Today's Edification (17 September 2024)

Hello sisters!

Another day God gave! Let us keep pressing on and overcoming one day at a time and then we will receive the reward!

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:35-36
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:24

This scripture stood out while I was listening today...

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
1 Peter 1:2

Pondering how of course God knows the future. That is amazing to think about really and very hard to fathom for us...but nothing is impossible with Him! He sure knew which people will follow Him to the very end! May we be those, sisters, and press on fervently.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Romans 8:29-30

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
Romans 11:2

Let us trust in such a great God!

This is an interesting scripture to ponder...

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Hebrews 13:2

And it does remind me also of these ones...

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matthew 25:40,45

It does matter how we relate to people around us definitely including those we do not know and have never met before...just the people of the world and all people!

Jesus also said this...

For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5:46-48

It is a high calling we have and we strive to obey the Lord and not what the flesh wants or what the culture teaches us.

I had more of a restful day but still getting things done! No travel today either. Let us just keep pressing on one day at a time sister saints! We know to occupy in that which is good and abhor and flee from that which is evil! In God is our peace and may His peace rule in our hearts, the peace that passes understanding. This world has a way of trying to take our peace...the cares of it and the distractions and the wickedness abounding and such but let us lay aside every weight and press on looking to Jesus! He has overcome the world and in Him we too will get the victory and can be more than conquerors!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31-32,35-39

Let us sisters continue after our precious Saviour!

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

Hebrews 13:12-14

Much love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
