Greetings again sisters!
The Lord allowed me to write another post again. I hope you're striving on in the Lord and His truth no matter what. It will be worth it all! It's rather sobering thinking about eternity and there being only two options for our destination and all people.
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:1 Peter 1:17
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Philippians 2:12-15
We have a high calling to strive to walk blameless in the Lord. We can't change anyone else but be walking in His ways ourselves and in that we are a light and His witnesses and can share hope and truth as the Lord allows.
Another month is over on this earth for me. It's time for another picture catch up post then. Just bits and pieces as I go about my life in my corner of the earth. I'm sure a lot also goes on in your lives where you are, sisters! Praise God to have been set free from any vain useless and sinful things too! Now what we do needs to have a purpose and be useful and of course pure and good, pleasing to Him. And the work on this earth is temporary but good works do please Him so we press on in them as unto Him.
Spring is well and truly under way, with so many beautiful flowers around here.
Just extra beautiful sometimes with sparkly raindrops on everything and fresh damp smells!
A lot has been going on in the garden too.
I have planted seeds but also bought a few seedlings for some that are harder to grow from seed and also ones I want to be getting an early start. I hope most everything will be well established by the harsher part of summer. I'm loading a lot of the plants up with a lot of mulch which really makes a huge difference to retaining moisture.
A garden is hard work, especially such a big one, but also peaceful and refreshing. Just is amazing being able to grow food from the soil with moisture and nutrients. You never do know if you will get a harvest but you always hope for one!
Some mulberries. A tree we put no care into whatsoever so it's nice to get a little something from it though the birds get most in the end.
Usually something from the garden to add into meals. The Lord provides. Hopefully many more veggies to come.
And there's fruit coming too though some trees seem to be taking the year off.
Baby pears. It's amazing how He made all these things grow!
The farmer was cutting hay at the children's and the oldest two got to go for a ride too.
I'm still traveling to help with the children but it wasn't as often this month. Lots of beautiful spring flowers there too!
I did have some sewing to do. I made two dresses.
It's quite useless looking for dress patterns online as they're, you know, how the world dresses, but glad to have at least come up with these two.
I just used the usual of baking soda, vinegar, dish soap etc and a lot of scrubbing with my trusty 0000 steel wool and also a razor blade (that mostly on the glass and shelves though care should be taken on the rest). Heat helps too.
I've also been keeping reasonably busy with cleaning jobs too.
Always satisfying stepping out the door to leave after it's done especially if it's a six hour job like this one...
I am thankful for the work and income to help support myself and have for others needs too. It's also a blessing just being able to be out there a bit more and be a light for the Lord in how we live and do our work. I'm thankful the people I work for are all pretty easy to work with and appreciate the work. I'm just learning so much in how to view income biblically and also in being ready to give an answer as sometimes the women will say something, on a text for example, and I can say why I am what I am and why I do or don't do things etc. There's just so much guidance in the Word for how we are to relate to people too. I'm so thankful for that.
I find the scriptures that mention 'all' as being particularly helpful in dealing with the world. I'm sharing some here!
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.1 Peter 2:17
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:Hebrews 12:14
To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.Titus 3:2
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:1 Thessalonians 3:12
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient.2 Timothy 2:24
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.1 Thessalonians 5:14
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.Philippians 4:5
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.Galatians 6:10
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Romans 12:17-18
A lot to ponder on there and examine our ways in.
His promises are sure...They burnt a huge pile of sticks and logs etc. It was so bright.
There is a lot in the Word about fire which we can ponder on as well.
I had better go now though and get some rest after a busy day.
Let's keep pressing on where we are sisters! May we keep occupying in all the good works that we can...for His glory. The Lord help us as we need Him so much. Love and mercy unto you! Rejoice in hope!
