Today's Edification

Greetings sisters!

The Lord gave me another day and you too if you're reading this. Hopefully you are all strong in the faith and are keeping walking on straight keeping your eyes on the Lord as I am striving to do also.

Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

Proverbs 4:25-27

We know there's all kinds of distractions in this life even good things can become out of place can't they. So we all keep evaluating our focus and make sure it's on the Lord!

I thought of this phrase from this scripture last night about resisting the truth...

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2 Timothy 3:7-8

And we see that literally everywhere don't we sisters. But it does only make those who really love truth and God and His righteousness more rare and precious. We see so few. We see many trying this and that belief and opinion being tossed to and fro. And they are heaping up teachers around them who have a mess of different beliefs. It's confusion. It seems they are overlooking the simplicity in Christ and not simply obeying His Word and instead looking for something 'more' and different.

We know there are very many swept up in signs and wonders and visions and dreams. But we also know that Satan can work miracles too. We keep going back to the Word of God and living by all of it don't we sisters. We can test the fruits of the people's lives who are caught up in these things and reject their teachings if they aren't in God's holy ways of truth.

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord : but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Proverbs 11:18-21

I thought of that about how the wicked join each other in their ways. We see that people can do that against us too. They unite, even though they don't even agree amongst themselves, against the truth and the Lord's people.

Perhaps just like this too..

And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

Luke 23:12

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Timothy 3:13

Yes we see that! His Word tells us all of these things!

So what do we do...

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

2 Timothy 3:14

Amen let us do that sisters! We have the written Word and the commands of the Lord for life today in the New Testament.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:19-22

Awesome sunset tonight. God is good to let us see and appreciate these things. And He let's us choose to give Him the glory...or something else. We sisters choose to give Him glory for all He has done in His creation and in our lives too! Glory to Him!

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Psalm 8:3-9

Amen!

Praise God for all He has made!

Well you have a fruitful day in the the Lord my sisters! Lord willing I will share some more edification and encouragement here tomorrow. Hold fast to the faith!

Love in Christ,

Sister Michaela
