Today's Encouragement (15 December 2023)

Greetings beloved sisters!

I hope this post finds you stedfast in the faith...enduring through Christ!

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

1 Thessalonians 3:5-7

I love that scripture! Well there's many good ones of course but it shows a glimpse into the early saint's life and the care they had for one another. We know the depths of what falling away is...losing the hope of salvation unless there's repentance. So it is a joyous thing to know of saints standing strong in the Lord!

I was pondering on the fact that while there are many things we shouldn't desire/long for/lust after we should desire/long for/seek after very many good things! I share a very few scriptures about some of them to edify you here! We can focus on all these things sisters!

The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Psalm 19:9-10

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalms 73:25-26

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Romans 10:1

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:1

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

1 Peter 2:2

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Philippians 1:23-24

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:8

Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Philippians 4:17

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 1:9

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:33

I love all those scriptures and we want to focus on all the good things we have and can have in the Lord! Let's keep striving after that which is good! Praise God for Himself and His true ways and gifts!

Pretty bird creation...

(It flew into the glass and was dazed for awhile.)

Garlic/ginger mincer gadget...

Hadn't seen or used one before...but it's very useful!

Amen...let's do all things for His glory unto Him!

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Peter 3:12

I'd share a meal with the righteous...

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
1 Corinthians 5:11-13
We know the doctrine for biblical separation...especially from those living in sin while claiming to be of Christ.

Let's be fruitful in good works like His creations are in bearing fruit!
That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:10

I made a short video to encourage us sisters in our Titus 2 works...

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

Keep striving and working hard in your godly woman duties sisters!

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
1 Corinthians 11:1-2

Let us hold fast to the faith once delivered and keep the biblical traditions, not man made ones!

We are each responsible for our own actions and we want to be proactive in what's right of course! Often in life we can learn what not to do or be from bad examples. We are blessed to have both bad and good examples in His Word to learn from too! We individually stand before the Lord to be judged according to our works don't we. That's something incredible to think about. Will our works stand...because they are done in Christ and righteousness?

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:9-11

(Thank you sister for the scripture:-)

Keep holding fast to the Lord and His truth sister soldiers!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil
