Today's Encouragement (27 October 2023)

Greetings sisters!

I hope you are holding fast in the faith! This life is so short compared to eternity and we have been called to our duty of obeying our Lord!

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Luke 17:10

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Romans 12:1

All our obedience is just our duty and reasonable service amen sisters. If we don't obey we are not doing what we ought as His servants and will be cast away as slothful servants if we don't repent and get obeying. But He is a good Master and our Father and Saviour to obey and honour! Who wouldn't want to serve Him amen sisters?! He is our only hope!

I sometimes think about Abraham being willing to offer up Isaac...

And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

Genesis 22:11-13

It's an amazing account with many lessons to be pondered on and learned and encouraged by. We too may be required to give up everything for Christ's sake...and He sure is worthy of it! We must love God above all else. We see the fruit of Abraham's faith also shown in his works of obedience to God. And this must have been such a hard thing to do. So we also must be willing to give up all for Him. And even if we don't get things back...like Abraham or Job did, we have the reward at the end...of eternal life with the Lord versus torment in eternal fires of destruction. Let us remember that sisters and not hold onto anything that the Lord wants to take out of our life no matter how good it might be. We gladly give up the bad and sinful things but we still surrender our will to His and walk the path He has for us not looking at or longing for what we don't have...even if it is good and godly. Ultimately He is who we desire amen sisters?

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:25-26

Let us keep walking along by faith after Him sisters!

Beautiful sunny day...

And I went for a walk to the post office. Some gospel cards went out also. We have such precious truth to share that can change someone's eternal destiny if they heed it and repent.

The little creatures cannot hide their tracks.

Reminded me of this scripture...

But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the Lord: and be sure your sin will find you out.

Numbers 32:23

No one can hide their sin from God either.

(Thank you sister for sharing that scripture picture:-) Let's bring forth a lot of good fruits!

Hold fast sisters! And if any of you that read are not fully set on the Lord having surrendered all and parted ways with the sinful world (including false 'Christian' religions)...I pray you repent as we know that even the righteous will scarcely be saved. Lukewarm and lazy ways will not make it on judgement day and I want better for you and so does God who is not willing that any should perish.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke 21:36

Love in Christ,
