Today's Edification (2 February 2024)

Greetings sisters!

I hope this post finds you pressing on in our high calling!

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:14

Let us keep being godly women and doing all the good works involved with that.

Matthew 2 reading here...

And some strengthening scriptures that came to mind...

What a blessing to have His Word to live by!

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Hebrews 12:14-15

A good scripture to ponder. We want to see the Lord don't we sisters (awesome to think about) so let us walk in holiness and peace with all. And we sure don't want any bitterness in our heart towards anyone! It is always bondage to be in any way outside of the Lord's ways.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let us have the opposite of bitterness that it describes in that scripture! God's ways are good!

What always should keep us super humble is the fact we need God's forgiveness...in the past and whenever we fall into sin ever which we repent of. And then this should readily flow to others around us knowing we need His forgiveness and that we need others to forgive us also. Let us be thankful for the Lord's forgiveness and mercy and show that to others also!

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:7

Good to be as the least in His body. He must increase and we must decrease and we are just His servants! We are nothing before Him.

Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

1 Corinthians 12:22

But we are going to be glorified with Him. That's His work and we do not glorify ourselves...but be humble and He will lift us up!

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:17-18

Always all sorts of thoughts to sift through in our minds...keep what is right and cast away others! The mind can be a battlefield and we can lose or win the battle there. Fight on sisters!

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

If the Lord gives us many more years on this earth...it's comforting to know we will be building upon all the lessons we learn and becoming wiser and wiser and more glorifying to Him!

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Hebrews 5:14

That gives me much hope. We can keep going on to more perfection instead of getting discouraged that we aren't perfect yet (and really will never obtain it completely)!

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Hebrews 6:1

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Isaiah 28:10

Experience after experience and we will grow more and more!

I love this scripture too!

And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

2 Corinthians 7:7-11

Let us have the same heart always, sisters! We know what that godly sorrow is throughout our faith walk at times. Reminds me also of the Comforter who restores joy!

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

1 Thessalonians 1:6

Let's do our best and grow and remember to thank the Lord for all things and blessings!

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Colossians 3:15

Keep pressing on sister saints...as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, not entangled with the affairs of this life, to be pleasing to Him!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
