Greetings sisters!
I'm back again on a new day of God's mercies! Each day we get is like a fresh start. And with God He gives us those as He is so merciful and gracious and forgiving to His children!
Hopefully you're all pressing on in whatever calling you have sisters! The Lord gives us what we each need in the different ones we have! We are all different and have strengths and weaknesses and He knows what's best for us all! His timing and will is best for us so let us rejoice in each day that we are walking in the truth and light! This is such a gift! Following God cannot be something on the side but our whole life. We can't have part dark and part light. Serving Him consumes our whole life and changes our whole life doesn't it sisters. So many try to add Him into their life somewhere where He fits but it won't work! It's all or nothing. Those who will make the kingdom...He is their first love and He will have no other idols of any sort before Him. Let us sisters be pure and sincere and whole hearted in obeying Him and being godly women. Let us love our one Master and not try to have two or more of them.
I was pondering this account...
Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
John 21:5-7
I was thinking about that and how Peter did that I assume to get to the Lord faster. I was thinking how Jesus then asked him three times if he loved Him more than these. It's an interesting account to ponder.
This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.John 21:14-15
We know he denied Him three times earlier and I know when you truly repent for doing wrong to someone you really want to try to do much better and somehow, even if you can't, make amends.
I love this scripture too!
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Luke 22:31-32
Let us also strengthen our brethren and build up and not destroy.
And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.Acts 18:23
Here now I am just sharing some pictures that have accumulated from the last time I shared a catch up post. Just random ones but good, pure, and true.
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.Psalm 29:11
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:7
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.1 Timothy 6:8
Pretty sunrise too. All good things for His glory. Thankful to have eyes to see and ears to hear physically but also most importantly spiritually!
And I'm thankful for my sisters who love the Word and the truth of it and live it. So rare and refreshing too. Let us not take it lightly this opportunity the Lord has given us to see and understand and also if you know of others who do as well...cherish them!
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
