Standing Strong in a Faithless World

A quick reminder and encouragement of something that came to mind.

I was thinking of the fact that there is so little faith left in this world and about how we godly women have to stand strong in it. And I was thinking about the parable that Jesus told about the nobleman going into a far country and giving work to each to do to occupy till he returned. Yes we women have important work to do for the Lord also and for others around us.

So if it seems this will all go on forever this way I reminded myself that it says that He will come and will not tarry. One day all the evils will be put right by a just God. Don't worry sisters!

And His beautiful Creation is witness to Him and may our lives also be testimonies to His power as strong godly and pure women in an ungodly and vile world. May we be redeeming these times of relative peace we have in most parts of the world to prepare for any trials that might come and do the Lord's work.

I'm going to go read that great faith chapter of Hebrews 11.

I share this scripture.

"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

(Hebrews 12:1-3)

May we keep our focus on the Lord and not on our surroundings as they may change but the Lord changes not and He is faithful. We can trust Him. I remind myself to take a lesson from Peter who took his eyes off of Christ when he was walking on the water and looked at the storms around him instead...and we know things went wrong with him then. There are many ways we women can do that in the trials of life but may we recognize when that is happening and repent of our fear and lack of faith.

This verse has also been on my mind...so I added it to a picture I took this evening. I hope this short post encourages any who read.

Stand strong godly women! May we all be women of great faith in a faithless generation.
