Patient Continuance

Greetings sisters!

How's things in your life? There's always so many blessings that God has given us and they are right in front of us usually. We know we have the greatest gift of Christ and eternal life through Him. But then we all have many things in this life above food and clothing (which are also great blessings) to be thankful for.

I love this verse...

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Romans 2:7

'Patient continuance'...what great encouragement to continue on in well doing (good works)! And we have precious promises of eternal life to come if we do!

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:22

Let's keep abiding in the goodness of God sisters...fearing Him, loving Him, obeying Him!

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 14:22

Yes sisters! Let's continue in our faith in Christ! And remember about the hardness we have to endure to enter into His kingdom! We have been told!

Here's one specifically for women about continuing...

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Timothy 2:15

Continue in faith and charity and holiness...with sobriety.

These are all great encouragements for us to endure too.

And it can seem like in this scripture at times around us too...many going back...

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

John 6:66-69

But we have been told about what it could cost us to follow Christ...He comes before everything and we know nothing is worth holding onto and losing Him and our soul.

Like this parable of the pearl of great price...

Much to ponder in all this.

And I share a video for you...

So sisters...as women of God...let's keep pressing on in our love and faith of God and Christ, in our duties set before us, in our interactions with others, as we shine our light. March on my sister soldiers! Soldiers have to endure hardness...let's keep pressing through because it's a battle worth fighting. Christ is our King and He is coming back! May we be seeking first His kingdom.

This....is so true.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:25-26

When you're close and united and living life together in the Lord with those who are the Lord's...you go through things as they come...the good and the bad, the easy and the hard times. My sisters and I know how to rejoice together in all good things. And I have also learned to suffer with them...to weep with those that weep and it is deepening our love and understanding for the preciousness of Christ's holy body. When you haven't missed a day's communication for about two years with a sister who has been so kind and caring in a world where that's rare, when you get to love and serve the Lord as holy women day by day....and a heartbreaking trial comes for the name of Christ for her...it breaks my heart also.

This verse comes to mind...

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Hebrews 13:3

'As being yourselves also in the body', yes we care for one another because of the love the Lord has put in our hearts. We care about one another's souls, encouraging one another through trials and attacks of the enemy. What a blessing and joy to see saints pressing through and still having Christ's peace through the greatest trials.

We have great examples in those who have gone before us...beginning at our Lord and Saviour Himself. And I know all the details are not included in the accounts but I'm sure many of the trials we read of were very hard and bigger than we can quickly read about but we know there is nothing new in man and they went through all these things and could overcome...and so can we!

Big pot of zucchini soup to cook down...

Isn't it colourful...

What blessings of vegetables the Lord created for the food of mankind!

And I served the soup with tuna grills...
...which consist of tuna, mayo, cooked onion, and wholegrain mustard on toast and topped with cheese and grilled.

Washing dishes...that's one thing we need to keep being patient in as it's a big thing we may do and important too.

So hope that encouraged you to keep pressing on in patient continuance in well doing! There's many good things for us women to be doing...holy, pure, and good things. And obeying the commands of God.

OK that's it for me today...hope to be back tomorrow.

And I leave with this gift from a dear faithful sister (thank you!)...

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
