Today's Encouragement (11 March 2022)

Hello sisters!

🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼

Hope this finds you all well and most importantly strong in the faith of Christ. We so know what an almost faithless generation we live in don't we, with love waxing cold. Most everyone's living their own selfish lives including those who all the while claim to be of Christ who gave Himself for the world and showed us how to humbly serve and truly love others. Part of what He did was calling people to repentance wasn't it...telling them except they repent they will perish. He was telling them the truth and not what they necessarily wanted to hear.

Reminds me of this...

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Galatians 4:16

Yes even our Lord who is our example, and many others before us became enemies for the truth didn't they...even unto death. But they wouldn't compromise. Us sisters too need to have that same strength and stand as hard on the truth and against sin.

A sister was sharing about people who used to be close to the truth and living more biblical lives and now are so far from it. Let's not get complacent either because we have been warned about deception and compromise especially in these last days. We know it's going to abound and perilous times will be and are now.

And there could be many areas that compromise could creap in. It might be in our dress...just add one little thing to make it look 'beautiful' and people notice or a smaller and smaller head covering or a tiny bit of jewelry or makeup and before you know and in looking back there has been a great change. And it isn't just these external things in themselves though we know they have no part on a godly woman. There must be a serious heart issue underneath it all and.....pride. God hates it. We know we are supposed to be humble, sober minded, holy, and such like so that God is glorified and not us or what we look like. Plus of course God told us not to be adorning externally but with a meek and quiet spirit and good works.

It might be in what we attend. We can't say no because we fear what people think of us so we go anyway. It might be for fellowship if we feel lonely and we start to 'accept' people that God's word tells us to disassociate from. It could be to ease constant pressure from family, husband or children against who we are in Christ. The list could go on. We need to seriously remember who we are to love first above all else.

We know there is this wicked lie around that God is ok with His people being ok with sin and taking it lightly. Some things they might stand hard against like the so called 'big' sins but like the beam in the eye they overlook their own sins and disobedience. Sisters we know we must first make sure we would speak without hypocrisy and not be living in sin before trying to help others...in the gospel or another sister for example. If course we don't think we're perfect. In fact we see the constant battle we face with our flesh and it can be very tiring and disappointing on occasions to realize we have to keep fighting it (till eternity). We don't give up though...that's the thing but many are. We don't want to grow weary and be overcome by our flesh but rule it and bring it into subjection to Christ.

We do not want to be 'children of disobedience'...

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ephesians 5:6-8

...but we want to be children of light! That would be by walking as He walked...in holiness and obedience to His commands for us.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1 John 2:3-6

Thank you sister for sharing these scripture pictures...

There's great treasures of truth and comfort and strength in the psalms isn't there. I'm grateful for them.

Bit of Titus 2 here...

Three big zucchinis for a big pot of soup...

And pizzas too...
God provides again! Let us give thanks in everything...not just lip service but with a truly thankful heart.

I know I've shared this one before but I love pondering on the depths of it. It isn't the amount that we give (not necessarily money of course) but what it cost us.

And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Mark 12:41-44

Like our life in Christ...we give our life for Him. A belief in Him is no belief if we don't do all and lose all if we need to for Him is it. We know we believe all He says and is and commands of us.

OK sisters...keep pressing on in the faith. Yes a faithless world it is. Well there's plenty of feigned faith but it's dead faith because it doesn't produce godly fruit and fruits of the Spirit. Keep going strong in your good duties as Titus 2 women too. God sees and He will reward His faithful. Hold fast!

Love to you...fervent and godly,

Sister Michaela
