Today's Encouragement (14 February 2022)

Hello sisters in the Lord!

I'm back again...to encourage you with some scriptures. Hope you're all holding fast to the truth despite all the trials and storms that come!

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 9:23-26

And that would mean all things...those that cost a great deal to us too. What we most treasured on earth before Him must go if we follow after Him. He is so worthy!! Because if we hold onto things that we know are not godly we are being ashamed of the implications of what it takes to follow Him. And what a terrifying thing for us if Christ is ashamed of us at His coming...that is not good.

So glad not to be servants of sin and satan and the world! Instead we choose to serve God willingly. He is all holiness and righteousness.

Servants of righteousness...I want to be one!

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Romans 6:18-19

Servants to God...I want to be that!

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 6:22

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelation 22:3-4

Servant of the body...I want to be that too.

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

Romans 16:1

What a blessing to serve God and righteousness and in His body...the brethren.

I was thinking this morning how we see so many not really caring what will be their fate after their death....or maybe it's more that they have believed the lie that it's easy to enter. There is only two places and somehow people think if they have this vague belief in Jesus all will be well when they stand before Him. But we know we must follow, obey, be His disciples, abide in Him and love Him first, all which goes along with believing Him for who He is and what He has said. And we sisters want to live as if we truly believe what God says and that the righteous will scarcely be saved...so there's no room for those who are sinful and ungodly...lest they repent.

And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

1 Peter 4:18

There's a great warning in scripture for us all to be sober minded about this all too. Why that if it's all so simple as believing in Jesus?

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 1:13

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8

Hold fast sisters!

God provided our daily bread again...

Good foods of lentils and spices.

And got to use up many tomatoes.

How many blessings the Lord bestows upon us!

And His peaceful creatures just go about their business...

Stand fast sisters! Christ is coming back one day! Or we get to go meet Him.

Be strong and courageous sisters as satan wants to take away all sorts of things from you. Our home is in heaven! And God has us here for His purposes and that His name be glorified.

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
