Greetings in love to my sisters in Christ,
Hope your day as a Titus 2 woman pleasing the Lord is going well! Mine went well and is almost done. Wherever the Lord has His daughters they are going about their business trying their best to obey Him!
My day had a lot of this in it...
And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;1 Thessalonians 4:11
Here's some peace in His creation...
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.2 Thessalonians 3:10
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.Matthew 13:32
And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.Mark 6:31
We can see the needs in our own lives to remove ourselves for refreshing from the things that may be wearing on us. We don't want to grow weary in the good we are doing. But we know that physical work and especially with physical weakness or sickness and being around sin can be wearing and it's good to find ways when we need it to refresh. And that can be in God's creation and in His Word and getting some quiet time. And we sisters were talking about how refreshing it is when we can be spending time sharing amongst the saints. It is definitely refreshing.
And we see that in scripture too.
That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.Romans 15:32
For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.Philemon 1:7
I know it is refreshing spending time with my sisters or just thinking about you and remembering you're going about your good works...as I do mine. I think it is our mutual faith and fervent love of the Lord...without those there wouldn't be able to be the same closeness and trust. It is our godly deep love for one another, the care, and concern and sharing our simple lives in Christ. It is knowing your devoted hearts striving against sin, hating the flesh. It is knowing your innocence as you do not live in sin. Many things it is and it is a big deal to be new creations in Christ and all have that same spirit and affection and striving for the same goal of bringing glory and honour to our God by obeying Him.
Keep following hard after the Lord dear sisters. He is our shield and exceeding great reward! Keep on being godly women in your roles the Lord put you in at creation. And hold fast till the Lord comes or you go to be with Him! Stand strong this day sisters! I stand with you in spirit!
