone sitting at my desk at the computer, I looked up and saw the verse that was posted behind it. So I share a pic of my crashed computer with a reminder to be content. Those verses are ones that my sisters and I made when we were much younger. I usually just use a phone for everything I need to do technology wise...but sometimes you need a computer to do a few things that they cannot do. But I think I'll forget about it for now.

I was just doing my evening rounds of the farm and I was checking the sheep's water and found this little bird drowning. He was still alive so I was looking for a safe place to put him for the night and I came across this lizard sleeping in the tree.

He looks pretty relaxed! Another of God's amazing creations that I got to see up close.

Often I would like to write more to you here...but I plain run out of time. Lord willing I can do so again tomorrow. I hope to do some sewing posts when I have gotten the house in order etc. We shall see.

I hope and pray you are all thinking of eternity and those born by the Spirit living daily for the glory of our great God.
