Uplifting Scriptures and My Day

Greetings one more day sisters!

"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving."

Colossians 2:6-7

Hope today was good for you sisters! (Or maybe you are starting a day so I hope that will be good too!)

I thought I'd share a few encouraging scriptures today.

Just reading and pondering this is uplifting!

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Isaiah 40:28-31

Amen!

And this one's strengthening too!

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:"

Isaiah 26:3-4

I love this one too...

"Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there :

And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."

Isaiah 35:3-10

Praise God for His Word that refreshes us.

I thought this picture might make you smile:-) The picture on the left is, well what struggles I had with sewing onto a new kind of knit fabric. It's my practice as I get set up 'just right' for sewing a more difficult fabric. And I'm hoping I don't get that happening any more, as on the right the problem seems to be solved.

I did a little more sewing today...

The next skirt in the making...

And a treat of chocolate covered almonds...

And lamb feeding time (and a chicken having a dust bath nearby:-)

These are probably the potatoes with the most sprouts I've ever seen! They made me smile:-) They're simply doing what God created them to do.

And then the family said there was to be a lunar eclipse tonight so I got hold of a better camera (than the usual mobile phone) and this is what it looked like...

About an hour later it looked like this...

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof."

Psalm 19:1-6

Amen and indeed all are without excuse of a mighty Creator.

And then another hour later the moon was back to normal...

That's awesome to see even if it is through the lens of a camera so more details are visible.

And as I finish off this post in my room late at night I can hear the distant roar of the ocean. When the wind is right it can be heard like that and sometimes the nice ocean smells too. (It's about 15 kilometres away though.).

So I post an older ocean scripture picture from nearby...

I hope this post for today has encouraged you.

I certainly know that it's always good to be reminded of many different things in this life as we strive to live pleasing to the Lord in all areas. Today I was pondering those uplifting scriptures. And there's many more of course! And I appreciated seeing His wonderful creation.

And I leave with a scripture a sister shared today...

Amen let us watch! And not be found unprepared for eternity.

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

Revelation 3:5

Love to you in Christ,
