Greetings sisters!
Here is another day to be thankful for all the wonderful things the Lord has done for us! It is good to always keep Him and His goodness in our hearts and minds because it is easy sometimes to have so much to do and needing to focus on that and do it well too that it takes a lot of our thoughts. But He is the reason for all we do as He doesn't want us to just be sitting around either. It will take much discipline for us to enter the kingdom too won't it. It takes denying ourselves, crucifying the flesh and indeed we are to be temperate which is a fruit of the Spirit. We need strong faith in such a faithless evil world.
But the mercies of God are clearly seen if we are humble and do not believe we deserve anything good in this life. Mankind could easily not exist had it not been for His longsuffering and mercy. Yet there is so much good on this earth still despite the horrendous suffering and darkness. There is so much beauty in His creations. Even to see a dew-covered rose in the morning is amazing and there's so very much more than that! And we have sunshine and rain and food and clothing and many many more blessings of comfort on this earth. He is merciful. May He receive all the glory!
Let us be ready to stand before the Lord and be judged.
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.2 Corinthians 5:9-11
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.Romans 14:10-11
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.Revelation 14:6-7
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:1 Peter 1:17
Let us keep pressing on sisters, knowing we will face the judgment. May our good works be evidence of our faith on that great day. Hold fast sisters. Love to you.
