Today's Encouragement (13 January 2023)

Greetings sisters,

Hope you're strong in the Lord today and holding fast to His Word.

Here I share some scriptures on some of the things we are 'partakers' of...

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 3:14

And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

2 Corinthians 1:7

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

2 Timothy 1:8

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Colossians 1:12

Interesting to ponder!

I was thinking something. We know many people like to travel to far off foreign nations to be missionaries. We know sadly most or practically all of them carry a false gospel which cannot save but what we sisters need to do is be 'missionaries' (if you want I call it that) to those immediately where we have been called. And that can be the hardest. We first (after becoming new creatures ourselves) may share the gospel with our earthly families and friends etc (which don't end up being friends any longer if they reject the gospel. Speaking of, Jesus wasn't a friend of sinners by the way. Nor do our earthly families end up being our real family for eternity if they don't repent and obey the gospel. The hope is that they do of course but we can only do what we can do.)

And then we may reach out to our neighbors and beyond. And that takes courage and flesh killing too because you can't just easily get away from the situation if you end up misunderstood or hated for the true gospel's sake. But we know all souls all over the world are equally in need of a Saviour (a true Saviour who saves us from our sin and sets us free!). We must love them all. And we must not be partial either nor not tell someone if we think it will upset them etc. And we can do that by letter or email or when we may be in contact with others as we live life. I'm speaking to myself too here in all this as we don't want to be guilty if we had the opportunity to share precious gospel truth and we didn't.

They began at Jerusalem too...

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Luke 24:46-47

And praise God His gospel spread much further due to persecution.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

Acts 8:4

I sometimes think that I have a big job right where I am. There's 25 million people in my earthly country and at this stage I know of no one else proclaiming or living the biblical gospel here. But God has His remnant where He has them and we just do what we should and He can connect up His saints if He wants! And also we have access to potentially millions of email addresses online so we aren't confined to just our area or country especially if we are limited and can't get out into the world much.

But obviously we as women do have limitations and we work within our roles as being under authority etc. But still God can use the 'weaker vessels' for sure to do His work. We know we see women laboring in the gospel in the NT.

It helps to remember who are our real brothers and sisters in Christ...those who obey Him! We know if they aren't doing His will...then they are not of God and of the enemy. We hope they repent!

Well that's it for now but I'll be back here tomorrow if the Lord gives me another day. Hope all your Titus 2 godly woman works go well sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Chayil

(*Chayil (pronounced khah'-yil) is Hebrew for virtuous/strong as in these scriptures...

And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
Ruth 3:11

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31:10

The saints I fellowship with chose new names for each other. It goes along with the new life we have in Christ and also new names to come in eternity if we overcome!)
