Water of Life

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb."
Revelation 22:1

Hello sisters!

I hope and pray you are all striving on in holiness and obedience to the Lord's ways. May we be shining lights in a dark world to the Father's glory.

Today I am going to share something on water.

A sister shared this with me today...

"O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;"
Psalm 63:1

And it blessed me. So I thought I'd post on water. And maybe because I was thirsty it helped to get me started on this post:-). Water is an amazing precious gift. And one I think most take for granted.

The other week our water to the house had to be turned off for several days due to a tap that wouldn't turn off. Moments like that help you to remember again how much we rely on it. And I often think how women in poor countries might have to travel miles to a water source. If we have free access to water, we are so blessed! Let us give thanks to the Father for it.

Being in the country, we have rainwater tanks. And we have this ultra violet light water steriliser under the kitchen sink...so we have pure drinking water on tap.

Most important is the spiritual water. Of course we have to have physical water though...then we wouldn't exist. But Jesus is that living water of life.

"Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw."

John 4:10-15

As a keeper at home myself, and probably most of you who will read this, we use water a lot; to cook, to clean, and to do many other things. Sometimes you don't realise all what you use it for until you have to go without.

I am going to share mostly scriptures for interests sake and I hope they can bless you to ponder this gift from the Father.

We can bless others and be blessed by water...

"And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward."
Matthew 10:42

"For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward."
Mark 9:41

I have a lot of these pictures of flowers and things with dew or raindrops on them. I love them as you can probably tell. And may the scriptures I share edify you.

"My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:"
Deuteronomy 32:2

Water destroyed the earth. It can be as gentle as all those dew drops on the flowers...or as powerful as to destroy the whole earth. May we fear the Creator.

"And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die."
Genesis 6:17

"Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:"
2 Peter 3:6

We can plant and water in spiritual ways with seeds of truth of the Word.

"Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour."
1 Corinthians 3:5-8

"That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Ephesians 5:26-27

We can be baptised in it...

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38

The Old Testament is filled with washing in water...

"And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp."
Leviticus 16:26

"Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water."
Hebrews 10:22

"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."
Revelation 21:6

Here's an interesting one...

"And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head."
Luke 7:44

"After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded."
John 13:5

I should include this one. And I pray you are born again by the Spirit...or this will be your fate...which I don't want for you. See the biblical gospel here and test yourself...before it's too late.

"And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame."
Luke 16:24

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:7-8

"For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."
Revelation 7:17

"But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground."
Genesis 2:6

"That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."
Matthew 5:45

"Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out. For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
Job 36:26-28

"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
Revelation 22:17

Amen!

I hope that blessed and refreshed you.

Have a fruitful and joyous day in the Lord sister!

Love in Christ,
