Today's Edification (19 June 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I'm back again because the Lord allowed me to be! In Him we live and move and have our being!

That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Acts 17:27-28

I hope you're also pressing on walking in the truth and light! It's always a joy if we know of other saints doing so and we want to encourage and edify them to keep going!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
3 John 1:4

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

1 Thessalonians 3:6-10

If we knew of people who loved all truth and holy ways why would we not want to help edify and encourage them to press on! We are fellow citizens of heaven and God's children and servants and all travelling down the narrow road which has so very few travellers on. We wouldn't ignore someone as we traveled it! It would be like wow there's another traveler on this road after all and a cause of rejoicing!

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:13-14

But one day...having endured to the end of this road we shall all be gathered home with our Lord and Saviour who is the forerunner! What a glorious day that will be when we shall be glorified with Him! Let us fight hard to obtain.

Today I'm sharing anything I have from my days...just simple good, pure, and true things. Pictures I snap as I go about my serving duties.

Sometimes it can be rewarding to look up! Pictures don't show the height and everything that the human eye can but let us spiritually look up for our redemption draws nearer and He will physically be coming in the clouds and every eye shall see Him! May we be found ready...watching. Watch sisters, watch.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Luke 21:36

Fresh new day of His mercies. My window view...peeking out at the bright new day.

Yeah kinda funny sharing this but green grass is a blessing after being so dry and brown and dead!

It shows there's so many seeds there waiting in the soil for the right time to grow. Reminds me of the parable of the sower too. The seeds of the Word may not grow right away in someone's heart...but one day they may! God gives the increase.

Pretty creation in the sunshine...

I think that's fascinating seeing the honeycomb in the hollow log where a bee hive is...

Maybe I shared that already but I can't remember. Anyway it's still good and I loved seeing it and didn't think I had seen it before. So amazing how they make those lil cells out of wax to make the honey in from nectar from flowers! Glory to God!

There's much in the Word about honey and it often talks about that the promised land flowed with milk and honey.

And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.
Deuteronomy 26:9

Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.
1 Samuel 14:43

My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
Proverbs 24:13

And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
Matthew 3:4

And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
Luke 24:42

But what is sweeter than honey? His precious Word!
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psalm 19:10

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalm 119:103

Let us hunger and thirst after Him and His Word and ways!

So beautiful. There hasn't been many flowers around this time of year to share. Should be more coming this winter and spring.

🌷🌸🌻🌼🌺🌹

I'd serve slow cooked chicken stew on a cold night if I could...

Or a pumpkin hot chocolate...

Yeah with a little leftover pumpkin puree from making pumpkin cake:-)

Thankful for warmth...

We all have so very many blessings!

This was the rain the other day. I think it just sounds peaceful mostly (since it's probably blurry and you can't see all the water dripping much)...

Just some peacefulness...

Just simple things from my days. As a servant I can't share just anything and everything as it's all not my things and life but I do what I can. Keep pressing on in your Titus 2 serving duties too sisters! We do things unto the Lord and He sees it all.

A sister shared this scripture today and I like the part about 'trees of righteousness'! Well it's all awesome about our great God but I guess I hadn't seen that before (or for awhile at least/or my memory is terrible lol).

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3

It's nice thinking that we are the planting of the Lord too! And we know we are to bear much fruits of righteousness!

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 1:11
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
James 3:18

Reminds me of this scripture too though...

But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
Matthew 15:13

It's amazing how God shows us His truths the way He did relating them to physical things we can understand.

Well I think that's all from me for today.

Let us wait on God sisters...patiently. His will be done in our lives and let us be thankful and content, taking our requests to Him in prayer and casting our burdens on Him! He cares! He comforts! He is our portion!

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalm 37:7

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:5

May He be praised and magnified...for ever and ever!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
