What a joy to get one more day to live for the Lord! Hope yours is going well!
I read Psalm 34 for you sisters!
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Matthew 5:13
We are to be the salt of the earth sisters! Let us not lose our savour and grow useless by growing weak and being just like the world around us. We are to be holy, separate unto God, peculiar people, zealous of good works...salt and light!
Also remember sisters if someone brings you a scripture and it's out of context or incomplete truth, remember we live by all of God's words and see our example in Christ of how He said 'it is written again' when the devil quoted scripture to Him.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Matthew 4:7
That's so comforting sisters...at least I find it so. Praise God for all of His words! His Word and ways are so high! Glory to Him! Don't grow weary or discouraged sisters!
A thought came to me from this scripture for when we wonder why people don't repent...
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Luke 16:27-31
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
John 8:42-43
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:25-28
Remember that sisters. Most do not understand what we are talking about when we share truth with them or just live our lives as godly women. It takes the Spirit to open eyes and ears and a repentant seeking heart. Let's not be surprised sisters if people do not understand us. And we know persecution comes too. But we can trust in the Lord!
I'm sure you already guess what I think of when I see a vine...abiding in Christ.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:1-8
Let us do so sisters! Our lives are all about Him!
