Simple Sister Edification

Hello sisters!

A new day is here! And nearly over for me by now. Such is the cycle of life that God set the sun and moon in place to give us days and nights and seasons. What an awesome creation it all is!

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Genesis 1:14-19

And today it's still doing what it all was created to do! And we look forward to the time when we won't need the sun or moon but the Lord Himself will be our light!

Hope you are all doing well sisters!

We sisters are preparing for however the Lord may use us and what a precious gift we have in being able to read His Word...and have it to give to others. We hide God's Word in our hearts don't we sisters. And why?

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalm 119:11

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

I love those verses! And this one...

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

Sometimes we can just read these familiar scriptures and think we know all they are saying but to focus on each word freshens it in our minds again and there's so much to ponder in them all. What great treasures are in His Word!

I came across this verse today...

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Proverbs 28:9

And it reminded me of all the people these days also who are not hearing the full truth of God's Word and Christ's law, just taking or following what they want to. But we sisters are willing to take it all, the hard and the easy, the comfortable and the uncomfortable, of what we are commanded to do. It's surrendering our lives and wills to God, dying to self and sin, being alive in Christ!

And some more great verses to ponder from that chapter...

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

Proverbs 28:26

Right we don't want to do that. We want to trust the Lord and His Word and what He says.

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Proverbs 28:13

Oh right yes sisters...that reminds me of coming to the light. We don't want to hide in any darkness...but confess it all to the Lord...and forsake it! And He is so merciful to forgive if we do that!

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 3:20-21

------------------------------

I'm thankful for the provision of cabbages...

To use in making good foods to sustain us..

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thessalonians 5:18

And I took you with mulberry picking. (And you can listen to the peaceful birds too)...

And over an hour's work of picking...

A sister on the other side of the world popped in to message me while I was picking. I told her what I was doing and she said she'd help me pick if she could:-) That would make it go faster and be a good Titus 2 thing to do together.

I have turned the mulberries into frozen ones and I hope to make mulberry chia pudding soon too.

We are very blessed with plenty to eat...and a great deal of variety too! Praise our God!

Well sisters that's what I have to share today. Glory be to our great God for all He has done for us! How can we not give our lives in service to Him! I hope to be back tomorrow...if the Lord wills! Hold fast in the faith sisters!

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.

Psalm 106:48

Love to you in Christ,

Sister Michaela
