Fervent in Spirit

Hello sisters!

Hope all of you are doing well...in the Lord!

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:11

I read a scripture for us to ponder on and be edified and encouraged in...

'Fervent in spirit'...that's one of the things that stood out from my scripture. I know my sisters who have that...a zeal and fervour in all good things! We do want to be good and faithful servants in our duties and unto the Lord.

It made me think of this...

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Revelation 3:15-19

Of course our energy and zeal must be in the right place...after fervently obeying the commandments of the Lord (which would include our Titus 2 duties for us women). And we sisters know what duties we have in our own lives to do. As that chapter also says, 'not slothful in business...serving the Lord'. That goes along with redeeming the time we have been given in good things not idle time wasting or sinful things. And we know we do our work as unto the Lord...and those we do our works for and helping and serving reap the rewards also. Again there's so much to remember in this Christian life. We sisters are always reminding each other of previous subjects we have already talked about and just a simple reminder is a blessing.

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
2 Peter 1:12-13

This is what Jesus our Saviour did and does for us...

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 2:14

And we sisters want to always be 'zealous of good works'! And in all good works...including those that are harder in the flesh to do. There are some commands that are easy...and some that are hard. But we know we do not want to disobey any so we strive on in all we know to do, overcoming our own flesh.

(Thank you sister for adding that scripture and for the picture below too:-)

That verse reminds me of this one...

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:10

We women are to be good and do good to others. We know that from Titus 2 and other scriptures too.

That's an interesting one and what a great word picture and awesome creations too.

Lots of warm sunshine around here...also means lots of water needed for the plants as there's so little rain.

What a blessing to have water!

Hot sunshine for Titus 2 works...

Peach blessings to use...

Such a beautiful sunset tonight...

Glory to our Creator!

It sure goes down fast...

Just a few minutes that was.

And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
Isaiah 6:3

Amen sisters. And we are His people striving to be holy because He is holy.

Well time for me to go. Hope your good works as godly women are going well and you're joyous in the Lord. Until next time...stand strong sisters!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
