My Day in the Lord

Good day sisters around the world!

I hope you are well and strong in the Lord today!

First, I share a collection of verses to ponder...

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:"

1 Peter 1:8

"If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."

1 John 4:20-21

"(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)"

2 Corinthians 5:7

"Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

John 20:29

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Hebrews 11:1

Amen we have not seen God, as we walk by faith, yet we love Him! And we love His children who we may see or at least might communicate with.

And I share a bit from my day.

Messaged with a sister...

I was starting work on my shirt sewing...

And was able to do some today, but then was asked to run some errands for the family. So I did that.

It was nice to see freshly ploughed fields and fresh green grain crops sprouting and the sun shining on them. I'm sure the farmers hope for a good season and a fruitful harvest.

Speaking of which, I saw this bag of grain back home which a family member had been doing some seed sowing with.

Amazing creation of God the seed is! Reminds me of the precious seeds of God's truth which we bear and can be ready to share with others.

All we can do is plant, being ready with the gospel and prepared to give an answer, be available to help others, do what we can, and leave the rest to God.

"I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase."

1 Corinthians 3:6-7

We can be faithful in what we ought to do.

"So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."

Luke 17:10

As Paul said...

"For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"

1 Corinthians 9:16

And obviously we women aren't to go around preaching but we still can be prepared and shining our light in ways appropriate to us.

We have such precious truth unto eternal life!

One of my jobs I had to do today was to fill up the car with gas, so the young woman serving there got the good news...

I keep some gospel cards in my phone case and so they are in easy reach and you can just pull one out when you get your cash or bank card out etc. Or anytime you have the opportunity to share this precious truth of how we can have eternal life through Christ. And this can be as we women go about our Titus 2 duties in being helpers and servants when we go into the world.

Or you can carry them in a shirt pocket or in bag like this...

First make sure you have the gospel correct as there are many false ones around these days.

And I saw this in the post office while I was waiting...

The world picks bits from the Bible that it's comfortable with. And sells it right along with evil dark things right next to it.

True godly love is a treasure...

"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

And I share the meal I cooked tonight. It was slow-cooked corned beef (which was super tender) with veggies and gravy.

And a plum milkshake for dessert...

Praise the Lord for providing much good food!

Well, sisters one more day gone for me and no doubt for you too. Well at least from the time you read my previous post. You may be on the other side of the world and that may make time differences harder to work out but still we all had been given more time to glorify God and live for Him. So I'll leave it at that and I hope you were encouraged wherever you are.

Lord willing I shall be back tomorrow.

"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

2 Corinthians 13:11

Love and peace in Christ,

...from one of God's servants
