Scripture Collection and Encouragement

Greetings godly sisters!

I'm back again. How are each of you going? Striving and strong, rooted in Christ and His peace that the world can't take away I hope!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

I just thought I'd share a collection of edifying and encouraging scriptures for us all to ponder. God's Word is true and so strengthening is it not sisters?!

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Isaiah 64:8

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

2 Corinthians 7:10

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Romans 5:11

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18

Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

Joel 2:12-13

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

(thank you for the pictures sister:-)

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Romans 12:15

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12:26

Those are so true in the life of true and loving saints. Such a contrast isn't it sisters from the big church buildings today that someone can slip in and out of with no one having a clue what is going on in their life and of course there is no real unity because no one knows what the other believes. What a counterfeit of God's ways He ordained. Praise God for the true body of Christ and God's true ways. We are knit together in love and working as a body, all with different roles and abilities and gifts but nevertheless the same love and care for each other without partiality.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

1 Corinthians 12:25

Thank you sister for these pictures...gifts of love that I get to also share here.

Amen indeed it is a blessing and refreshment to know of and have communication with other saints who love the Lord fervently. It is refreshing to share daily life together, the joys and the sorrows as we run this race, glorifying and praising the Lord together.

Amen sisters let us remember that the Lord gives us peace and safety. Our trust must be in Him.

What a great God we serve who knows all things and changes not!

And a sister and I were sharing about how when we say things we need to mean them. Like for example when we say 'the will of the Lord be done' we need to have realized the depths of what that means. It is a total surrender of our will to His isn't it. We sometimes find we really didn't mean it or understand the depths of it until something  unexpected or disappointing comes upon us and we get moved or discouraged.

And it can be in other things too like when we say we trust God we have to mean it too. I so love what Job said here...

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 13:15

In fact aren't you thankful for the example of Job and what horrendous situations the Lord allowed to happen to him...yet he trusted still.

And another sister was sharing how she is amazed at how few true believers there really are. I was too when I first learned the truth and I still have a hard time realizing it but it's one of those things we just have to trust the Lord about. He will deal with everyone justly. We have been told the way is strait and narrow and there are few! We must cling to Him.

There are other areas we have to really think whether we really mean what we say or not like in forgiveness and love. People can say they forgive but if it isn't full forgiveness, well aren't you thankful for your own life that Jesus' forgiveness is full? He doesn't hold sin against us that we repented of. So we need to have the same forgiveness lest we not be forgiven by God either. And love too...it's not just words but actions. So we need to make sure our words are not idle but sincere from the heart meaning what we say. And the Lord knows the truth and all the motives of our hearts and those around us.

We all learn in the depths of trust and faith and being submitted to the Lord's will don't we sisters. His promise is that it all works for good to those who love Him.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

And thank you sisters for these scriptures you shared with me today...

And the sun sets on my day...

Lord willing (meaning I will be submitted and content if He has other plans for me or takes away our ability to communicate) I will be back here tomorrow. I know you sisters understand that too.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 124:8

Love in Christ to you all.

Hold fast!
