Today's Encouragement (19 November 2023)

Greetings godly sisters!

The Lord had another day for us on this earth. We know that will end one day...so let's be faithful in each one to glorify Him and then we will have no regrets.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Matthew 25:21

I was reading this scripture...

Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Luke 17:32-33

And thinking how we don't want to have treasures on this earth that we hold onto and couldn't leave in an instant. For context, Jesus was telling them not to return to get their things but to flee. It is wise to live a very meagre life if you can as this helps us be ready for the next life and in not having our heart set on things here. It's something we want to keep in mind in the choices we make. And also in any plans we have we must submit to His will and be flexible.

I decided to make an audio and read a few more scriptures on the subject and add a few more thoughts. Hope that edifies you further. It's a good reminder to me as well of course! Everything I write for my sisters obviously applies to me too:-) I am a sister in Christ with you!

Garden and animal works go on in my days...

Planted out cabbages. Hopeful for a harvest to come.

Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

Proverbs 27:23

A sister sent a picture of God's beautiful creation and I added the scripture...

The family I was staying with in Canada made it through the US border (praise God!) and are headed south to meet up with other saints and travel to preach the gospel. It's hard to preach the gospel in a snowy winter climate, so that's good they can travel to a warmer place for the winter so there's more people out and about who need the gospel!
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
Luke 10:2

I wanted to clarify something. I had to leave Canada due to immigration reasons (sure we all know how strict rules can be these days) and not because this family was leaving their apartment for van life. If I could have stayed permanently in Canada, they would have stayed too or taken me with. I was well looked after for sure and I am thankful for their hospitality! I rejoice with them as they go forth into the harvest to labour in the gospel in a dark world. And I have work to do right where I am too. Not the same work but we each have to be faithful in what the Lord has for us on any given day. Wherever we are there's work to do and the Lord is with us!

We are lights shining around the world where He has us!

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Philippians 2:15

Keep striving on sisters in each new day that comes around!

Love in Christ,
